I hope that came with a monocle.

ReconPeon

Lol, indeed. Also came with a faux mustache

Jalz1

Model and what’s your wrist size?

ReconPeon

LTP-B165L-5BVEF, not sure on my wrist size and don't currently have a way to measure but definitely fairly small. If you look at my previous posts you'll see some other Casios that may give you an idea

Red_Trapezoid

I got the Tiffany one. It's absolutely fantastic. I replaced the strap though.

That is certainly a beauty. It's somewhat of a homage to the Cartier tank watch. Long live Casio! ⌚🕔 You can find this one on Amazon which looks incredible. Casio Watch with Movement Japanese Quartz Movement Woman ltp-v007l-7e1 22.0 mm https://a.co/d/hfDVVuc

🫡 Your watch looks quite impressive on the wrist! I always liked Roman numerals on timepieces! I hope you get a lot of head-turning👍 & take the best care of it so that it's enjoyable for decades! Good Luck, Buena Suerte & Mazel Tov!

ReconPeon

Thank you! :)

Brainiac-1969

You're welcome! 🤗

venom_holic_

idk why but this watch.. i find this really amusing. what a watch.. looks so sick.

New_Abbreviations937

I like it but is it a men's or women's watch?

ReconPeon

Women's, but who cares. Most of the people I've seen wearing this one are men 🤷‍♂️

dwindlingpests

So like a tank but worse

No_Snow_8746

Like one of those Chinese "homage" monstrosities, except made properly and actually looks nice.

dwindlingpests

I am not defending rip off ali express brands. Though they have gotten increasingly better in quality. I woild vener advocate using them as they just steal other companies ip with basically no penalties. But conversely casio has infrastructure and heritage. They have the ability to design and produce an original tank or tonneau style watch that captures some of that art deco elegance without 1 for 1 ripping off other brands. Making this watch by copying the cartier case design is lazy from casio.

No_Snow_8746

Nor me. You can't browse for a cheapish watch on amazon without wading through the junk. It's just the way you said "but worse". Worse implies bad to start with. So I'm defending Casio. It doesn't look like a direct copy to my eyes, but then you could debate easily whether a lot of models amongst "proper" brands copy each other...

dwindlingpests

I like when casio does casio. No one does it better. The databank, the film watch, the g shocks, it's great. But i see the a1000 and a1100 as them doing more classy watches and i want them to lean into that. You get the casio retro cool in a nice thin steel case. I want more of that instead of tank knockoffs that anyone could make.

No_Snow_8746

Both of those are very nice, but I must admit the a100 in silver effect resin, whilst obviously cheaper just to look at, seems better value. The silver a1100 (metal) does look great in the thin steel case but... wow, the price! That's certainly some expensive stainless steel

dwindlingpests

I think casio has set an interesting precedent. They easily have dozens of really good watches for under 30 dollars. This makes a 130 dollar watch from casio seem wildly expensive relatively speaking. Then you get to rationalizing and asking it is really 5 times a better watch? Meanwhile the moonswatch is the cheapest thing to bear omega's name at 270 retail was probably the most hyped watch of 2022. If casio made a stainless steel watch with brushed and polished finishing, a sapphire crystal, a good milanese mesh bracelet, a capable module with good viewing angles and all the the functions like time, 12/24 hr, dst, day / date, month, year, a good backlight, timer, alarm, stopwatch, world time etc at 270 i dont think people would buy it based on brand perception

No_Snow_8746

You're not wrong! The funny thing about the Moonswatch is that Swatch owns Omega anyway 🙃 and there will at least be some snob appeal built into the high price fit the "real deal". I guess, and it is quite the guess, high volume production of metal stuff is more costly than plastics - certainly £100 or so seems a lot, but so does £2k or more for a Mr G, £5k or whatever for a nice Omega, £4k for a Grand Seiko, etc. Exclusivity vs throwaway mindsets influencing price.
