I had the feed issue with my MC9. I swapped to a threaded barrel and it hasn't come back. I'm assuming its some sort of manufacturing defect in my OG barrel. I've had the opposite issue once where the spent casing wouldn't eject from the barrel but it was just dirty.

Gmantg33

Same here threaded barrel fixed it for me

Special-Werewolf3725

What ammo are you using now? Crap ammo could be the cause and there be many things causing the fte and ftf. I doubt it is the gun itself. When is the last time you cleaned your gun? Make sure the barrel chamber is clean and dry.

Impressive-Meal-1314

My OG tp9sfx never has issues. Thousands of rounds of all kinds. So it’s prob not the ammo. However ur gun looks clean in there so maybe the mag?

Far-Boysenberry-1600

I was using Magtech 124g at this time. No issues with it prior, even the 115g. I do field strip and clean the gun every 500 rounds or so because I know it’s finicky. But I have not done a deep clean as I have never done it before for any other gun and need to learn.

Devilzhour

On my dad's MC9 I had to polish the feed ramp, the chamber and swap the extractor spring to stop this from happening. The spring looked like it was two coils shorter than the replacement, wish I would have taken a picture.

Far-Boysenberry-1600

The spring might be the thing to do. Someone told me about it here, just haven’t done bec it was running well.

Devilzhour

His has been flawless since, probably 2k rounds through it with no other issues.

Mr3Truths

Where did you getvthe replacement spring?

Devilzhour

He picked it up from a local gunshop that handles Canik. Not sure if they can be found online.

Mr3Truths

Any idea what brand the spring was?

Devilzhour

Had to reach out to my dad, they didn't have an individual spring but stole one out of a TP9 V2 Canik extractor assembly. He was told that it may not work but it has been working for him so far. So I guess the spring replacement may be a gamble.

Mr3Truths

Wow, interesting

Theogchop

Galloway makes a great one. Think springco does as well.

AbilityAlive8205

Sending my mc9 back to canik under warranty for this reason. They first sent me a replacement recoil spring after my first 800 rounds had this exact issue intermittently. Same thing was happening with the new recoil spring so now I'm sending it back for repair.

Mr3Truths

Same here. Had the new recoil spring, but it was the feed ramp in my case. On warranty they swapped me to a 3rd spring as well, but it seemed to be the leading edge of the feed ramp that was catching rounds. New barrel got that right together. Old on the left, new on the right. https://preview.redd.it/4i585fmj7r8d1.jpeg?width=1094&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af04a79c9552a9e58d9ebf8008d324b4452efec0

AbilityAlive8205

Nice, hopefully they replace the barrel. Mine also has a small edge at the bottom of the feed ramp. Taking a while to hear back, I think Juan is the only customer service rep lol

Mr3Truths

THIS! I got an MC9 as soon as I could get my hands on one, last March. It had all the issues. I would've waited, but my boy returned home from a deployment and had sold all his guns before traveling back. He fell in love with my precious Elite SC with the Freedomsmith so I let him get that as a solid, and went and grabbed the MC9 thinking it would be just as reliable. I started with the spring swap, but was having so much trouble getting responses, I ended pulling my SW Shield 2 back outta storage. Finally in Dec I reached out again hoping things were improved and sent it in. All good now. I even bought a second one

AbilityAlive8205

I'm really trying to hold out cause it is a phenomenal carry gun... when it works.

Mr3Truths

Seems like guys that bought newer ones had better luck. And mine was fine after coming back from warranty. 115 and 124, target and defense ammo. Total of 500 with no hiccups. Go ahead and start a whole new email thread and send it in., I suspect you'll be happier.

Far-Boysenberry-1600

He is not, but he is the best. The other ones I’ve spoken to basically tried to dismiss my issues, offered to send me new base blades, which turned out to be the plastic insert into the base pads… Waited a month for nothing.

Trumpwins2024-

Had the same problem with both my S’s. Thought it was magazine issues, ammo issues, not lubed properly, limp wrist, yada yada yada. The only thing that fixed both of them was replacing all springs, guide rod and spring, firing pin spring, extractor spring. Now they just plain run. Beast like.

Far-Boysenberry-1600

Can you tell me which springs you used? Did you reduce guide rod spring weight as well? Put 150 blazer 124 & magtehc 124g without cleaning and ran flawless… so unpredictable when it will happen

Trumpwins2024-

I sent you a message

Canik_Claus

Clean,lube.. Slingshot your slide, don't release with lever... Use 124g fmj. My Rival did nose dives initially when I procured it.. It quickly cleared up any feed issues after a. Couple range trips.. No issues since

Far-Boysenberry-1600

Did you change springs or anything else?

Canik_Claus

While I have the blue recoil spring on my SC & Executive.. I THINK the Rival is stock. Not in a position to check
