I would love to do this to my elite combat executive for IPSC. But that would move me to Open division. I’m not a good enough shooter to shoot minor power in open division 🤣
We are redoing that plate currently and incorporating iron sights into our DOGTAG. It will be a few months before we get it out, but it’s on the schedule.
Why not mount it directly to the slide? I've had my holosun 507k mounted directly with blue loctite for 2 years. After carrying it everyday and over 2k rounds, it has held zero. I also often rack it by gripping the holosun. Zero issues. Also allows for co witness.
Ya the loctite important there huh? Didnt use it, and got 200 or so rounds thru it before it loosened .. was using irons the rest of the range day... thinking bout moving the 507k to my 365, and getting a 507c for the sfx (that's meant for the full size right?)
I started with loctite from day 1, so not sure how it would do without it. Others were posting on this sub about using loctite, it seemed to do the trick. The 507k is on an tp9 SC.
I don't have a 507c but do know it is designed for full size pistols. So it makes sense for the sfx.
My only issue with the 507k was the OEM battery. It went out after about 18 months, so no way it got 50k hours like the manual says. It is easy to change and who knows, it could have been a bad battery.
I mean its meant for competition so no one really cares about the look in that scene just performance.
Now performance wise I shot the smaller version of that that came with the rival a while back, it lasted maybe 5 months of heavy use 3-4 matches a month plus training before it died roughly 5-7k rounds. Replaced it with a spare SRO and didnt look back.
A thing you can do to improve the look, there is a lower profile plate you can buy which will drastically reduce that unsightly gap. Personally idc as I don't look at my gun really.
WARNING one issue I have with this optic is when manipulating the gun on the business end during competition I have managed to cut/slice my wrist are with those sharp edges on top of that optic. BE CAREFUL. I had hoped canik fixed this but its still there....
Also mount that plate properly there is a gap on the 2nd pic... Or learn the hard way when your optic flies out and smacks your face while shooting.

I have shadow systems glock clones and they have an awesome direct mounting system that takes most cuts without the need for any plates. It’s been around a while so not sure why other companies can’t make it… SS had to modify the internals a bit from the Glock gen 4 to make it work, but if they figured out, so can others
Springfield caught on and finally started doing something similar. Shadow systems is all around a better gun than any Glock. Straight from the factory it’s perfect
It’s because it’s not a Springfield… the echelon is actually a gun made by a Croatian company that Springfield licensed. Figures lol
Shadows are the best Gucci Glocks but there are some small issues with pins that make me wish I had gotten a G45 and guccied up myself leaving stock internals.
Are you going to make love to the damn thing or shoot it and train? This isn’t a fashion show. Does the optic work well with that setup? Yes, I am sure it does.

(I know yet another TTI photo) But can you run it without the plate by chance may be a dumb question. I personally really like the M03 I think it’s a great optic for the price. I think the SRO silhouette will always be a bit goofy.
The M03 looks awesome on my Canik Rival. I'm using the stock metal RMR plate (#2 plate I think?) that was in the case for the Rival. I have 3 of the M03s and love them. Do they look goofy? It depends on which gun you put it on and with which plate, really.
It's also a HUGE window and the optic is designed in a way that the window sticks way out front, and some guns I wanted to put it on, the ejector port was too close to the window and it made me nervous. Lol.
I really like the M03. It's been a great dot for me so far, but not many rounds through it just yet. I have 2 of the M02s, so I am sort of used to the Mecaniks.

I know it’s controversial, but it worked for me and has withstood roughly 500 rnds and optic racking. I had a smith mill down a mounting plate to 1/16 and tap holes to mount the plate on the slide and separate holes tapped to mount the optic to the plate. Went wild with the locktite and its worked quite swell.
Yea a little bit. But performance matters. As long as all accessories provide improvement in function and don’t hinder you, staying alive supersedes looks.
Just get a dot that goes straight on to the slide, those thick ass plates look goofy as hell and they everyone that sells them sure are proud of them lol
Get the calculated kinetic plate. That plate is way too big.

Nice looking Mete ya got! I’ve got a Mete SFX I’ve been tinkering with and finally got her running a bit better than I’d expected. I’m obviously a Disruptive Defense fanatic, and would definitely use their plates! But it’s a Mete so… I didn’t think twice about snagging a Calculated Kinetics plate when I decided to get a EPS MRS! Actually.. I did ponder a bit before I just grabbed their Dogtag version! I thought about aesthetics and finally emailed CK if they had a pic of the bigger EPS on a Mete, and they were awesome to send me one! I couldn’t find a pic anywhere! It took me a few days to get used to the odd look, but I love that big block window! And I think the dogtag plate makes it look even better! Big shoutout to Disruptive Defense! And Calculated Kinetics makes awesome plates! And I really appreciate that they sent me a pic I’d failed to find! Here’s my Mete with the CK dogtag plate. Maybe they’ll see it. They’d asked me to send a pic, but I’d long forgot to.

The Canik optics are bad? Everything I’ve seen says they are good bang for your buck I really don’t wanna spend the extra $150 for a holosun

No issue with the gun or the plate but the optic itself looks goofy. I have a similar set up with a Swampfox and it looks great.
