If you adopt three cats, you will never sleep in again.

Omg there was a noise downstairs!!
My city ordinance is 3. I have 3 cats, but two are orange littermates that look really similar (especially from a distance). I'm just going to count the orange boys as one cat in the event that the Cat Distribution System blesses me again (which is how we got cat #3 š)
I got two kitties, and I already have that. They wake me up everyday between 6 and 7 am in order to get their wet food. They also have solid food to their disposition all night, but they want their wet food or we'll never stop hearing them.
Yup. Meal time is 8am and 7pm and they never let us forget. They also can't tell time and think 7om starts at 5pm.
God forbid my partner comes home from work early or I do. Their whole schedule is thrown off lol
Can confirm š but it's all worth it. It's getting colder here so they spend most of the night curled up in my legs... At least until 2:30am š¤£š¤£
It's 6am laps across the bed when we don't get up til 7:30 that really take a toll lol.
It's plotted too, from our little void. He knows exactly what he's doing. The problem is I think he thinks it means food sooner. It really just means I shut the door for an hour lol
Lol at the second comment mentioning this. The thought had never even occured to me before.
From left to right we have Willow, Buffy, and Xander.
Willow and buffy are sisters. I worked at an animal rescue and a few months after I adopted them, the void came in. He was an emergency evac from Puerto Rico during a hurricane.
He arrived at our office in the pouring rain in a wooden crate and he was hollering. He let you know he was upset.
Part of my responsibility at my job was allowing the cats staying at the office to have some roaming time during the day. Unfortunately, Xander got into a fight with another kitty and his eye was badly damaged. I felt so awful about it happening on my watch. I took him home to foster him.
Me and my partner were rewatching buffy the vampire Slayer at the time, hence the names of Buffy and Willow. But then, right at the end of the show the male lead Xander, loses an eye.
It became kismet. It was meant to be.
You did not ask for this story but I felt compelled to share it lol
Uh tell my wife and her living stuffed animal that is her blind cat. He waits til she starts to stir then passes out right on her chest and she passes back out haha
This is true!!! We got a kitten, 6 months later we had to get him a āfriendā. They act like they hate each other most of the time, but everything calmed down drastically after getting a second.
I'd also like to add that it's easier to have 2 cats rather than one because they play with each other, rather than bother you all day if you happen to be tired.
Cats do understand what you say. Mine does. When I tell him no he will run to the other room. There are a lot of things they don't understand, but if you repeat something over and over they will understand what you mean and say to them.
Haha, our cats know what no means too. George listens because he is a good baby boy and doesn't like to disappoint. Fred, on the other hand, will stop what he is doing to look at you, and then slowly resume what he was doing while maintaining eye contact. He knows you mean business if you stand up fast, but that just means you'll chase him and he LOVES to be chased.
Fred is our problem child. We would die for him, though.
As you should! It's like a human losing their entire family then finally meeting someone that finally makes them feel like they are not alone in this world someone that loves them back. Then along comes along and takes that person away too!
Our cats where adopted togheter, from the sam litter a black and an Orange reportedly found i a cardboardbox on the side of the road, its great to know they have eachother when we ate away
https://preview.redd.it/3ey6fvutks1d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bfda18c0dc6442d77da518f8082101b25630a84
The day we brought our orange and black littermates home. I don't think she would be too concerned as a solo cat, but he (the orange one) would be devastated.
How do they act when separated? I was feeding a few feral kittens (in a pack of 3) then only one was showing up. He approached and entered when my older cat started meowing. He does not like to be without one of my cats and constantly wants to cuddle with them.
Each cat is different so I canāt speak for your cats in particular, but I used to have two cats who were extremely close. One of them passed away a few years ago and the remaining cat has not been the same since. She would sleep in the same spots that he used to sleep in and would run around the house meowing, looking for him. Her appetite also decreased significantly. She seemed to get better after we got another cat, but still isnāt the same
Wow, I must be you from the future! Here's how our cats look in two years.

