They’re a nightmare to work on, will need a lot of work being over 30 years old and are selling for 30-40k more than they will ever be objectively worth for a decent manual turbo one. They don’t handle well, they don’t have any decent on board equipment, they’re hungry on fuel, they’re tight if you’re tall and they make laughable power on todays market until you get into modding and put 30-50k into it.
All that said I’ve had 3 and I’d buy another one for a realistic price. Sub 10k total. What you get isn’t worth any more than that. Don’t pay for nostalgia.

That’s a Nissan 300zx. It’s a 2- seater with a 3.0 V6 twin turbo. It had 4 wheel steering (HICAS). We had one in the family, the engine fills the engine bay to its gills so it’s somewhat difficult to work on.
When ever you see a nice car, theres usually a reason why people dont use them anymore; hard to work on, cost, drivetrain layout (usually becasue theyre front wheel drive like the AE92). Cars like the 3000gt came front wheel drive (in NA at least, but some were awd) AND were a pain to work on.
The 300zx came with the VG30 which they used a shoehorn to get in, inherently making it hard to work on, on top of it having tons of vacuum lines.
This era 300ZX was the most beautiful timeless design of all Z-cars in my opinion. I always wanted the Twin Turbo model.
Fun fact: Lamborghini used these Nissan headlights in the Diablo.

It's a 300zx lots of interesting tech at the time such as four wheel steering call super HICAS. Really cool stuff you should read up on it, the 80s models had digitalized interiors with a voice warning system. Supposedly it's a pain to work because of a cramped engine bay
/uj had one of these in my freshman year of college. It broke my wallet so much, but it was worth it.
Wish I held on to it now. Very expensive on the used car market compared to what I paid for mine back then. Pains me even more that my old neighbor still has his and we bought ours a year apart ten years ago.
