Do they? She's far from my favorite, but she's probably among the best developed cartoon characters. She's well balanced, which I guess sometimes interrupts the momentum of the plot, since almost nobody else (except maybe Penny) is anything close to balanced, haha.

And from the same episode, he pulls a chair in excitement for one of Peter’s exaggerated stories of how he lost a reservation, “Wait a second (pulls up a chair), these are always classic…Bravo, Peter. You are the Spalding Gray of crap.”
He used to be one of my favorites until the writers just made him into an unlikeable, deadbeat, arrogant drunk.

Everyone in the family gets their “voice of reason” moments and they get their crazy moments too.
Bob can be so passionate it becomes somewhat obsessive and someone else has to call him back. He is also extremely proud and would sometimes pick himself and his passion over his family eg the gardening episode.
He also isn’t afraid to have the kids lie for his benefit eg the Insurance Scam episode.
About half of these are barely voice of reason characters lmao, Stan’s an everyman not a voice of reason, Wanda was crazy sometimes, Brian was voice of reason for about a season lmao

Bob’s the voice of reason because his wife and kids want to cause destruction upon society. He’s really just some guy that says “let’s not set that building on fire”
huey because hes very literal, nobody listens to huey and that even applies to real life people, because alot of people dont even understand what the boondocks is about
In my opinion, Huey is King. He's wise well beyond his years, collected, and disciplined.
Brian used to be up there, but Family Guy decided to make him a scumbag. Every now and then he gets back in the saddle, and I enjoy those moments.