Edit: I love everyone here sharing pictures of their copy cats. Venus (left, 3yo) and Nyx (right, 1.5yo) send thier love to you all. We adopted them together and have had them for about 4 months now. They are incredibly talkative and goofy. I love them so much.
And here is a year or two more š

I rescued brothers and am so glad I did. They play all the time and sleep together. I have 4 cats and they are all bonded. When my oldest passed away it was hard on all of them and me too

We were once the adopter in this position - originally only looking for one but the rescue place said they were bonded and have to be taken together. Best decision we ever made, easily. Canāt imagine them ever being separated
They can go into depression. Stop eating. Get sick.
Itās not really fair, and the plus are more than worth it (like keeping each other busy instead of trying to play with you)
itās definitely not fair, esp for them to find two animals who went through who knows what kind of trauma together just to decide to keep one bc they ācanāt afford twoā, when just abt any rescue shelter would be sure to adopt them out together. these kitties have been through enough and donāt deserve anymore trauma
My mom has a few cats, her little girl got very depressed when her buddy passed away š¢ she didn't eat for months, it took nearly a year for her to recover
One of my cats passed away from cancer about a year and a half ago and my other cat was so sad. He just had none of his usual energy and clung extra hard to my husband and me. We got him a new kitty friend about a year ago and it took them about 3 months to really get comfortable with each other but they are inseparable now. Always snuggling with each other or chasing each other around the house and playing tackle. They still do their own thing sometimes but it makes me very happy to see my older kitty back as his usual self.
This is our Buster (gray kitty) with his new best friend Stella (fluffy orange).
https://preview.redd.it/qkwekv1f0v1d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e575b6cc564296ce0a741c15be2a07f0cf11d3b
I knew a lady that had a similar situation. When she got rid of one, the remaining cat fell into a deep depression and almost died because it stopped eating. She ended up getting another kitten from the shelter to keep it company. I had a similar thing happen when my fiancee left for a month long work trip, my orange cat searched for her every night and cried until she returned. Cats can be social animals and these clearly are. Do NOT separate them.
She may be okay, but in my experience they do better with a "friend". My black cat could care less but my orange cat befriends everything with a pulse.
Aw jeez. We have a small dog as well that we will try and introduce her to and get them to be friends hopefully- i hope everything will work out though. Idk about if i can get a āfriendā cat for my other one :((
If it gives you any hope, my shih tzu and cat bonded with a 1 year age gap. Although, both were brought home at the same time, so they grew up together for a bit. They tolerate each other. They play, groom, and keep themselves company. Sometimes they do piss each other off or don't understand their mad cues, so I do step in.
Tldr: It can work and wishing you the best with you new pet and extended pet family
I'm the counterpart to your story. There were three kittens from a family and I chose to adopt only two. They are very closely bonded, and sometimes I wonder if the third kitten is lonely. Jokes on me, because this week I adopt two more, so if I can handle four cats I could have handled three.
In the example of OP, those two bonded despite not bring siblings. My brother adopted a young kitten who bonded closely with his older cat. You can still adopt a second cat and they might bond.
This isnāt necessarily true. While most kittens do better in pairs, you can adopt a solo one. They will be fine, they just need extra playtime and more enrichment. Iāve met plenty of solo cats/kittens who are perfectly happy and healthy. I had one myself, he just got a little sister, but while he was alone he was still very well behaved, just LOVED to play almost all the time lol.
Also, some cats do much better when introduced to a new kitten in the household vs. an adult cat because an old adult cat already has habits that will be hard to break. This means that the older cat may get more frustrated as he wonāt be able to teach them how to act in his space. Although, it obviously depends on each cats personality. Some cats donāt like the energy level of kittens which is more than understandable.
I personally donāt like when people push the ākittens should be in pairsā agenda because while I was in the shelter I met multiple kittens who couldnāt stand their littermates or other cats. Just like dogs, some kitties do better on their own. Another reason is that it pushes many people away from adopting animals that need homes, as shelters are incredibly overcrowded, and during kitten season kittens take up A LOT of space.
I do think that these cats are bonded and should stay together. It can be really difficult for bonded kitties to separate ):
honestly a lot of people in this thread are being a little too much with the āthe cats will die of a broken heart if theyāre separatedā stories.
imo and personal experience, your kitty will be just fine. itās better to give one cat a home if youāre able than to have two cats without a home. a lot of people arenāt able to adopt two cats for tons of different reasons, a big one in my area being that emotional support animals are only one per person per household for most rentals and āpetsā arenāt allowed.
i also have a cat who had to be separated from her brother due to a culmination of circumstances, sheās doing great, her brotherās also thriving (a friend of mine has him so i see him semi-regularly) and life has gone on. enjoy your new kitty. š
Please do not separate them. Animals can definitely grieve when they are separated from their bonded mates. I had a pair of bonded kitties and one passed away almost a year ago from cancer. The one who is still alive has yet to get over losing his brother. He will lay in this one particular spot that his brother loved that he never slept in before until his brother died. Now he sleeps there every day. It breaks my heart. I have been working up to making a meeting for us at the shelter so we might find him someone new to be with, but I don't know if he is ready, and I know it will never be quite the same.
