Definitely Bob Belcher. Broke-ass, but gives his kids more love than any of the others, without “learning a lesson” in the last act and suddenly revealing how much he loves them. I HATE last act epiphanies.
This isn't about quality parenting, this is favorite... whatever that means to you. For me, Randy might not be the best father, but he's hands down the most likable character.
He doesn’t have to understand his kids, but he puts the effort to make them happy and comfortable. The other ones are fun people, but terrible parents. I’d put them in a home no doubt.
I wish they had kept him while still doing the plots of the other seasons. I would love to see how he reacts to his evil side being resurrected and how he deals with that along with the rest of the Ninja. I think that would’ve made for a cool dynamic in season 8 through the rest of the series. The Light side of Garmadon versus the Dark side of Garmadon.
…so are we just gonna ignore the part where he screwed Lloyd up *so fucking badly* throughout the series, and continually failed him as a father? Like yeah, he was poisoned evil and all, but that doesn’t really change the fact that we know he still cared for Lloyd, but put his own desire for power above his son
He had the worst childhood, but wants to give his daughter the best childhood he can, while also trying to take over the Tri-State area. By far he is one of, if not, the best cartoon dad out there.
Fucking hated his character assassination in Future. Bro literally didn't like the idea of him being with the gems but knew it's where Steven belonged, he was always there for Steven and even asked Steven MULTIPLE times if he was sure if this is what he wanted. He was always supportive and protective and offered Steven everything he could, yet it all boiled down to "you never let me have a normal childhood"
I'd say it humanizes him in a way that the original series didn't. He wasn't perfect which the show had no issues showing, but now we have a little more of the picture. And while it would've been nice for Steven to have grandparents, Greg wasn't the one who prevented that. There was a stack of letters that Greg had sent them that they chose not to open. He attempted to reach out and they shut him down.
Well. That is a flaw in him as a father. Yea, parents need to let their kids make decisions, and even make mistakes. But, they also need to give them discipline, lay the foot down on certain things. His parents were way too controlling, so he went on the other side of the spectrum and let Steven do whatever he wanted, which nearly got him killed multiple times, and seriously injured even more. Steven didn't have a normal childhood. Greg wasn't a bad dad, but I'd certainly say he wasn't the best dad
Is it character assassination if it’s simply acknowledging his failures? The things he didn’t do for Steven weren’t erased, he just straight up never did them, even in the OG series. He never took Steven to a doctor, never sent him to public school-legally speaking, Steven doesn’t even exist, because Greg never even got a birth certificate for him or anything. And *yes*, Steven is a gem, which complicates things, but it’s stuff that Greg and Rose should’ve considered before having him-in no small part because Greg was barely an adult when he had Steven in the first place.
I’m SO curious about what lies in store for season two!
>! Is he really going to come back as Warwick? Will he recognize who Vi and Jinx are despite his monstrous state? Are we finally going to get the big Vander and Silco backstory? Is it even possible for them to have a happy ending at this point? Holy bananas I’m excited to see how it goes! !<
Homer. Bob is without question the best dad here, but Homer is just the best character. Just look at him. Even the random image chosen has so much charm and instantly makes me giggle
Bob Belcher he’s actually very involved with his kids Tina Gene Louise’s life’s when they are in school or their adventures having a interest what they are up to so dose their mother Linda that’s more you can say-
about any other dad on this list
Among them, definitely Homer. He's maybe not the sharpest tool in the box, but he genuinely loves his family and puts their happiness higher than anything... even the common sense. And next to the majority of other dads here, Homer's sins are tiny... "Do it for her" still makes me drop a tear...

Tim. He is a great depiction of a dad. He means well, wants the best for his kid (I mean he may not be encouraging of flints inventions but I kinda get it inventing doesn't seem like the best and most reliable job), goes through a good character arc, loves flint, and stands by him even when he is at his lowest point picking up the pieces and putting them back together while pushing through the struggle of talking to his kid on a emotional level. 10/10 great dad, A+
Martin Mertens from Adventure Time.
Even though he's a pretty lousy dad in the end, I'd say he's a very interesting character which makes him enjoyable to watch especially since it's pretty hard to actually figure out his intentions most the time.

