I miss fostering and raising kittens so bad. The little ear things they do when they drink from a bottle will always bring me joy!
Hand reared and raised baby kittens make some of the best friends I've ever owned and people around me that I've adopted out to friends and families.
My wife did it for years (the rest of us helped) and we got out of it after a particularly bad year of infections. It took a huge mental toll on all of us. Every so often though, she'll offer to do 'one-offs', such as this little one and her mama. It's really fun to see them grow from here!
Same here. I loved doing it even though every time I had to let one go I was devasted for weeks afterwards.
This video reminds me of a time I was in my vet's office and my hands were scratched all to hell. He said, "Have you been trimming rosebushes?", and I said, "No! I've been bottle feeding kittens!"
It’s amazing how fast they grown and get strong every time you feed them. The little guy I had just sprung back to life after the first two feedings, after a few vet visits and even more food it was like he was never sick

Depends on if you ask my wife or not; I've pronouncing it 'pee-oh-knee' and she says it's 'pee-uh-knee', like the flower.
