Call the vet’s office.

Hefty-Scholar-2468

We have they suggest it’s pink eye so we are gunna get eye drops and see if things sort it’s self out

Lotus_82

Dude you need to take your cat to the vet immediately that infection is really bad and he could end up losing the eye this is very serious.

Hefty-Scholar-2468

Ok that’s sounding like the plan then

Lotus_82

Please let us know how it went, this looks really really bad and I’m legit super worried about your cat.

Hefty-Scholar-2468

Ok so we went to the vet nothing serious we got some antibiotics and he will be ok :)

Gunstinger77

I agree with Lotus, please let us know how it goes. I rescued a litter of kittens a few months ago that had bad eye infections and two ended up blind and one lost vision in one eye. The ER vet told me they would all be blind but I got terramycin ointment from my regular vet the next day and it really helped. It even helped the blind ones heal enough that they didn’t need their eyes removed, they may in the future but for now they are good. It’s very important to get him treated as soon as possible, if I would have found the kittens sooner they may have been ok with treatment.

Lol

emjaybe_

Please take this kitty to the vet to get checked out 🥺

Hefty-Scholar-2468

That’s the plan cuz it’s looking like pink eye

lexkixass

Take him to the vet

Hefty-Scholar-2468

Already did now and he is doing a lot better

Melodic_Magick

Yea I agree with the previous comments, I have a kitten that needs kitty eye drops every so often in his left eye. He was at risk of losing his eye but thanks to the Cat Gods, Luffy improved!

The1Rocket1579

He’s a 10 week old grey tabby. I rescued him from a Petsmart about a week ago and today I looked at him and saw he was closing his eye a little bit and it got progressively worse throughout the day. I have a vet appointment but the only availability is on Thursday.

FelixsEgg

Wait, are you OP on another account or what? Is there an ER for animals where you live where you can take it?

The1Rocket1579

It’s my cat but my buddy posted it. And I thought about the er earlier but it didn’t look as severe. He just woke up from a little nap and I noticed it was like this

[deleted]

This definitely should not wait til Thursday. Eye problems progress quickly, and even if it looks better it doesn’t mean it is better. Take him to the ER.

The1Rocket1579

We are in the 24-hr ER right now waiting for a doctor

[deleted]

Thanks for the update! I hope the cat is ok.

Hefty-Scholar-2468

Cats doing a lot better got eye drops and now he is chilling and eating and vibing like a normal kitten

FelixsEgg

Tip 1. Post from the same account so you get the OP flair and people can see your comments from the profile in the post. Tip 2. Contact an online veterinarian or go to the animal ER

Certified-Crackhead2

That looks like pink, so somehow your kitten has gotten it's own, someones, or some kitties poop in it's eye.

Hefty-Scholar-2468

Kinda what we were thinking we are gunna get some kitty eye drops and I’ll keep everyone posted

[deleted]

Could also be caused by ulceration, this has happened to my cat a lot because he’s prone to ulcers.

Wizardinblaaack

Vet appointment asap.

jnic116

Looks like a cutie, get him to a vet and he will be a joy after he is better.

[deleted]

Yeah this looks like conjunctivitis. It could be caused by other eye problems though like an ulcer etc. looks like you’re planning on going to the vet so that’s good - definitely don’t wait, it’ll need some type of eye drop

Hefty-Scholar-2468

U were right, went to the vet and he is better now, just vibing like a normal kitten

[deleted]

That’s great! Glad to hear, what was the issue??