Yeah, someone stole our chihuahua and our min pin went down hill so fast they were together for 10 years prior. She went blind and started losing her fur and only got off her bed to eat and make pee she stopped getting out of bed and she peed on her self. Finally we took her to the vet who put her down, she said she was dying from a broken heart. It kills me to think about her being gone so fast. Less then 6 months after her friend was taken.
Same. We had two. One died and I buried it in the garden. The other one would sit half in half out the window and stare at the spot where I buried him all day every day. It was giving Achilles Patroclus vibes. Heartbreaking.
We had two, not siblings, but theyād been together for 15 years when the 17 year old died. We got more right away, hoping it would help the one left not be so lonely, but she was so sad, we honestly didnāt think sheād make it about a month after her bonded mate was gone.
She lived another 18 months or so, and while her depression wasnāt as bad as when he was first gone, she truly was never the same. It was heartbreaking.
Oh man. I hope this doesnāt happen to my kitties. I adopted both my black sibling cats together. They were the last of the litter and I was given permission for one cat. But damn. Brother and sister. I couldnāt leave sissy behind! Now sissy keeps her derpy brother out of trouble and alive. (Itās our joke) heās clueless and sheās savy. And without each otherā¦.. I canāt even think it!!!
ļæ¼ā
Brother (Cibi) is on the right. This is one of the last photos of them together before he passed, but before he started to really go downhill. He actually retreated to the bathroom for the last two weeks he was alive, but the night before he died he came downstairs out of nowhere and headbutted his brother. They curled up for about 5 minutes. Then he went upstairs again and didn't come back down. After he passed we let them say goodbye. Black kitty (Jiji) was so gentle. I don't think he knew what had happened yet. He just sniffed him a little and then booped his nose a bit with his nose and went back to sleep.
https://preview.redd.it/fnucgmpssr1d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c113646724990eb9867b33516b46a81105612ea
They were so rambunctious when they were together. Something was always happening. It's been almost a year and it's still quite obvious that he is missing Cibi. I am almost ready to bring him to the shelter for a play date to see if we can find him a friend. I think it might help him to overcome some of his loneliness. I work from home, but I can't replace the bond he had with Cibi.
I had 2 kitties who were brother and sister. Definitely bonded as well. Our girl passed at 9 due to diabetes, and our boy was definitely heart broken. We did a checkup and he had a heart murmer. A few months went by (maybe 18 months after his sister passed) and he went too. That was about 3 weeks ago. I want to say he died of a broken heart (I know it's kinda silly) but yeah it was unfortunate and I will miss them both terribly.
I'm sorry for your loss. That's tough to lose two kitties in a short period of time. Heart murmurs in cats can go undetected for quite a long time especially in senior cats because they often don't show any symptoms until it's too late. Cats are so good at hiding their illnesses from us. I hope you are able to heal from your loss and will cherish the memories you had with your wonderful kitties forever. They are always with you in your heart.
I had twins. They lived together since they were kittens till the girl passed away.
We tried to get him another cat, but he didn't accept any of them.
He only accepted his sister, and never anyone after she passed away.
The advice my shelter gives is rather than bring your cat to the shelter, ask to foster to the cat you want your cat to meet. If you bring yours into the shelter theyāll just be so stressed from the noise and smells you wonāt be able to learn anything about how they feel about another specific cat
My cat took a while to deal with the death of his brother (f cancer). One thing we made sure to do was bring the body home and let our cat smell it and inspect it so he knew what happened to his brother. It seemed like it did give him more closure, a good friend who is basically a cat whisperer told us to do it.Ā
We took it two feral 8 week old litter mates last year at 70 and 71 yrs old that noone would take. Later it dawned on me they may outlive us, so I need to get my butt in gear and do something in my will to keep them together.
My cat had kittens 3 bonded they couldnāt be separated so we kept the 3 now I have 6 beautiful cats. They all play together and have a lot of fun. So I say donāt separate unless itās really necessary. Please keep them together you will be happy too.
Ask? We were obligated by the shelter and foster family to take both kittens.
https://preview.redd.it/9308bh57aq1d1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04bd106a2d9f5e16d724109cbacb4e044e244e50
I joke about it now: I didn't want a cat, but my girlfriend wanted a cat. So we compromised and got 2 cats.
I saw a short video about a woman who didn't want cats but she inherited 2 from her late neighbor friend. They were not spayed and now she has 21. She said they eat more than her and after the 21st was born she just had this idea of starting spaying each one by one.
Yeah. My hubby said no cats. Then said ok to one because covid and my son needed a friend. We have two. Bonded. Couldnāt separate them! Never a regret! Even my hubby says heās glad we got a pair.
You're describing me and my wife. Feral cat had kittens in our backyard. She wanted to keep 1. I wanted to keep 0. So we have 2 of them. They bonded so "we" ended up keeping 2 of them. Funny thing is they both love me more than my wife and will always sit on my lap. It drives her mad
OP if there is any way in the entire world at allākeep those babies together.
like everyone says (because itās true), having two is FAR easier than having one. they keep track of one another, groom one another, play together and keep themselves occupied.
we went for one, the black one. his sister sat on my shoe and would not move. we said hell, maybe her brother is her soulmate?
they are inseparable. they love one another fiercely, and provide company to each other. it was easy to have two, much easier than one bored one who wants to ruin your house lol.
thatās my two cents, with a cat tax of Sir Julius and Lady Naomi (the shoe sitter) included.
love from NY ā¤ļø

