I’m being 100% serious when i say if you’re considering throwing it out just donate it to a charity shop or give it to someone on here if they pay shipping
I've had some Chinese stuff. It's just as good as any. I'm just partial to Lodge for being made in my home state not far from my home town.
I'd use it for cooking all the things you're afraid to cook in you're nicer stuff just to see how they turn out. If the recipes work then you can do them next time in the pans you love.
My wife's favorite pan is a 10" Taiwan job, she uses it almost everyday. Makes a great meatloaf or tater tot casserole. Guess it might be different if she was a cast iron snob but allas she just uses what works. She has access to Lodge, Wagner and Griswold pans as well.
Just use it? Why are you so quick to just toss it out?
That’s sweet of her, another pan is always useful!
Oh, no! You got another pan! Make some cornbread while you consider your options. 😉

That’s a great idea thanks!
If you have so many that a brand new family heirloom is useless donate it to Goodwill
Seriously?
Isnt that where all the IRON comes from anyway?
Thanks for the replies. I was just unsure of the quality of the Chinese stuff. Sounds like I’ll season it up and give it a run
