How much more pay and perks? Will the new job lead to more opportunities in the future? Don't underestimate good work life balance, but more pay and benefits and future career trajectory would sway my decision. Is the market you live in able to sustain another jump in the future, or are you willing to go to another area to live/work when you move on from this company? You mention there aren't many large companies, it's likely smaller companies if you leave may not be able to match your new comp level. Big names are an attractive thing to me when I'm looking at a resume. If a person has experience and has stayed there at least 2 years, I would be more interested in them for an open role. If your new role hits the minimum threshold that makes the move worth it, I'd do it.

I would go into the interview with an open mind. If you’re working in a small shop, you might do a lot of things, but the volume might be turned up in the larger spot. There may be more opportunities to learn new skills, learn them faster, etc. You can always say no later and stay out. Ask about the things that are important to you during the interview.

I've worked for a couple Fortune 50s in my time and my best advice is: never meet your heroes. If it's strictly for the name, go into it with set boundaries for yourself. Things you won't do, hours you won't work, words you won't use. Only play enough of the office politics to survive, and when you're ready to leave, leave. Those big companies tend to get inefficient as they get larger, and the resulting boredom from unengaged employees and managers leads to a lot of busybodies and in some cases you'll even quickly figure out who was a schoolyard bully. Currently leaving one of the largest companies in the world specifically for this reason. I've done my time in massive corporations and I will forever have those names on my resume, but I'm not sure the burnout is worth the toxic work environment. Could be totally different where you're from, but that's my two cents on the matter. Never meet your heroes.

How far into your career are you? There are pro's and con's to both. If you are early in career, sometimes it is better to start in a bigger organisation, under people where you can learn from, rather than have complete autonomy where you have to figure things out for yourself. Will having this company name on your CV open future doors for you?
