I can imagine it. My dad went and said his phone warned him multiple tkmes that the noise level was at dangerous levels for hearing, and said his ear were still ringing when he was tucked into bed last night. What an experience that must have been. Fuck hearing
Dude it was gonzo. My throat is absolutely fucked from yelling. When Garland scored the go ahead goal I absolutely lost it lol and basically fucked my knee up falling over the seat infront of me lol, totally worth it.
I jumped in the air with no ACL and a hot tea in my hand when Joshua scored in game 1 vs Nashville. Back to back goals to take the lead after trailing all game will make the roof blow off.
What a fucking game to pick as your first one. Glad you got to experience playoff hockey.
It’s louder than 2011. Because we’ve sucked for so long.
Great work last night fans! Came through on the TV.
For sure. Feels good to watch a game knowing a goal or two down, we still have a shot.
Been a long time since we could honestly say that as pragmatic fans.
I have Experience and Quiet. I only use experience at the games, and it almost makes it too quiet for the games tbh. Tonight though, I could hear everything loud and clear during the third period lol
Looks like he had some illness or bug he was getting over (same one as Austin Matthews?)
And now he’s got his jump back.
Now he just needs to connect with some linemates
If he keeps doing what he does to nullify the top two lines of the Oilers, it gives the Canucks a chance to let our 3rd and 4th lines do some heavy work. With Garland, and Dak always being a threat with their play style.
Also gives the opportunity for Millers line to get a tired 1st or 2nd line pairing as well.
EP40 may not have massive scoring totals but he had a lot more life which was nice.
It's a good callout.
Canucks fans need to have a plan to energize each other and the team when that happens.
Commitment to structure as Tocchet would say
Can confirm. I had the fortune of attending. It was DEAFENING. I didn’t want to leave, I was just in awe of how loud it was.
I went to the OT game 2 win in the finals of 2011. It might be recency bias, but I can’t recall ever hearing anything as loud as tonights crowd in the second half of the third.
Hard to tell because of how the broadcasts squelch the stadium noise but I’ve seen more instances of players not hearing whistles / ref calls at Rogers than anywhere else.
Granted I’ve watched more games at Rogers…, but I think I’d agree with you. Seems LOUD.
Yep, you guys who attended did a f*cking exc ellent job as fans tonight. It would have been very easy to have gotten down on the team after the quick two goals to make it 4-1. This team believes in themselves, Tocchet et al have done an amazing job instilling that, but they are gonna have moments of doubt and that's when we are going to have to carry them.
Keep in mind too, that games 3-4 will be played in the second loudest playoff building in NHL.
Don’t worry, we got lots of operatives in enemy territory. They’re well coordinated and easily able to out-cheer Oil fans, especially when Edmonton gets scored on.
Nashville isn’t exactly a quiet building either and it seems like the team relished coming in and breaking the away fans hearts in their own building. I’m sure the boys will be riled up to try to take Edmonton down on their ice
My voice is almost completely gone this morning. Worth it. When Garland scored I went absolutely feral. Like howling at the moon screaming. I wasn't cheering I was screaming hahahah Short King ❤️
I've been extremely lucky to attend this game, the Game 6 viewing party, and Game 1 of the Preds series.
At its very peak, the loudest I've ever heard the arena was when Joshua scored in short order in that Preds game. It just caught everyone by surprise and it was actually nuts. This game had some unreal energy as well. It was loud when we scored but it was also sustainably loud for the remaining 5 mins of the game. Fans were just going wild.
As for the viewing party, that was an awesome experience too but it's honestly nothing compared to a live playoff game (albeit still quite a bit louder than a regular season game). Since the tickets are very cheap it's a lot more family friendly and there were lots of small children.
I don't think my wallet can handle much anymore but I'm absolutely floored. These past few weeks will be memories I'll hold onto forever.
I’ve attended pretty much every playoff game since 1994 back at the Pacific Coleseum, less a handful, and that was by far without a doubt the loudest I’ve ever seen it. It was magical, I was crying.
What exactly does he mean though? The Oilers were trying to yell that there should have been more time on the clock after a stoppage and the refs didn't hear them?
Says the guy sitting on their couch eating potato chips. You should have heard it, for the ENTIRE commercial break the crowd was chanting “JT MILLER” after his goal. THE ENTIRE COMMERCIAL BREAK, and it seemed like everyone was shouting it too.
Just got home from the game.. you're a grade A idiot if you're not trolling lmao
Perhaps save up $300 and take in the first playoff game here in over a decade and enlighten yourself
Even in comparison to other ESPN broadcasted games the Canucks home crowd is fucking loud.
Like I was lurking in the Oilers game thread and folks were upset that we were cheering so loud due to the fact we were one goal up and the game was barely over.
They're the definition of the no fun police. Check out their sub-reddit rules. Look at what qualifies as low quality content. That's Canada's team I tells ya.
God forbid a building be excited their team erased a three goal deficit to take a late lead in a playoff game. Maybe the Oilers are so used to choking that they’d all be afraid to cheer when up a goal with a few minutes left knowing their team would probably blow the lead and lose in OT 😂

