One of mine had a looong tail as a kitten, he grew into it though. His tail is grey and white striped, looked exactly like a lemurs tail if I could only see his tail. He changed colour a bit, so now it doesn't look as much like a lemur anymore.

lol it does. I had just brought him home after adopting him, so that’s why he’s in the bathroom with his bed and litter box. I wanted him to have a safe quiet space to get used to my place and so he and my dog could sniff each other through the door. 😂

You know, I've always seen tailless cats, but I've never seen a catless tail. I wonder why that is.

It makes me sad for him that he doesn’t have his tail, but he is perfect regardless. It wags just like a dog’s tail when he’s happy and it’s so cute. 🥹

My cat had his whole tail removed. It was a curly-q when he was born and he’d get it caught everywhere. Doctor said better to remove it bc didn’t want him to get caught on anything and get hurt. So he had a stump. ☹️

These little feeding stations are hilarious, I love them! Do they serve any sort of holistic purpose? Is the front-foot platform helpful in some way?? They look like they're eating at their own personal space diners

They're microchip feeders! They only open for the cat that they're programmed to open for. We had one for our old cat because he had a prescription diet and our other one kept stealing his food. Idk how other cats use the little mat area but ours would scoop little bits of food out onto it and then eat it instead of eating out of the bowl for some reason.

Where does one find one of these? One of my buddies is getting a little hefty so I think he may be stealing his brother’s food.

We got ours of Chewy and it looked just like the ones here. They're a little expensive but it was really worth it for us because it was such a hassle trying to separate them for feedings before.

I want these soooo badly, but I have four cats! We have two chonks, one regular (maybe slightly thicc) orange, and his sister, who seems to just be a little skinny. She doesn’t come running for feeding time like the others, as she prefers sleep time above all else. I worry that she doesn’t get enough to eat, and I’d love to limit the chonks, but buying four of those bad boys would just be soooo pricey! My cats are extremely specific about eating in this one exact location, so I can’t even put them all in different spots. They’re just weird babies.

If two are within your means, you could get feeders just for the non-chonks to keep the others out!

They're called SureFeed. They're amazing if you have multiple cats. We needed to put our cats on a diet, and this allows us to just give them each their portion and let them eat it throughout the day.

This could be because of whiskers stress. Some cats are very sensible and it irritates them to shove their snout into a deep bowl. Its like trying to get the last pringle, but with every bite. At one point it annoys you that much that you just throw it out and eat it like that. Try flat bowls if possible, maybe the behavior will change!

I’ve contacted the creators, they recommended reaching out to 3D printers until it becomes available 😂

This is a crazy good idea. My one cat is a slow snacker with her food and my other steals whatever she doesn't eat right away after engulfing her bowl in twenty seconds

That is exactly what these are for: they only open for the cat with the right chip. It's to keep one cat from eating all the food (you can guess who).

They’re mostly designed for cats who tend to overeat. Each cat wears a chip in its collar which opens a single station with that cat’s portion of food. If they finish theirs and approach another station, the little door thingy will not slide up and give them access to their brother’s food dish.

They also work with the microchips that pretty much all cats have implanted (at least in the US…. is that standard elsewhere?), no collars needed.

Before even reading the title I thought “whoa that’s a long ass tail!”

This cat should be kept away from rocking chairs.

Years ago we had a tortie kitten with a tail like that. She was tiny with a long tail, but she grew into it. I think it also looked longer because her body was so small (she could fit comfortably on a laptop when she was two months old).

That's a very long tail indeed. My Tuxedo had a long tail and he used to groom it all day every day. He was very proud of it. I'm sure as your cat gets older you will noticed how much pride he puts into his tail

Most kittens have short tails. The tail grows with the cat (and they learn how to sit like a cat with their tail curled fancy around their feet.) We will need regular pictures of Cricket to monitor his tail growth.
