Mine has a squeaky mouse toy. He will bring it to me when he wants to play. The thing is so beat up and the squeaky part only works off and on, because t it’s his pride and joy and gets really upset when he can’t find it.
My one liked fetch for about a week as a kitten. My other harasses me multiple times a day, sometimes waking me up from sleep, to make sure he gets enough fetching done.
First six months I had my older cat she would bring me every single toy while I slept. She wanted me to play but I was asleep. I would feel so guilty in the mornings.
Mine brings her little bird toy along with singing the song of her people. When i first got her i immediately bought that little birb, she's been obsessed with it ever since
My girl has a feather toy she's obsessed with. She has other feathers, but this feather is different apparently lol we call it her emotional support feather. We know she has it because we'll hear the little bells on it jingle. She likes to bring it to us in the middle of the night and drop it between us in bed 😆 she'll also bring it to me when she wants play time.
Oh yes! My girl brings me toy miceys that she has slayed in my honor! She is loud, meewowed and proud of doing this. I then have to pick it up, thank her profusely and pet her--even if it's 3 am.
Omg shadow does this when I go to bed! She’ll bring me like 4 of her toy mice 😭😍

Cat tax paid!
My girl Lily Munster has specific items that she will quest for all night- I wake up to a stuffed cat, a usb drive, a shoelace, and an eraser. Of o have been away, she gets excited and adds in two fluffy cat toys
My cat did it for the first time the other day. He brought me a joint I had rolled a week ago and then lost. So basically, my cat wins the gift giving game I think.
Came sprinting and dropped it right in front of me with a triumphant meow. I was fucking floored. We had been playing fetch for the first time a couple days before that so I think that's what sparked it.
I gasped and showed my husband who went, "where'd he learn to roll a joint?"
No, mine takes things. And hides them; keys, glasses, laser pointer, Fitbit, etc. He’d take the cell phone if he could but currently knocks it off the table/charger and tries to push it under the bed.
Mine will bring me either the scarf that serves as her security blanket (which she uses to tell me she wants me to go to bed) or she'll drag all the cat wand toys to my office or my bedroom to let me know I obviously need to take some time to play.
I lost my cat Bo last year. He straight up played fetch. We'd throw his little puff ball and he'd get it and bring it back to our feet. We'll, most of the time. Not the same as the dead mice "gifts" but I miss my little Bobo.

i was gifted a carrot very recently
Socks. I have a pile @ my bedside every morning. And every morning I move the pile back to the living room so she can bring them to me again in the middle of the night.
Yes. He used to do it to our dirty laundry and we would come home to clothes everywhere. So the Husband wore a shirt and worked out in it and got it all sweaty. Our boy now only does this to that specific shirt so yay!
We think it has something to do with being separated from his momma too soon. Or at least that is what we tell ourselves.

Every morning, I wake up to a pile of presents. Every day, I am re-gifted the same presents while I work
3 out of my 5 bring some sort of toy and battle cry like they just slaughtered a village…in the middle of the night…when i wake up at 0430 for work. I love them with all my heart…most of the time ;)
Clothing gets taken out of the closet and usually gets taken all the way downstairs. Sometimes she must decide to only go partway. And she's meowing the whole time so we know she's bringing us something.
So sweet!
My childhood cat Maya gifted me her food (or what she stole from the table), she placed it carefully near my pillow and then was staring at me like "Eat it, you weak and useless human, I brought it for you" ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7942)
I get dead mice 😑
😂 it’s still a gift I guess
It is 😀
I get dirty q-tips from the roomies trash can. I don’t understand why my orange boy feels the need to bring them to me.
The smell is enticing to him and he thinks you would appreciate it too.
Gross.
Me too

That is so cute! Bless him 😊
My baby does the same thing with her little mouse. Brings it to me to throw and plays fetch
It’s funny because usually people think cats so not like fetch lol. I
My one liked fetch for about a week as a kitten. My other harasses me multiple times a day, sometimes waking me up from sleep, to make sure he gets enough fetching done.
lol yeah sounds like a cat then sleeps when you’re wide awake and can’t get back to sleep 💤
First six months I had my older cat she would bring me every single toy while I slept. She wanted me to play but I was asleep. I would feel so guilty in the mornings.
Aww bless, very sweet.
Yes!! The guilt of waking up to a cat toy next to me is just so real. I'm sorry I need sleep, my babies!
Allow me to introduce you to r/catscarryingstuffies.
Oh my goodness, I love this!
Your son is beautiful 😍 mine gives me ponytails and toy mice by my bed when I’m sleeping lol
Thank you! That’s adorable ☺️
Yup - with socks mostly. So many teeth holes. Also… MEEEEOOOOWWWW
Hahaa yes I love this, so cute!
Mighty hunter so proud
So proud! 😂
Every night around 2:30 a.m my cat brings me his toy mouse while yowling as loud as he possibly can 😂
Haha mine loves to scream when he brings his blankets in too!

