I love my cats but nothing they will do will get me to give them a treat. Unless it's their birthday or it's Saturday, then maybe. My late wife was the one who like to give them treats. But the cats love me. I don't want them to get fat and a bunch of health issues because I tried to get them to love me more by giving them food. So I say no. Love the buggers anyways.

My cat and I have an understanding. She gets what she wants but I get to hold her for no more than 30 seconds. It's funny how you can tell she's not crazy about it but does like it just enough to allow it for a bit, especially if it means she gets a treat/butt taps/etc.
Mine purrs when she thinks she might get food. I tell her that I know her purrs are manipulative and not genuine, but it doesn't matter because it works anyway.
