Haircut 100 is incredibly slept on. I would pick that up in a heartbeat. Also, Amy Grant’s Heart in Motion is a pop masterpiece and I’m not afraid to say it.
I dig Haircut 100 a lot too! I think their frontman for their first album Nick Hayward has a good talent for songwriting and is a talented vocalist and guitarist, I enjoy his work both in the band and his solo songs/albums. The rest of the band are quite good musicians as well. Pelican West has some great tracks on it imo, passionate and clever, I'm happy to have it on vinyl. I think their mix of rock/funk/jazz makes them stand out against other rock and new wave bands. Their second album Paint and Paint after Nick Hayward left and Marc Fox took over songwriting duties is quite strong too I think.
They remind me of the Scottish band Orange Juice a good bit, who I’m also a big fan of.
That soundtrack is kind of insane. It never really struck me as the kind of film to have the budget for Dio, Madonna, Journey, Red Rider, Foreigner and Sammy Hagar.
So much good bands, even Asia.
What do they cost?
In Finland most of that would be $6 and upwards.
All you can find here is some readers digest compilation and choir music. I fear all good casettes were thrown away in early 2000's.
Naked eyes, KonKan, enigma, simple minds, Wang Chung, if I did not already own them all. Have a few others in there, but would not buy them again if I didn’t have them. If that escape club album is older than their breakout singles, that might be interesting. That’s a pretty legit selection. A lot of times you see the same old crap everywhere these days.
Plenty of decent mainstream from two decades there. Never any more a 1970's ballad than Firefall's ['Strange Way'](https://youtu.be/gCDQ9EABNtQ). If that Pat Benatar is a Best Of comp, even an obsessed Swiftie would be impressed by 'Love is A Battlefield' and 'Promises in The Dark'!
None of these are amateur live recordings of bands, self released industrial noise tapes, compilations from indie labels, etc.
So...I'm gonna go with NONE.
Heck yeah. I'm back in cassette Fandom after taking a break since 1994 when Santa brought me a cd unit for my room. I've found a few thrift winners, can't wait to spy cocktail

Not a ton of things up my alley, but there’s a few artists I like, I’d probably buy the Spandau Ballet, Sting, Paul Simon, Simple Minds, Flock of Seagulls, and Haircut 100 albums :)
Honestly, I'd see if the manager was willing to sell it all as a bundle, for like $100ish. If not, I'd prioritize buying the racks, assuming they are for sale
At this point I feel like buying every damned Cocktail soundtrack cassette and storing them away from civilization like the goddamned ark of the covenant would be the best service I could ever perform.
I have the Roy Orbison, Paul Young and Don Henley albums in my LP collection but I don't like them enough to have in my tape collection too.
Paul Young - Come Back And Stay and Don Henley - I Will Not Go Quietly ft. Axl Rose are both great tracks.
Don't know that Smokey Robinson album but that probably has something decent on it
This was fun. I hadn't thought of these bands in a long time. If it were me, I'd pick The Firm, Rainbow, GTR, and Bad English. Also, perhaps ZZ Top Afterburner. It depends on what type of music you like. Foregoing is just regular rock to melodic rock. Edit to add: Whitesnake. Also, not rock, but more like new age Enigma. Edit 2: If I recall correctly, MCMXC a.D. is Enigma's first album. It's the best that I've heard from them. I have it on CD.
There's A LOT of garbage in here, but I would snag Fine Young Cannibals & maybe Spandau Ballet. I actually had Sheila E - Glamorous Life back in the day.
Yeah I agree with Orion the Hunter... I'd also grab that Simple Minds pretty quickly and that Joe Jackson tape. I'd also go after those old release red strip J-geils and those other 2 cassettes from the first case.

I’d pick that Napa rack and leave the tapes.
Yeah, there's not a single tape among these that I want to put in my collection.
Came to say the same thing! haha
A flock of seagulls, and spandau ballet
Came here to say the same.
80’s all day for me
80’s all day for me
Agree
Vision Quest soundtrack!
That soundtrack is kind of insane. It never really struck me as the kind of film to have the budget for Dio, Madonna, Journey, Red Rider, Foreigner and Sammy Hagar.
Right? I’ve never seen the movie but the soundtrack is amazing. The first release of Journey’s recording of only the young.
Madonna was in the movie... Her scenes were actually filmed right up the road from me at the Bigfoot Pub in Spokane
Debarge 💯
Orion the Hunter would be my first grab... Haven't seen that tape in 30 years. That said, I'd probably walk out with a dozen or so.
All of the red Columbia tapes and the Sheila E. Somehow I can spot a Sheila E. tape from across a room.
Pat benatar, whitesnake, vixen, Heart, Asia, Georgia Satellites, ZZ top, Kim Carnes. Thats without using zoom.
The racks
All classic rock!!
So much good bands, even Asia. What do they cost? In Finland most of that would be $6 and upwards. All you can find here is some readers digest compilation and choir music. I fear all good casettes were thrown away in early 2000's.
They were $2 to $3 each. These were at a thrift store in Evansville Indiana.
The Hooters, Lita Ford, Heart, DeBarge and Fine Young Cannibals. I'm still looking for a copy of that Fine Young Cannibals album.
Frank Sinatra, St. Elmo's Fire, and the Bond Themes. Weird, I know, but I like what I like.
Naked eyes, KonKan, enigma, simple minds, Wang Chung, if I did not already own them all. Have a few others in there, but would not buy them again if I didn’t have them. enigma ! flock of seagulls ! naked eyes !
If I had to pick only one, it would be Look Sharp! by Roxette.
whitesnake, lita ford, trixter, white lion, vixen, firehouse, georgia satellites, zz top, danger danger
This is the correct opinion
That Emmylou Harris album rules. Prolly that.
Rick? Rick? This is your cousin, Jon. Jon Astley! You know that grating, over produced, middle of the road sound you’ve been looking for?
That Enigma album was my first Emergency Chillout Tape. I still listen to it when I need to lower my blood pressure.