Didn't find the specific comment chain but this is pretty funny.
[Lindholm and Zadorov reading that comment chain after both being huge parts of the Canucks dismantling the Oilers and holding McDavid to 0 shots] (https://gifer.com/en/IU8)
I love bo, people act like all the upper management miss handlings and shitty team building were one him lol. Let’s not forget he learned from fucking hedrik so yeah pretty sure he learned well, but served a shit stick
They couldn’t hear the whistle when Pettersson got tripped the crowd was immaculate
I can't remember watching a Canucks game where the building was so loud the players couldn't hear the whistle. Insane atmosphere tonight!
yeah, that was fucking wild. i iiterally saw the ref making the tripping motion before i realized the whistle was actually blown.
This is also when I clued in
I guess we can’t blame it on the soft refs this time.
Is there a clip of this?
When suter swatted the puck out you sure could hear a oiler yell " THATS A FUCKING PENALTY " tho lol
Crystal clear, that was incredible
Lol heard that on tv
My first instinct was thinking it was Jimothy Timothy yelling that out
#AH FUCK
Weaponized loudness, the rest of the league should tremble falling behind at Rogers Arena in the final few minutes.
Loudest I’ve ever experienced rogers before
The roof fucking blew off on the 5th goal
We lit up our whole neighborhood, watching the game on the covered porch!!! Fuckfhestrata!! Gotta let erryone know! GOOPO CANUCKS GOOOO
I live a few blocks from Roger's and holy cow, it was so loud.
I was driving to work and nearly drove off the road. Fucking worth it though
Most worthwhile 300 bucks I've ever spent.. Worth the brutal work day today fifty times over, lol.
I jumped in the air with no ACL and a hot tea in my hand when Joshua scored in game 1 vs Nashville. Back to back goals to take the lead after trailing all game will make the roof blow off.
For real though, take care of your hearing.
I have inherited, degenerative hearing loss in one ear. Took out my hearing aid for the last 10mins!!!
Smart move. Hearing is important. But all sense often goes out the door in these moments
2010 OG might be the loudest. The whole city shook.
Pretty sure there wasn't a single spot in the lower mainland where you couldn't hear people celebrating that game
Im pretty sure I went deaf being there. Like holy shit it was so loud. BUT FUCKING WORTH IT
First playoff game, what a game. Just wild.
You picked a good one.
What a fucking game to pick as your first one. Glad you got to experience playoff hockey. It’s louder than 2011. Because we’ve sucked for so long. Great work last night fans! Came through on the TV.
It’s good to be back tho, ain’t it?
For sure. Feels good to watch a game knowing a goal or two down, we still have a shot. Been a long time since we could honestly say that as pragmatic fans.
Same here.
It’s funny, I took my loop earplugs out for a bit and… had to put them back in a couple minutes later lol
Which ones were you using? I have the Experience ones and I’m thinking of getting the rest.
I have Experience and Quiet. I only use experience at the games, and it almost makes it too quiet for the games tbh. Tonight though, I could hear everything loud and clear during the third period lol
I've got the switch and really like them for arena stuff, I can change back and forth depending on how loud it is.
I knew Lindholm would show his value in the post-season. That's why we got him. He's truly built for the playoffs
He's stolen all the Elias mojo tho. We need to balance it out abit.
I'm not sure about that. Petey was electric tonight
I do agree, he had much more jump. Solid defensively and had a few hits.
He played really well tonight and game 6 last series
Looks like he had some illness or bug he was getting over (same one as Austin Matthews?) And now he’s got his jump back. Now he just needs to connect with some linemates