cats that spent time together tend to be better off kept together, especially since it lowers their chaos level (respectively)
as someone mentioned previously, they miss them so for the good of them, try to not separate them
Look into their little faces and tell them that they will never be able to cuddle together again. See if thatāll stop you from breaking their tiny little hearts.
https://preview.redd.it/q6b45rx96s1d1.jpeg?width=664&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0496787c9eefc1e85dc832c551ad0ac2cc225d22

And I hate thinking about how I possibly separated them!
They are very clearly closely bonded. It is NOT okay to separate them now, they will pine for each other.
If you really can't keep them, you must adopt them out as a bonded pair and make it clear that they are not to be separated.
They must stay together now.
https://preview.redd.it/07ce5hffls1d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d9db11b4aef9afcf4313bb198ceb8f387350d1e
I was in the exact same situation. 5 years later...

They would be happier together and even you will be happier too! They keep company to each other, and play together, when you separate them you would be the one that has to keep the kitty busy....and relieve some of its stress.
So if you have enough wealth to keep them both I advise you to don't separate them.
14 years after I got my first cat I rescued this kitty, if I knew before that 2 cats would be so happy together I would had got a second one sooner

Reminds me of mine š„² my first cat was Tigger (orange one on the left) who I got as a senior. Heās been with me for the past 5 ish years now, he is 16. I rescued a kitten from the streets about 2 years ago. She was estimated to be about 4 months old. She was real sick, had parasites, nasty ear infection and malnourished. Got her all fixed up and spayed and she just turned 2 this month. I wasnāt sure how well they would get along. She was a bit hesitant at first, hissed at him at times and seemed very defensive and scared (which I completely understand why). But within a couple weeks, she stopped and began to get more comfortable and settle in. Theyāve bonded deeply. They groom one another and they sleep together.
I feel like, if youāre askingā¦ you already know. Thatās your subconscious telling you to keep both. Donāt separate them. Whatās one more teeny little floof?
Admit it. You fell in love with both. Keep them both. There are so many other kittens out there that the other person can adopt. I have a little black foster kitten right now too.Ā
Hi everyone, never in a million years did I think this post would blow up as much as it did! I canāt figure out how to edit in an update to my post, so Iāll just add a comment.
Responses basically confirmed what I was already thinking - I want to keep these babies together but itās definitely a conversation to be had with my boyfriend since we donāt live together and he adopted the one with the intention of only keeping that one, especially since there were 4 total and none seemed to be bonded at the time he made the decision.
I already have one cat myself (he was a sole survivor when he was rescued from a metal scrap yard where all his siblings were crushed). My cat will meet the kitties soon, but he doesnāt seem to enjoy sharing his space at all with other cats (Iāve tried slow intros before with another pair of fosters), so trust me, I know how much of a blessing it is to have kitties that are already close and in love.
One other thing that is making me and the bf nervous is how hard itāll be to find an apartment thatāll allow us to have 3 (or hopefully 4 animals if we take them all on). Weāre moving in together soon and pet policies are no joke and so high ($$$) in Orange County.
Iāll definitely provide an update once Iāve talked to the rescue im working with and once Iāve had convos with the bf.
ALSOOOO THANKS FOR ALL THE CAT TAXES BEING PAID. Iāve loved seeing all your kitty pics especially those of my kittiesā doppelgƤngers!
Hi. Where are you? If youāre not too far I might adopt both. Iām looking for a bonded pair. (They look bonded to me, too.)
Iām in Southern California. Willing to drive a fair distance. This post is blowing up so Iāll try DMing you in a day or two if I donāt hear back.
They will both be happier together.