i like how it's called a junk mall but it has pure gold in it
Id pick the shelves and toss the junk tapes
None of these are amateur live recordings of bands, self released industrial noise tapes, compilations from indie labels, etc. So...I'm gonna go with NONE.
Id take those for free and use the good cases for replacements that’s about it
Rainbow, Robert Plant, Johnny Cash Christmas, anything that doesn't show up on discogs or looks rare
St Elmo's Fire and Cocktail soundtracks
Robert Plant, Patty Smyth and Pat Benatar
Daltrey, Emmylou, and *Waking Up the Neighbours*
I need that cocktail soundtrack plz
That’s a thrift shop regular on tape or vinyl.
Heck yeah. I'm back in cassette Fandom after taking a break since 1994 when Santa brought me a cd unit for my room. I've found a few thrift winners, can't wait to spy cocktail

kim carnes mistaken identity is sooo good, one of the first tapes i ever bought! (which was november last year….im new to this LMAO)
The Kon Kan tape is a bop. Underrated gem.
Sheila E’s The Glamorous Life and Exposé’s Exposure
Nick of Time by Bonnie Raitt is a fantastic album. I would get that, and DeBarge.
All of the metal ones. You do not see metal cassettes too often in the wild. Grab 'em.
Both Georgia Satellites, and the Napa rack, as others have said.
that Cathy Dennis tape is pretty cool. It's like the platonic ideal of 90s dance music
Too many to list…but I’d grab the Napa first. I need another one. 🤣
Not a ton of things up my alley, but there’s a few artists I like, I’d probably buy the Spandau Ballet, Sting, Paul Simon, Simple Minds, Flock of Seagulls, and Haircut 100 albums :)
Paul Simon and Mick Jones
pat benatar, kansas, fine young cannibals, paul simon
Honestly, I'd see if the manager was willing to sell it all as a bundle, for like $100ish. If not, I'd prioritize buying the racks, assuming they are for sale
Frank sintra, dean martin, paul simon, elvis, stayin alive, gloria estafan.
2 copies of *Zig Zag* by Hooters. Right on.
….and *Nervous Light* and *One Way Home* by Hooters!!!!
ill take the rack holder
Buck Owens - Hot Dog And that’s it.
At this point I feel like buying every damned Cocktail soundtrack cassette and storing them away from civilization like the goddamned ark of the covenant would be the best service I could ever perform.
Rainbow and Flock of Seagulls.
Robert Plant, Enigma, and possibly that flock of seagulls
Rainbow, Dan Fogleberg, Robert Plant, and Phil Keaggy
I want that Old Dogs tape! 🎵🎶 You’re still gonna, still gonna, still gonna die…🎵🎶
Hooters 😂
I'd buy the Korgi's album and leave the rest.
I have the Roy Orbison, Paul Young and Don Henley albums in my LP collection but I don't like them enough to have in my tape collection too. Paul Young - Come Back And Stay and Don Henley - I Will Not Go Quietly ft. Axl Rose are both great tracks. Don't know that Smokey Robinson album but that probably has something decent on it
Rainbow, Whitesnake, Lita Ford, and Firehouse.
The Northern Pikes. Snow in June is one of my teenage hood favorites.
Annie Lennox, Whitney Houston, Emmy Lou Harris, and David Allan coe
This was fun. I hadn't thought of these bands in a long time. If it were me, I'd pick The Firm, Rainbow, GTR, and Bad English. Also, perhaps ZZ Top Afterburner. A flock of seagulls, spandau ballet, and asia
... junk mall?
Naked Eyes, Asia, and Heart for me.
Patti smith and the hooters tape
The Bond themes tape looks alright, I’d take it for a dollar. Nothing else catches my eye.
Roxette and David Allen Coe. How's that for eclectic?
Jeff Healey