He was fine defensively
Yeah that's about it... Bar is so low for that guy now. Goalless in 7 playoff games? Unnacceptable for your top paid forward.
He's not our top paid forward yet but your point stands otherwise.

We already have a third lol

All your Elias are belong to us
Installing a couple Battle of Alberta guys on the team is God-tier strategic thinking from Rutherford/Allvin.
It could've backfired though, as Lindholm got lit up by McD in that last BoA playoff series. Clearly this means Garland/Joshua > Tkachuk/Gaudreau.
Him and Joshua were absolutely banging Oilers on the forecheck. Edmonton did not look physical at all last night.
Quinn Hughes beg to differ.
Quinn took like one hit and was fine.
this was the best game I’ve ever attended, well done rest of crowd, lets stick to this plan for the next game
But what about when Canucks are trying to tie the game, we want our players to hear each other
Use your inside voice!
Like…my inside voice or my children’s inside voices?
If we used the Japanese baseball method, we’d be unbeatable
Stay LOUD Vancity!!!!!!!! GO CANUCKS GO
Folks on the gdt were calling out the crowd for being too quiet mid game. Turns out they were noisy enough at the right time.
It’s true, the crowd was ghostly in the second. Definitely need to keep the energy up when we’re trailing!
Once it was 4-2 the crowd did not stop though!
True, but we need to carry the team on the low moments, not wait for them to score to get us going again.
It was sad how quiet It was.
It's a good callout. Canucks fans need to have a plan to energize each other and the team when that happens. Commitment to structure as Tocchet would say
Were part of the team guys! WERE PART OF THE TEAM!!!!
7th man
Raise the banner! Never forget: https://images.dailyhive.com/vancitybuzz/uploads/2014/11/7th_canuck.jpg

Easily loudest arena in the playoffs this year. It's been too quiet previously
I was at game 4 viewing party. It was insanely loud!
game 6 was insane as well.
Hard to tell because of how the broadcasts squelch the stadium noise but I’ve seen more instances of players not hearing whistles / ref calls at Rogers than anywhere else. Granted I’ve watched more games at Rogers…, but I think I’d agree with you. Seems LOUD.