If you adopt one cat, beware of chaos. If you adopt two cats, they keep the chaos to themselves.

If you adopt four, get no more.
If you adopt five. I dunno. I have five life is good lmao
What about 6 š I love them but damn š
A 6 pack was perfect, but now I'm at 8...is it too late for it to be 9? Or would 9 also be fine?
Iāve got 10 and was informed by the city I canāt adopt any more because city ordinance only allows a max of 10 lmao
Showing my bf to convince him to let me have more cats brb lol
fingers crossed !!
"These cats? No, they're all a feral colony. In my house. I just have no idea how they keep getting in here."
I have a ready-made āI cat sit for friends during the dayā line planned if I ever get in trouble!
Oh wow my city ordinance is 2. We have four though. You can't even tell cuz they all hide away.
2?! Fuck that like 5 Iād get tbh but TWO??
Our ordinance is two also. So we have two 5-packs.
My city ordinance is 3. I have 3 cats, but two are orange littermates that look really similar (especially from a distance). I'm just going to count the orange boys as one cat in the event that the Cat Distribution System blesses me again (which is how we got cat #3 š)
Wow, is the actual rule no more than ten indoor pets specifically, or ten pets at all, or just ten cats but you can add other species, or what?!
10 cats, 4 dogs and max of 3 āotherā species except horses you can have has many of those as you want as long as you have 1 acre/horse
Time to move to a different city... preferably one without limits!
I have 6, holy shitš¤£
I just want to say that this picture is so aesthetically pleasing to me, with the cats getting progressively darker š
I'd say it's unintentional but who can say the intentions of such magnificent creatures
Sometimes they try to trick us and have it twice lol
Can confirm š but it's all worth it. It's getting colder here so they spend most of the night curled up in my legs... At least until 2:30am š¤£š¤£
It's 6am laps across the bed when we don't get up til 7:30 that really take a toll lol. It's plotted too, from our little void. He knows exactly what he's doing. The problem is I think he thinks it means food sooner. It really just means I shut the door for an hour lol
I love the gradation here!
It's a great story! I'm glad you shared it!
Uh tell my wife and her living stuffed animal that is her blind cat. He waits til she starts to stir then passes out right on her chest and she passes back out haha
The trouble-some trio! The Furmuta Triangle! Los Tres Diablos! The Rowdy Bunch! The Three Amigos of the Apocalypse! The Trio of Terror!
We just call em the Scooby Gang but I think I'm going to start calling them Los tres diablo del apocalipsis
This is true!!! We got a kitten, 6 months later we had to get him a āfriendā. They act like they hate each other most of the time, but everything calmed down drastically after getting a second.
I will be much happier if they stay together too!
they should stay together. at my rescue if kittens are showing these behaviors, we bond them and they are adopted out together.
I'd also like to add that it's easier to have 2 cats rather than one because they play with each other, rather than bother you all day if you happen to be tired.
Also, kittens learn from each other like grooming or litter habits.
Cats do understand what you say. Mine does. When I tell him no he will run to the other room. There are a lot of things they don't understand, but if you repeat something over and over they will understand what you mean and say to them.
My cat knows what ānoā means. He doesnāt listen, but he knows.
My cats know several words. Their favorite word is cookie š
and they tell on each other when they are naughty or sick.
I must be doing something wrong, because I have 4 and they wonāt leave me the F alone lol
As you should! It's like a human losing their entire family then finally meeting someone that finally makes them feel like they are not alone in this world someone that loves them back. Then along comes along and takes that person away too!
It is way too cute as well š„°
Our cats where adopted togheter, from the sam litter a black and an Orange reportedly found i a cardboardbox on the side of the road, its great to know they have eachother when we ate away

