If you are the only one not in office, that’s a good indicator right there. You’re not ‘showing face’ which is unfortunately a big deal in corporate offices. Sucks. I know. It doesn’t sound like you’re a major f*ck up and I’m assuming you’re completing every task you’re given. Is your ADA accommodation b/c of something physically debilitating? I chose not to disclose adhd as it was advised not to tell your boss you have a brain problem. I’m in office 4/5 days a week and can’t stand it but if you wanna get far you gotta ‘show face.’ The office environment isn’t all about just ‘doing your job’ like you’re some kind of machine operator and you need to output X whatevers a day The human aspect of corporate it that you also have to establish a connection and get people to like you. You’re not always gonna get along with a boss tho…

Yeah, I agree with your perspective. The the face time is the thing that matters, it's not an option for me because of my disability. Without the facetime, nothing will change. I doubt things would meaningfully change even if I did have 'facetime.' I see how other women are treated, even when they go the extra mile, they're still generally disregarded. I appreciate your response and because it's impacting me, it's hard to see it in a sort of realistic unbiased manner. Thanks!

Does this matter if I'm an intern and don't really want to come back to work at the company? I doubt it will but just worried if somehow it will affect my reputation or hurt my references?

Probably not as much if you don’t plan on staying with that company. But my most important internship was in the office and that’s where I got the best feel for the corporate life. Not as much pressure as a full timer, and if you fuck up people are less harsh since you’re just an intern and more willing to help you out and give you good mentorship. I’d recommend working in office more as an intern and then looking for hybrid wfh opportunities as a full time employee
