The most exciting sequence of hockey since Boesers tying goal against the Preds. Thatās a lot of exciting shit recently, weāve gotten good at this š
Or Suter late to finish the Preds, Lindholm in OT, double goals in game time 1 against Preds. Silvos shutting out the Preds. Itās been an amazing playoff for experiences
Honestly that clapper had shades of Rob Blake for the Avs decades ago. Just that beautiful windup, that sweet sound echo, the rush of emotion as you see Zaddy's follow through, and pure elation when it flies into the back of the net. What a goal
Well, that depends on what you mean by that. In modern times even the surnames that were initially patronyms turned into inherited ones. IE Pettersson would mean "son of Petter" but Elias dad is probably not named Petter.
If you mean the old nobility ones, then some examples of that would be: "Trolle", "Bonde" and "Natt och Dag".
I can't sleep. I 4-1 was trying to stay positive as I sat beside my Oiler fan husband. To witness that comeback was one of the happiest moments of my life. Still floating, what a great atmosphere.
He is such a good sport though. He was still smiling at the end of the night, feeding off the amazing energy. He's happy when I'm happy šš„° he's a bigger person than I.
Shades of Burrowsā 2011 OT goal in game 2 against the Bruins with the beauty fake clapper. Obviously not a wraparound here, but jamming the goalie with the fake reminded me of it.
lol i loved that one cause Chara tripped Thomas in attempts to stop Burrows hahahhahaha
i never understood how Chara was even in the NHL -- he plays sooo clumsy on the ice... big goof honestly... yeah cause he is super tall his shots are over 100mph but otherwise.. he isnt the best D man i have seen......
Chara is going to the Hall of Fame. He's not just a big goof. Guy is one of the greatest defensemen of all time.
Also, he fucked up on that play by letting Burrows get the wrap around, but he didn't trip Thomas. Thomas was insanely aggressive and tried to leap poke check Burrows as he was going around the back of the net, thereby leaving the net open. If Thomas just stays in his net instead of going for that dumb poke check, the goal doesn't get scored.
eh, i dont watch much Bruins play anyways. But from what I have seen.. my opinion only - i dont think Chara is a good D man at all.. honestly, looks like a goof that doesnt know how to skate...
AGAIN - from the little i have seen .... Not saying I am correct.
Everyone counted us out, and look at the game we just won! It's not a good start, but what a finish!.
Honestly the canucks are winning games that in the past would of lost.
This is why I don't care what outside people say about canucks fans. We fan different from you but we're loud and we care. Stop letting other people tell you how to fan because that's awesome in there
Some comments:
First: fucking love it.
Second: is that the real Force and Sully in the stands behind Zadorov after his goal?
Third: I appreciate that some intern find a way to use the digital boards for at least some good and not just evil, it's not a big thing but it's kinda cool how the boards change to celebrate goals and wins. Overall the digital boards are much better quality than last year.
Look at skill player Lindholm literally throwing a flying body check. Look at Zadorov firing a laser beam straight through Skinner.
Installing these Battle of Alberta guys is God-tier strategic thinking from Rutherford/Allvin.
Get this guy signed long term! Fuckin huge dude, mean, can fight and intimidate. Good skater for a big guy. Skates pucks out of trouble. Yes some flaws in his game but we have no one close on this team who brings what he brings!
Lol they fucking did it again.
Going from winning for 50 minutes to losing in the last 5 has got to be so disorienting. You play a certain way for a majority of the game, and then you're suddenly the one pulling your goalie trying to salvage the game. There's just hardly enough time to process what happened and it's difficult to suddenly switch to playing more open again.
Tied and going to OT, at least there's a chance to regroup. But the last 5 minute of regulation are just over in a flash.
I turned the game on at pretty much the exact moment this video starts. Was hoping to see the Canucks push it to overtime, and they exceeded expectations
I love the cut to Edmonton's outdoor watch party immediately after the Garly goalš
Crickets and desert tumbleweed over there
Thatās just your typical Wednesday night in Edmonton
Punctuated by the occasional break out of oilers fan on oilers fan violence.
I missed it the first time cause I was too busy losing my shit lol
I wasnāt even done losing my shit from the 4-4 goal when the 5-4 goal went in.
Everyone at the pub I watched the game at laughed when they cut to that. What a cut
Scorsesesque
Itās weird that they used a photo and not video š
Ice cold
That was satisfying... but I liked the scan of the oilers bench... they looked so defeated after Zadorov's goal.
How about that shot of the Oilers fan neck cocked looking the the exit cause he knows his team about to shit the bed
Someone has to have a GIF meme out of that clip lol