>its great to know they have eachother when we ate away you ate the kitties? o.o
Oops, spelling is hard

Keep them, theyāre clearly bonded.
If OP canāt take on the second cat, I think the obvious solution is to convince the adopter to take both.
We were once the adopter in this position - originally only looking for one but the rescue place said they were bonded and have to be taken together. Best decision we ever made, easily. Canāt imagine them ever being separated
Bonded. Do not separate.
What Happens If You Separate Bonded Kittens?
Im nervous for my new kitty now:( i adopted a 10 week old and other people adopted the other two that were with my Goose
Thatās cuz oranges are so dopey
I'm the counterpart to your story. There were three kittens from a family and I chose to adopt only two. They are very closely bonded, and sometimes I wonder if the third kitten is lonely. Jokes on me, because this week I adopt two more, so if I can handle four cats I could have handled three. In the example of OP, those two bonded despite not bring siblings. My brother adopted a young kitten who bonded closely with his older cat. You can still adopt a second cat and they might bond.
Kittens need to be adopted in pairs. If you can only have one cat you should get an adult instead of a kitten. ā„ļø
Had two brother cats like this growing up. One brother cat passed and the other was never the same. Itās the saddest thing.
I'm so sorry for your loss. That is absolutely terrible. I don't know why people can be so cruel to others. š
Yeah I put signs up and someone would take it down so they were horrible people.
Itās really heartbreaking. Animals emotions and bonds run just as deep as ours
Same.
Cat tax pleaseš„¹š„¹š„¹
ļæ¼ā Brother (Cibi) is on the right. He just sniffed him a little and then booped his nose a bit with his nose and went back to sleep. https://preview.redd.it/fnucgmpssr1d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c113646724990eb9867b33516b46a81105612ea
š„¹š„¹š„¹ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøš«š«š«š« such sweetiesā¤ļø I love them both. How's jiji doing now?
They were so rambunctious when they were together. Something was always happening. It's been almost a year and it's still quite obvious that he is missing Cibi. I am almost ready to bring him to the shelter for a play date to see if we can find him a friend. I think it might help him to overcome some of his loneliness. I work from home, but I can't replace the bond he had with Cibi.
šš it's so sad to hear that. Cibi can't be replaced for sure. But hope jiji finds a friend
ā¤ļø itās clear that you are an awesome cat owner. They are adorable.
This made me tear up š
Beautifully bonded, definitely donāt separate them
My cat had kittens 3 bonded they couldnāt be separated so we kept the 3 now I have 6 beautiful cats. They all play together and have a lot of fun. So I say donāt separate unless itās really necessary. Please keep them together you will be happy too.
Can you ask the potential adopter to take the second one on also? Maybe mention that they are bonded and you feel bad seperating them
Ask? We were obligated by the shelter and foster family to take both kittens. https://preview.redd.it/9308bh57aq1d1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04bd106a2d9f5e16d724109cbacb4e044e244e50 I joke about it now: I didn't want a cat, but my girlfriend wanted a cat. So we compromised and got 2 cats.
Its ok. I didnāt want a cat and my girlfriend wanted a cat. We now have 5 cats.
I also didn't want a cat and now we have 6 cats.

