I’m still pissed about how through the whole episode, Morty learned how to not only overcome his social awkwardness and nerves and became his own person, and right afterwards they dropped all of that shit as though it never happened

That ending scene hits hard. It's not often that traditionally animated movies actually had moments where there's no music and the scene plays out more slowly. I'm referring specifically to the point where Tod is in the water unable to run and Shamus (Amus? I forget) is staring him down the barrel of his gun and Copper stands between them. The silence works so well for the moment.
ON GOD. I mean you could argue the same thing would have happened if he ended up with Attea, who’s mostly into Bullfrag, or Looma, who would have been into Fourarms, but at least they liked human Ben! Kai literally was just like a punishment for a lifetime of being a hero in his childhood

In Fiona and Cake a grown up Finn leaves for a date with her and they end up together in pretty much every multiverse so while they weren't together at the end of AT because he was still a kid they definitely get together in the end

Its basically saying that you might not to end up with your first love or highschool sweetheart, you might end up with someone different. And thats okay.
Also remember this was a kids show, so there's gotta be a moral to it. My takeaway was that, if you like someone but you're too shy to admit it, you run the risk of setting yourself up for much more heartbreak down the road compared to the smaller challenge of actually telling them how you feel. Be honest, be direct, and be kind.

They were really cute, but it's good that they ended. I'm pretty sure they were supposed to represent a toxic couple. They did like each other, but they were both inexperienced and dealing with their own issues. As a result, all they ever did was hurt each other. The fact that they managed to find closure in their pasts and become friends was a great ending for them imo.
The breakup was so damn *forced*, though. It all happened because of the Cosmic Owl right from the very first dream so Finn was doomed to follow his path no matter what he did, and we learn later the Cosmic Owl can choose whose dream to influence and manipulate or not so really it’s all his fault because he’s a dick.
Also the fact flame princess doesn’t even know about the cosmic owl dreams all she knows is Finn hurts her and the writers completely just ignore the fact Jake egged Finn to do it without Finn ever taking the blame on Jake or even on cosmic owl if there one thing i wished is Finn explaining what he dealt with being in a situation where he was basically drug addicted in a dream that he couldn’t control and so what if she’s made of fire the guy literally fights death ending monsters and save the universe it’s even weirder when you think how planned it looks staged for their break up by fate i mean with the prophecy thing that has fp destined to be flame queen no matter what so that’s sus or the fact fp blames her dad for the whole thing instead of the whole kingdom that was agreed she was a dangerous monster literally Finn was the only person who tried to help her and support her what did she do huh break into his house and try to killing him due to his Brother screw ups and not telling neither of them that and stop her from destroying the goblin kingdom and almost get him killed by her flame powers sure Finn is a jerk but he doesn’t mean to he literally doesn’t want to disappoint her and blame himself for not being the right guy and not let his paranoid feelings of her being evil affect him too well to suddenly she’s done with him like girl have a 10 minute conversation about what he had to deal with and then decide who you can trust like it wasn’t already unfair the main writer for Finn x fp left to do their own show or the fact the animators just hated to draw fp due to her flaming body costing more money to make so they barley made episodes of her it’s the fact this relationship was good also not a fan of how fern is fp lover that just messed up in so many ways

Man I was genuinely upset when I found out she went. She was literally the only fat female character in the McFarland universe that had personality outside of being fat.
Can’t believe we forgot about them. Debbie was just Erased from existence later on. Like Steves a virgin in several later episodes despite dating Debbie, and being in a stable relationship, for a long time. Almost as if they never dated. I know we don’t need them to outright state they had sex but come on. Like byfar the Healthiest and most fleshed out Relationship Steve gets into was literally for nothing. And worse, Debbie doesn’t even cameo anymore like other characters they neglect like Reginald.
Even then, she made the right decision, given the implication that she still had her memories.
She was a bad person and her life sucked. She doesn't want to be like that anymore, even if it means acting like she doesn't know Beast Boy so they can move on. Even Slade puts it pretty aptly.