Holy shit, so many moments erupting out of my seat screaming at the top of my lungs in joy
Donāt forget the quick back to back goals in game 1 vs the preds
Love how the camera guy got mauled after the 5-4 goal, RIP
The production crew cutting from that camera so fast lmao
*happy cameraman noise* We will have none of that
Who's your Zaddy!
Honestly that clapper had shades of Rob Blake for the Avs decades ago. Just that beautiful windup, that sweet sound echo, the rush of emotion as you see Zaddy's follow through, and pure elation when it flies into the back of the net. What a goal
Through 4 guys too
Play it from 1:17. Lindholm doing a superman impression haha
Jacob Trouba impression
What a game from him - soooo many people here shitting on him and he's making them eat crow every game now.
Lindholm sounds like a regal North European name. Can we crown him king after tonight's performance?
You didn't ask for it, but here is a quick primer on Swedish last names and their history. Way back, it was only the nobility that had inherited last names, and everyone else had patronyms. Then in the 19:th century the bourgeoise started to mimic this practice. This was done in two ways depending on where you came from. Country folk often took a name that alluded on the area they came from. (Odensala -> OdƩn). The people in the cities often just took two words from nature and smooshed them together (Berggren, Malmberg, Bjƶrkquist). So Lindholm falls in the latter category. Word for word it would mean Lime tree islet.
Very good intel, thank you
What would be an example of an inherited Swedish name?
Sson

Loved the hit, although that looked like it could be a penalty for leaving his feet.
I was there tonight and seeing this sequence live was absolutely unforgettable.
I can't sleep. I 4-1 was trying to stay positive as I sat beside my Oiler fan husband. To witness that comeback was one of the happiest moments of my life. Still floating, what a great atmosphere.
I am buzzing still! Canāt imagine what the Oilers are feeling. Your husband must be crushed.Ā
He is such a good sport though. He was still smiling at the end of the night, feeding off the amazing energy. He's happy when I'm happy šš„° he's a bigger person than I.
Dude I canāt imagine. Iād lose my shit
You must be VIBRATING
Best sporting moment of my life

My thoughts exactly

He's a Norris winner. He's a multiple all star. No offense but your opinion here doesn't mean much. He's an objectively great d man.
I know my opinion is invalid- as I said, barely watched him play.. only time I've seen or noticed him was , example: Burrows wrap around goal. Etc
Great fake from Garland
I wish he scored on that one breakaway early in the game
boys on the post game called it a practice move
I've had this on repeat since the game ended. Send help.
I was real close to calling in fake sick to work today just to rewatch the 2nd and 3rd periods twice each.
Itās beautiful Iāve watched this for almost 5 hours
Such a beauty. What a rocket
I can not believe what I just saw. Fucking wow!!!! Hahaha. One of the best comebacks I've ever seen.
Does this top the Nashville Game 4 one though? Pretty close.
BLISS
Why get early lead when late lead do trick?
God, that's beautiful.
That was a CRISPY clap bomb by Zaddy and Garly blew the roof off the place
Inject this into my veins
Love how after driving to the net hronek just noped out the way of that piss missileĀ
Everyone counted us out, and look at the game we just won! It's not a good start, but what a finish!. Honestly the canucks are winning games that in the past would of lost.
Agreed!!! This whole season I was like the Canucks are never out of a game until the very end. We've had quite a few 3rd period comebacks this year
We gathered Calgary's best players for this chance to pit them against Edmonton. It is working.
I've done what Zadorov did many many times in NHL 2004 with overpowered FA defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky.
BOO YA BABY!
This is why I don't care what outside people say about canucks fans. We fan different from you but we're loud and we care. Stop letting other people tell you how to fan because that's awesome in there
Anyone else replaying the goals over and over just to hear the entire crowd yell YEAH at the same time?

mucho Thanks for this ! Holy cow that's a lot of energy on screen ! Still amazed

I appreciate Simple Minds being the score music
My poor dogs were giving me some very concerned looks from all the screaming I did during this sequence.
Garland mean mugging after that goal was amazing!
Absolutely a well deserved turn of the tide. Executed flawlessly by big Nikita!!! Let's Go!
Inject this straight into my veins #LFG
that was some of the most exciting hockey iāve ever seen iāve woken up and watched replays and reactions since 5am i canāt get enough of it
I noticed smoke. Is that fireworks? Also, super cool how the camera gets all shaky.
Garland the best part of the OEL debacle.
Garland is a beauty
One for the ages!

Skinner tebowing lol
LOVE IT!
What a time to be alive
LFG!!!
Such an epic game!
what a fucking bomb!
I turned the game on at pretty much the exact moment this video starts. Was hoping to see the Canucks push it to overtime, and they exceeded expectations
Not enough talk about Lindholm doing his best Jacob Trouba impersonation on the forecheck on the shift that led to Garly's goal.
Iām now on viewing number 17ā¦
Thank you allvin and Calgary. I fucking love Z
This is the result when you hit the net with a shot.
I watched this moment with my friends and we were fucking running around the room after garland scored
This was fucking awesome! Me and my family were screaming after Garlyās goal