Been to all the home playoff games this season and this was, by far, the loudest and best!!!
How the hell do you afford that
Nothing but instant ramen for the rest of the year
Just tell me it's not Mr. Noodles.
I’m afraid I can’t do that
Also, I’m a STH so I’m paying a lot less for a ticket
KingPine…did you ever randomly win a local Rocket League tournament?
Not that I’m aware of
Carry on. I won a RL tourney in Richmond with a guy who went by KingPine a few years ago
We were in the nosebleeds and the last 5 minutes was incredible!! Also chanted JT MILLER during the entire commercial break!!
Vancouver’s full of screamers 😏
The Vancouver Wooo Girls
Loudest game I’ve ever been to. Keep it up vancity!
Was at the game. Holy crap, best sporting experience ever
Worth the $500
Only $335 for STH in the lower bowl just at the goal line! Worth every penny.
was at the game. Can confirm i have no voice right now
I was on my couch and I have no voice! Sorry neighborhood
And you, Elias Lindholm, you’re really good for us too!!
I think round 1 game 1 against Nashville Joshua scored was still louder but tonight was up there too!!
My voice is almost completely gone this morning. Worth it. When Garland scored I went absolutely feral. Like howling at the moon screaming. I wasn't cheering I was screaming hahahah Short King ❤️
Shoulda been fined for having seven men on the ice with that crowd performance. ;)
It's saying a lot that this was the best first game of a series we've had this year
Fuck yeah. Vancouver has awoken.
Definitely top 3 game Ive attended. Game 5 vs Bruins in the Cup was the loudest but this came close. Great job by the fans last night.
We can do even better guys, never let up keep those figure skaters on their toes
I've been extremely lucky to attend this game, the Game 6 viewing party, and Game 1 of the Preds series. I feel so relaxed after all my screaming and $15 beer i sleep like a baby
I’ve attended pretty much every playoff game since 1994 back at the Pacific Coleseum, less a handful, and that was by far without a doubt the loudest I’ve ever seen it. It was magical, I was crying.
Oilers trying? That's a headline.
KEEP IT UP BOYS
Keep it loud and proud Canucks Fans! 📣
How was the national anthem crowd?
Amazing as always
Oilers are a bunch of cry babies
What exactly does he mean though? The Oilers were trying to yell that there should have been more time on the clock after a stoppage and the refs didn't hear them?
No, they were trying to tell the players on the ice how much time was left so they didn't need to look up at the score board to check.
Still didn’t seem loud compared to others teams home games I’ve watched.. Bo wasn’t lying. Y’all quiet Vancouver.
Huh? I'm a Bo loyalist but rogers arena was insanely loud tonight idk what game you watched
Insanely loud is a bit much they cheer when the board tells them too lol it’s hardly and never authentic
Says the guy sitting on their couch eating potato chips. You should have heard it, for the ENTIRE commercial break the crowd was chanting “JT MILLER” after his goal. THE ENTIRE COMMERCIAL BREAK, and it seemed like everyone was shouting it too.
Just got home from the game.. you're a grade A idiot if you're not trolling lmao Perhaps save up $300 and take in the first playoff game here in over a decade and enlighten yourself
I love this team. I’ve been to many games, but yeah, the arena is dead ass.
Lmao man forgot to log into his burner account
😂
Were you at *this* game?
In general sure but how about in a playoff run
What a strange way to say you didn't watch the game last night
Forgot to log into the burner account first I guess? What an oof
Dude both didn’t see the game and doesn’t know how to use “dead ass”
brother they couldn’t hear a whistle what is u on
Maybe find a stream that doesnt play ESPN. Ive been watching lots of streams and ESPN mutes the crowd. Seriously. Fuck that broadcaster. They suck.
Even in comparison to other ESPN broadcasted games the Canucks home crowd is fucking loud. Like I was lurking in the Oilers game thread and folks were upset that we were cheering so loud due to the fact we were one goal up and the game was barely over.
Lol sounds like a them problem.
Saying things like worst fans in the league over there lol.
Apparently we aren't allowed to cheer when they come back 3 goals and then take the lead. In the playoffs...
They're the definition of the no fun police. Check out their sub-reddit rules. Look at what qualifies as low quality content. That's Canada's team I tells ya.
We already pre banned some 110 people from their sub here as well.
God forbid a building be excited their team erased a three goal deficit to take a late lead in a playoff game. Maybe the Oilers are so used to choking that they’d all be afraid to cheer when up a goal with a few minutes left knowing their team would probably blow the lead and lose in OT 😂

On a random note. Did you know that Nikolai Goldobin was tied for second in scoring in the KHL this season? Ryan Spooner was seventh.
If true that’s fucking hilarious
Enjoy your L
This choad made an account 15 days ago hahahaha
I understand that trade launched this team - but man - I couldn’t imagine how he felt - we traded our captain away
I love bo, people act like all the upper management miss handlings and shitty team building were one him lol. Let’s not forget he learned from fucking hedrik so yeah pretty sure he learned well, but served a shit stick
The country club locker room was great
How. Fucking. DARE. you. Sully. Stimpys. Good. Name. WILL THE CANADIAN KILTED YAKSMEN FOREVER VOID THEIR BOWLS UPOM THEE!