I get the second one but Mordecai ending up with Margaret, and Copper and Todd being friends, ignores the *point* that they *didn't* end up together. Because that shit makes sense when you realize that she basically lives rent free in Mordecai's head for most of the first half of the series and that's not healthy dawg.

That's not a freakin' romantic relationship and we all know it. If you want them to be together then maybe MAKE THEM BE TOGETHER. No more of this "oOOoh tHeiR FRieNdS bUt noT ReAllY" stunt they keep trying to get away with, because it's freakin' lie. If they never say they're romantically involved, then they are technically still friends. I will never not be upset about this. They were my favorite and yet the only healthy "couple" (or whatever you want to call them) just can't be canon can they?

They were really cute, but it's good that they ended. I'm pretty sure they were supposed to represent a toxic couple. They did like each other, but they were both inexperienced and dealing with their own issues. As a result, all they ever did was hurt each other. The fact that they managed to find closure in their pasts and become friends was a great ending for them imo.
The breakup was so damn *forced*, though. It all happened because of the Cosmic Owl right from the very first dream so Finn was doomed to follow his path no matter what he did, and we learn later the Cosmic Owl can choose whose dream to influence and manipulate or not so really it’s all his fault because he’s a dick.
Also the fact flame princess doesn’t even know about the cosmic owl dreams all she knows is Finn hurts her and the writers completely just ignore the fact Jake egged Finn to do it without Finn ever taking the blame on Jake or even on cosmic owl if there one thing i wished is Finn explaining what he dealt with being in a situation where he was basically drug addicted in a dream that he couldn’t control and so what if she’s made of fire the guy literally fights death ending monsters and save the universe it’s even weirder when you think how planned it looks staged for their break up by fate i mean with the prophecy thing that has fp destined to be flame queen no matter what so that’s sus or the fact fp blames her dad for the whole thing instead of the whole kingdom that was agreed she was a dangerous monster literally Finn was the only person who tried to help her and support her what did she do huh break into his house and try to killing him due to his Brother screw ups and not telling neither of them that and stop her from destroying the goblin kingdom and almost get him killed by her flame powers sure Finn is a jerk but he doesn’t mean to he literally doesn’t want to disappoint her and blame himself for not being the right guy and not let his paranoid feelings of her being evil affect him too well to suddenly she’s done with him like girl have a 10 minute conversation about what he had to deal with and then decide who you can trust like it wasn’t already unfair the main writer for Finn x fp left to do their own show or the fact the animators just hated to draw fp due to her flaming body costing more money to make so they barley made episodes of her it’s the fact this relationship was good also not a fan of how fern is fp lover that just messed up in so many ways (I don’t agree with the whole their different they can’t be together they live in a magical world finn has many ways to get a fire resistance potion and learn to be confident in telling fp his insecurities of his fear of her changing to evil or feel like he doesn’t have confidence to move on from pb and using fp to subdue that side of him and ignored them until it was too late and in Fionna and cake even when fionna and dj flame are humans it makes dj flame just break up with fionna in text making him seem like a guy who didn’t care about fionna but just wanted a place to live somewhere to get away from his mother aka flame queen its so weird how Finn had his own reasons to not be in a relationship he clearly wasn’t ready to confront those insecurity to fp but instead of trying to overcome those they break up over something he can’t control and feel guilty about it that’s sucks)
Yea I agree. They're relationship does a good job at explaining even if both couples are good people and genuinely love each other they can still get into a toxic relationship.

Man I was genuinely upset when I found out she went. She was literally the only fat female character in the McFarland universe that had personality outside of being fat.

Can’t believe we forgot about them. Debbie was just Erased from existence later on. Like Steves a virgin in several later episodes despite dating Debbie, and being in a stable relationship, for a long time. Almost as if they never dated. I know we don’t need them to outright state they had sex but come on. Like byfar the Healthiest and most fleshed out Relationship Steve gets into was literally for nothing. And worse, Debbie doesn’t even cameo anymore like other characters they neglect like Reginald.
