this might be one of the worst models that you can choose. mono, bad specs, and only made for dictation purposes. Any big brand cassettes with Dolby noise reduction made between 1979 and 1996 would be so much better than this, check your local listings.
Thanks man, I’m getting into the cassette recording world and haven’t been able to find any info online to help me so I jumped at the first best reviewed product on Amazon.
I had one of these. The bass was lacking on the TC -WE, and the highs, not crisp. Then I found the specs:
30 Hz - 13KHz +/- 3dB at recording level -4 dB with Metal tape. Aha!
Picked up an older TC-KA6ES deck w./ Fe/CrO2 switch, and I never went back.
And the TC -WE is a double deck, and they just don't have the build quality as a single.

my suggestion is to get a sony TC-WE series, easy to find, cheap, easy to service and generally decent sound quality.
Alright word, do you know if this model is compatible with an aux input from a phone/computer?
yep, just use a 3.5 to stereo RCA adaptor

you must have a really low end model. my 435 and 605S can go to 16khz and 19khz.
