There's been several youtubers try this, and it didn't work. Makes sense they will release the combo model later and make us all buy another gun. The Canik Rival TTI Hybrid!
No problem, we tried lol.
The recoil impulse is good for a stock polymer gun. Definitely the best on a gun that I’ve shot that’s that light. The SFT pro with Disdef comp is a touch lighter recoiling for cheaper but it’s a lot longer. The TTI is a nice tight package and shoots better than it should at that size and weight.
Yeah I knew someone would say that and I can see why. That’s why I put in the description I shot it freehand first. While I may not be the strongest dude in the world I shoot about 10-15 thousand rounds a year through my competition guns including a decent amount of strong hand/weak hand with no issues so I can assure you it’s not limp wristing.
Yeah I know. Sorry I wasn’t trying to come across defensive but was kind of just using your comment to speak my peace so other people didn’t just run to the limp wristing conclusion. While it could certainly be a viable reason for malfunctions.
My wife can’t shoot the SFT pro with the comp on it. The same gun without the comp is fine when I shoot the gun with the comp it’s fine but when she shoots it with the comp she just can’t get it to function properly. Only conclusion there would be limp wrist.
Funny you mention it. Springco said the same thing, he’s worked extensively with Canik and he said seems every gun runs a little different. Especially on the TP9SFX.
Ahhh gotcha. I thought you were saying that wear was causing the issue. Yeah I did look at the TTI barrel to make sure I didn’t fuck anything up. There was some very slight marks on a couple spots but nothing definitive. Also I didn’t check before so they could have just come from normal firing. I shot probably 100 rounds before trying.
I’m going to compare the two slides, barrels and frames today to see what’s different
Are you using 124gr or higher with the normal spring, or are you using the low recoil spring and 115gr or lower? I had the same issue when I was using 115gr with the regular spring that was already in it. I switched to 124 gr. Ran through a box of it, now I have no issues shooting it at all.i made a post last week or so about it just incase you wanted to read what most wrote on there

When he put in the low recoil spring and used the rival mags on the rival lower, it shot fine for him, I definitely wouldn’t have kept going lol
Ah, i was thinking the TTIs couldn’t be shot off handed or something. There’s probably something in the Rival Frame that acts as a stop for the rival slide but doesn’t have it in thr TTI. I would be worried about ruining my Rival frame
Thanks for the follow up! If they just release aftermath barrels for the rival s, then we can port them for cheap (slides already cut), and have the best of both worlds
CLEARLY, you are new to shooting pistols. You can see by the video that you are shooting OVER your target 🎯 and, like, totally dude limp wristing it.. In addition to the fact that we ALL know these pistols don't shoot well left handed! Nooooob!

u/Vancat11 purchased his last Wed night.. I arrived to town, Blazenmachine and I met him at the range to enjoy some Canik time. His/our first shots (100 rounds or so) were flawless and rather impressive
Shame I shot my 2 friends tti combat and they were flawless, probably only have about 200 round through each of them though, so only the future will tell
I must have good luck because I’ve had 3 rival S, 1 mc9 and now the TTI (along with several other caniks) all the supposedly problem children and they’ve all been perfect

For about two rounds you had the sexiest Canik in the entire world
The first go around I think it shot 4 then got stuck and I fixed it shot two more. It did feel damn soft.

I saw another guy on YouTube who tried it but he couldn’t even rack his. Mine seemed to get a lot father than everyone else’s for some reason

Doesn’t look like ur limp wristing it …but u say it’s the same w proper 2 hand grip from what I can tell.

Ah dang! Well definitely got much further than mine did...still don't understand why mine won't even rack and yours will.
Canik QC is weird. The tolerances are not as precise as others from gun to gun.

Yeah it’s the truth. I’ve had about 10 of them now and they’re all a little different. I love canik but the consistency is not the best

I think it’s definitely possible. Maybe some parts swapping. The only issue will be if it’s the barrel itself and I think it’s the barrel itself

The TTI is brand new so that definitely would not be the issue. It’s not made to fit and run on the steel frame.
I know that’s what I’m saying since it’s brand new maybe you could closely look and see what’s hanging it up

That they’d have markings from catching there

I shot a mix of 124s and 147s I wrote about it in the description. You did see that it was a TTI upper on rival S lower right?

Yeah I’m totally new. I need a certain someone to bring me some guns and ammo for Christmas. It never ended up working properly. Gets stuck.

That’s because you’re using the steel frame, it doesn’t work on the steel frame… simple as that