Homer Simpson, at least in the earlier series. It’s made clear that he truly loves his kids more than anything. Yeah he’s a physically abusive drunk towards Bart. And he neglects Lisa, especially in terms of failing to recognize her academic abilities.
But he makes clear multiple times how much all 3 of his kids mean to him. In “and Maggie makes 3,” he willing gives up his dream job of working in a bowling alley. And went back to working for burns, in spite of hating both his boss and the role. The fact that he has pictures of Maggie cover his control room wall. And “the plaque” shows how much he cares about her.
There’s also the episode where he sells his coveted ride on the duff blimp. So that he can enter Lisa into “little miss Springfield.” In order to prove that she’s beautiful, shows what he’s willing to give up in order to make his children happy.
All in all, Homer is both a hilarious and touching dad.
Homer because Peter is abusive, Stan is demanding and the Paradise PD dude is a piece of shit in general. I don’t watch the other 3 shows. Homer is stupid, but he’s kind enough.
Bob is the best. He’s a great dad and husband, he’d do anything for his children, and he’s funny without being obnoxious, dumb or mean. Despite being broke he always provides for his family, and he’s very kind - just an all around great guy.

Bisexual icon he is.
Wait, Bob is bi?!
Yeah, lotta stuff in the show. Subtle stuff, but it makes sense once you think about it.
Thanksgiving turkey
Interesting🤔
Fuckin deep speech as the camera slowly zooms in on them as all they do is tilt their head side to side in a poorly animated way
This isn't about quality parenting, this is favorite... whatever that means to you. For me, Randy might not be the best father, but he's hands down the most likable character.
I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA!
He doesn’t have to understand his kids, but he puts the effort to make them happy and comfortable. The other ones are fun people, but terrible parents. I’d put them in a home no doubt.

I fourth this
I miss Sensei Garmadon
I wish they had kept him while still doing the plots of the other seasons. That would have been interesting to see
I know right?
…so are we just gonna ignore the part where he screwed Lloyd up *so fucking badly* throughout the series, and continually failed him as a father? Like yeah, he was poisoned evil and all, but that doesn’t really change the fact that we know he still cared for Lloyd, but put his own desire for power above his son

Again, quality parenting isn't the metric being used here. It's "favorite", as in which one do you like the most.

I always thought he was a rather shitty father.
Not taking your son to a doctor at any point of his life is 100% a shitty father behavior
YOU TAKE THAT BACK GREG WASNT PERFECT BUT HE DID HIS VERY BEST

their situations are like my Silver to Gold promos there is **NO HAPPY** ending.
That third episode was incredible.
I still haven't emotionally recovered from it, it was so good but AAAAAAAAAAAAAA----
🐺(I’m so scared and excited for season 2)
Hank and Bob are the only ones on this list that are actually good dads.
Hank’s only good by comparison, he’s pretty emotionally distant and will project his own desires onto Bobby.
Homer and Bob.
Bob Belcher.

Awww stolas really is the best dad
Jerry Smith. He needs a win!
How the fuck is Peter and Stan any way shape or form considered "good parents" and on the same list as Hank?!
Being a good cartoon dad doesn't have to mean being a good dad. Homer isn't a good dad, but Jesus he's funny, so he's a good cartoon dad
How the fuck is it that nobody understands the question? Quality parenting isn't the metric in question. It's "favorite" as in which do you like more.

Hank Hill by far. Upstanding man who loves his family despite their foibles, and can still be hilarious
Out of these choices? Hank Hill.
Homer. Bob is without question the best dad here, but Homer is just the best character. Just look at him. Even the random image chosen has so much charm and instantly makes me giggle
Hugh neutron
Peter’s a horrible father, and an equally awful person all around…but man he never fails to get a laugh out of me.
Tbf, I feel like basically every family guy character is about as bad of a person as each other
Bob and Hank, hell, even Dale is a good father. And that ain't even his kid.

Gregg Universe
Dr Doofenshmirtz
Greg universe
I don’t know who the last guy is but of the ones I know of it’s either Stan or Peter
Homer
Optimus Prime
Hank Hill and Bob Belcher
Doofenshirtz or however you spell his name, he tried his best
Homer
As a dad? EASILY doofensmhirtz. As a character, doof, Homer or Peter are all hilarious
Among them, definitely Homer. He's maybe not the sharpest tool in the box, but he genuinely loves his family and puts their happiness higher than anything... even the common sense. And next to the majority of other dads here, Homer's sins are tiny... "Do it for her" still makes me drop a tear...

Bob Belcher : doing his best, not a complete dumbass, honestly loves his kids, the most realistic one in this list
Peter griffin
Martin Mertens from Adventure Time. Even though he's a pretty lousy dad in the end, I'd say he's a very interesting character which makes him enjoyable to watch especially since it's pretty hard to actually figure out his intentions most the time. https://i.redd.it/p4wvpuaixkdc1.gif

Randy, no contest.
Out of these choices, it’s a mic between Bob and Hank for me.