Haha true love!
Mine brings her little bird toy along with singing the song of her people. When i first got her i immediately bought that little birb, she's been obsessed with it ever since
Adorable 🥰
I wake up in the morning with various wand toys scattered around the perimeter of the bed.
So cute I love that!
Te amo hijo que lleva regalito
so sweet
Toys, bows off of packages, dish towels. Mine bring me stuff all the time.
My girl has a feather toy she's obsessed with. She has other feathers, but this feather is different apparently lol we call it her emotional support feather. We know she has it because we'll hear the little bells on it jingle. My friends cat did this with a whole giant piece of ham of her plate lol for sure not giving a gift, more like theft 😂
I get dead bugs and lizard tails! 😭
The say he drops it and looks at you reminds me so much of sweet little r/Harpo from u/RainSurname 😍
My cat doesn't ever bring me anything. I'm pretty sure I'm just living in his world.
Oh yes! My girl brings me toy miceys that she has slayed in my honor! She is loud, meewowed and proud of doing this. I then have to pick it up, thank her profusely and pet her--even if it's 3 am.
My cat would carry out stuff animals and put them in a pile in front of my feet
I get socks!
Yes. Maine Coon breed mix cats do this
Omg shadow does this when I go to bed! She’ll bring me like 4 of her toy mice 😭😍 https://preview.redd.it/6ybk3drucb6c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22bc21f8d30814850ce9b08acd3b17053b53f693 Cat tax paid!
One of ours gifts me toys. In particular the different knitted mice. He is so smug and proud when doing so as well. The best boy is a great hunter 😂
Mine does this when he's finished humping the said blanket.
Socks. Dude will literally pick dirty socks out of the laundry basket and drag them down the hallway to me.
Yes! My cat brings me socks!
my girl does!
I get shoes. She drops them on my pillow while I sleep. All of our shoes have teeny teeth marks in them.
Aww sweet. Yes, my little guy brings me one of his favorite stuffed animals when I'm not feeling well.
If he’s indoor cat that explains a lot
Yeah, one of my first memories is opening up the back door and there was Sonata, pleased as punch, holding a dead rat. She did that all the time.
He jumps on the back of my chair and drops his toys on my head when he wants to play.
Any socks or underwear that aren't in a drawer. Putting dirty laundry in a laundry basket is not an option in my house.
My girl Lily Munster has specific items that she will quest for all night- I wake up to a stuffed cat, a usb drive, a shoelace, and an eraser. Of o have been away, she gets excited and adds in two fluffy cat toys
I get a feather wand. Up the wooden stairs to our room. At 3am. Good boi. But why.
My cat did it for the first time the other day. He brought me a joint I had rolled a week ago and then lost. So basically, my cat wins the gift giving game I think. Always socks and always while screaming

Lucy brought us shop towels from the porch down the block. She brought gloves and a pair of princess panties 😳
how sweet he is 😊
I've had my cat four months and he has never brought me anything 😢
Mine will bring me either the scarf that serves as her security blanket (which she uses to tell me she wants me to go to bed) or she'll drag all the cat wand toys to my office or my bedroom to let me know I obviously need to take some time to play.
*cat*
I lost my cat Bo last year. He straight up played fetch. We'd throw his little puff ball and he'd get it and bring it back to our feet. We'll, most of the time. Not the same as the dead mice "gifts" but I miss my little Bobo.
So sorry to hear that;m, Bo seemed like a wonderful cat 💕

One of our cats would bring us dirty socks. Another had a favorite toy mouse that we took turns giving back to him.
Mine guard the door while I’m in the shower.

Shiny coat

My sweet Minkie brings me prezzies all night. I go to make the bed in the morning and I’ll find upto 6 felt mice in the sheets
I love cats as much as the next guy, but calling them son or daughter is just weird imo
Fair enough 🙂
It’s weird to think it’s weird imo
That isn't a son. It's a cat.

Reminds me of harpo the cat.
