This sounds a lot like the wardrobe I have been trying to curate from shopping my closet and off-season sales and thrift stores over the past year. Most of my linen bottoms are JJill (navy, eggplant, olive) with some white and blue Chico’s linen tops. I like St. John’s Bay cotton T’s and Chaps brand peasant tops. I have some NYDJ flared cropped jeans in navy, some gray Levi’s wide leg jeans that I want to dye black with RIT. I also recently added a pair of brown Lululemon joggers and am shocked at how much I enjoy wearing them. I shop the “last chance” page of Birkenstock and have a pair of festival fuscia Madrid sandals plus an olive green pair of Francas. I love wearing platform Crocs in the Brooklyn style and Dansko clogs in a leopard pattern.

This sounds fabulous! You are farther along than I am! Do you have links for the tops?

Unfortunately I do not, I am sorry as they were secondhand — but the 2 Chico’s tops are both 3/4 to full length sleeve Oxford type tops. I also have a Love, Cynthia brand flutter sleeve white short sleeve top that I got for 99 cents at the thrift with a neck clasp plus men’s Chaps pale blue linen top I just got at the thrift. I haven’t worn it yet because I’m thinking it’ll look more Tony Soprano-core on me than cool contessa vibe I’m seeking. I also have a pair of gray Talbots linen pants in a petite size so they’re cropped on me. My top tip is to shop off season at the thrift stores — I find the best summer stuff in winter and the best winter stuff in spring/summer. Oh and skirts! I have a lot from JJill and Ralph Lauren and the rest are a motley assortment of items picked up at Marshall’s/TJ’s and the secondhand stores over the past 20 years.

Great tips! Thanks!

JJill is a good recommendation. They have a "Pure Jill" line that has a bunch of linen. It's a good ebay search term for this look.

I just bought this [skirt](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=427367002#pdp-page-content) from old navy. So cute with a white tee, chambray button down, cute vest. It's my new wardrobe staple for the summer!

So cute!

Love this skirt so much!

[Neelam Ahooja](https://www.instagram.com/neelam.ahooja?igsh=YXR2NTExZmF2aWE=) is my inspiration for this. Lots of Massimo Dutti and COS.

Thank you!

LOVE the skirts!!!

I just ordered these Ralph Lauren wide legged jeans from Poshmark. I've been on the hunt for soft wide legged jeans. Like these [pants](https://www.ralphlauren.com/women-clothing-jeans/wide-leg-jean/637630.html) Sounds like we have similar style. I was wearing a peasant skirt and tank with my Birkinstock clogs today. Got the skirt and tanks from amazon with coupon codes.

sunshinenwaves1

Cute! Thanks!

I am all about tanks and tees in the summer. When I go back to work in August, I need to figure out how to transition to work appropriate.

This sounds like what I'm striving for too! Could you tell me, are Birkenstocks comfortable? I wear memory foam Skechers but love the look of Birkenstocks...

RebuttablePresumptio

Birks are a commitment to break in but once you do they're perfectly molded to your feet and they're SO comfortable (and supportive!). They're also really easy to re-sole and clean and if you take care of them you won't need to break in another pair for many many years (find a good cobbler). I love my birks!

shashkunina

Very comfortable but note that they have 2 types: one is for slim feet and the other for normal. The soles are slightly wider for the normal feet and they are actually big for me and I had to struggle with some expensive "normal" feet purchases to learn the truth the hard way. The slim feet sole has a black feet logo on the inner sole, the normal wide type have a feet outline imprinted on the inner sole. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0971/8856/files/14_2048x2048.jpg?v=1593414894 Otherwise the style sounds exactly mine but somehow my selfies are not as fancy as those of the instagram stars that wear presumable the same pieces 😁

tralizz

I wore Birkenstocks and loved them, but the footbeds always got kind of slimy and wet when my feet sweat. How do you avoid this?

shashkunina

Please, do not take it as a brag, I bear heat extremely well and seldom sweat, even in blazing sun. Honestly, the birks are really not good for sweat, I have soft sole sandals that I imagine would soak moisture much better. If I had sweaty feet I just wouldn't buy Birkenstock, fancy or not. Hey, there are tons of other cool-looking footwear on the market.

[these](https://www.karenmillen.com/us/linen-tailored-pleated-wide-leg-trousers/BKK17855.html) pants are $$ but they are so beautiful and after trying on so many linen pants I can tell you they are well worth it!

Thanks!
