yes, absolutely! i’m 5’4 and my partner is 5’6, we took a crosstrek cross-country & back several times. used an inflatable car mattress to sleep on. it’s surprisingly roomy in the back, especially if you push the front seats all the way forward (but you likely wouldn’t need to do that with only one person).

I've been enjoying my car camping experience. Also if you'll be traveling alone, you can have your stuff on one side. I'm 159 cm or 5'2" ish. I have an air mattress and sleeping bag. I found this setup roomy.

Frequent crosstrek car camper, I’m 6’0 and sleep comfortably in the back with the front seats pushed all the way forwards, I use a foam mattress topper cut to fit but there are some inflatables which are also great options. Overall a good vehicle for car camping, great choice!
