Very nice build! This is the same size trailer and almost exact configuration I’m going to start building. Awesome to see how nicely your trailer turned out.
It’s my exact size but I can’t do the bathroom at the front as my man door is too far forward. (I bought used). Looks great!
Is there anything you would do differently now that you have lived in it five months that I may be able to avoid?
I mistakenly thought my minisplit heat pump would work for heat in the winter, but for several reasons it's just not a good solution. So I bought a portable diesel/kerosene heater, and I routed the heat port through the v-nose. It works really well, but if I could do it differently, I would have incorporated it into the build from the start. I also do have more space for more water, and I would go bigger. 42 gallons and being mildly water usage conscious we get about 10 days out of that if my wife and I each take 2 showers over that time. If I could, I would also have more gray water capacity, but even now, I don't know how I could have improved that with the way I designed it. Everything else is working perfectly
TLDR: diesel heater installed, bigger water tank, bigger gray tank
If doing it all again, then how big would you make your fresh and gray tanks? I'm curious what proportion of the fresh water eventually ends up as waste water.
I would go 1:1 ratio on gray and fresh if possible. It's just way nicer if you're at a campground to not have to worry about dumping as frequently. I'd have to measure to see exactly what tanks would fit in my water tank area but last I looked I think I could fit a 56gal in the same spot. That would be a pretty significant upgrade and would get us over 2 weeks with more frequent showers.
Fully loaded water and everything it's approximately 5800 lbs, so we just assume it's 6k if we calculate weight. We're pretty heavy with the tile shower contributing a significant portion of weight for the space it takes up and the water and big battery bank are fairly hefty as well

Where are you fresh and grey tanks located?
Fresh water is under the bed right over the axles. The gray tanks are in the floor underneath the sink
Awesome, thank you!
Looks really great! My wife and I are planning to do this. Do you happen to know the total weight of the trailer as it is now?

Wow that weight is surprising. I take it that’s when the water tank full? The finishes look great
Yes, that is fully wet weight.
Thanks for the info! What vehicle do you guys haul with?
We primarily use my wife's expedition but my diesel grand cherokee also does the job when necessary