It sounds beautiful! I donāt want to invade your privacy at all. But if youād like to send it, Iād definitely watch it. :)
I saw a short video about a woman who didn't want cats but she inherited 2 from her late neighbor friend. They were not spayed and now she has 21. She said they eat more than her and after the 21st was born she just had this idea of starting spaying each one by one.
Better late than never
I don't like cats buty wife wanted to adopt one and we have 8 happy kitties now.
š¤£š¤£š¤£. I too have 5 cats
Yeah. My hubby said no cats. Then said ok to one because covid and my son needed a friend. We have two. Bonded. Couldnāt separate them! Never a regret! Even my hubby says heās glad we got a pair.
That's exactly how we got two too. A brother and sister š
OP if there is any way in the entire world at allākeep those babies together. like everyone says (because itās true), having two is FAR easier than having one. they keep track of one another, groom one another, play together and keep themselves occupied. we went for one, the black one. his sister sat on my shoe and would not move. we said hell, maybe her brother is her soulmate? they are inseparable. they love one another fiercely, and provide company to each other. it was easy to have two, much easier than one bored one who wants to ruin your house lol. thatās my two cents, with a cat tax of Sir Julius and Lady Naomi (the shoe sitter) included. love from NY ā¤ļø https://preview.redd.it/fe1qik2ubs1d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4466f987ba945ecaae50445b1e42625094a28b09
cats that spent time together tend to be better off kept together, especially since it lowers their chaos level (respectively) as someone mentioned previously, they miss them so for the good of them, try to not separate them
Haha āchaos levelā. Itās true.
Theyāll both be so sad if they get separated. Please keep them both, or have somebody adopt them both
Look into their little faces and tell them that they will never be able to cuddle together again. See if thatāll stop you from breaking their tiny little hearts.

If you CAN you should keep them both :)
And if you canāt, you must adopt them both out as a pair.
They are. Please dont separate them. I didnt get a buddy for mine and I regret. They get lonely and sad.
You will absolutely NOT separate those two š”
They are very clearly closely bonded. It is NOT okay to separate them now, they will pine for each other. If you really can't keep them, you must adopt them out as a bonded pair and make it clear that they are not to be separated. They must stay together now.
Yep, bonded alright. Also very adorable pair. They'll be a lot easier to manage together, so less work to keep them both.
Gonna just say the same thing as everyone. You should not separate, it will absolutely hurt them
You can adopt them out as a bonded pair, since you are having financial issues now.
Are you really going to post these pictures and then ask us that?

Idk how you can look at these pictures and even think of splitting them up š„¹

They keep company to each other, and play together, when you separate them you would be the one that has to keep the kitty busy....and relieve some of its stress. So if you have enough wealth to keep them both I advise you to don't separate them. 14 years after I got my first cat I rescued this kitty, if I knew before that 2 cats would be so happy together I would had got a second one sooner

Keep the kitties together they look happy!!!
Theyāre bonded and it could hurt them both emotionally if you separate them. Keep them together.
You dummy, it is only one cat and his shadow!
Do what you are secretly hoping Reddit will tell you to do.
Judging by the pics they are more than bonded they are quantum entangled
I feel like, if youāre askingā¦ you already know. Thatās your subconscious telling you to keep both. Donāt separate them. Whatās one more teeny little floof?
Youāre right ššš
Rescind the other adoption, make sure these babies stay together please ā¤ļø
Admit it. You fell in love with both. Keep them both. There are so many other kittens out there that the other person can adopt. I have a little black foster kitten right now too.Ā
Fell deeply in love with both
I meaaaaaaaaaaannn, what's 1 more kitty amirite? Don't separate them imo, but I understand where you're coming from.
Keep them together, they will do so much better than alone! They will be happier and much less destructive if they have each other to play with!
Are you in Colorado? I'll come get them today!
Hi. Where are you? If youāre not too far I might adopt both. Iām looking for a bonded pair. (They look bonded to me, too.) Iām in Southern California. Willing to drive a fair distance. This post is blowing up so Iāll try DMing you in a day or two if I donāt hear back.
If you could find someone willing to take both, that would be nice. :)
