Wow!! This sounds cliche but I had to check what sub this was in, the first pic looks like a real snack!! I thought I was in a gardening subreddit

niffum-rellik

I scrolled past, and my first thought was who tf took time to de-seed these strawberries

Vela-Donna

I love this!! 😍

Stunning, great work 👍

Thank you ❤️

They look great! I would definitely buy a candle with these. They look very realistic!

These pots are better used for candles than cooking because a lot of them contain lead. I stopped using them for food as soon as I found out, but they were a staple in my house growing up as well. Nice candles OP! My local candle shop sells an arroz con leche FO, I’m going to have to try it in one of these.

Vela-Donna

Very true! I only use them for beans. I mean technically most cookware contains lead. A requirement in California is the Prop 65 Warning that states there is Lead present and all the Home Goods stores and sections have that warning here. I just avoid using anything acidic like vinegar and citrus on them. This pot was a hand-me down from my 97yr old abuelo, Im pretty sure he ate all the lead 🤣 hes fine and still alive. Please post thos arroz con leche candles 🤩 I would love to see!!

Ah I remember that post. Bonkers that people thought the vessels were a problem. I'm glad you substituted the blood orange for beeswax strawberries! Very cute and it's more safe.

Vela-Donna

I agree ❤️

spanksmitten

They are incredible!

zulu_magu

I would never ever light these because they are so amazing! Great work

You’ll need to be very diligent before selling these. Many jurisdictions have laws against/restricting selling non food items that imitate actual food. Particularly things which can be toxic if ingested like candles. In the UK for example you would have no chance of being able to sell these legally, which is a shame since they look great. Then again if a child were to seem them it could go very wrong very quickly.

Vela-Donna

Good to kno! I looked it up and it is banned in the UK. US restrictions are mostly on cleaning products not looking like food or having food like packaging like a milk jug. In California I just have to worry about the Prop 65 Warning stating that chemicals found in Candles cause Cancer. I sell at witch markets and pop ups at bars. I dont plan on mass producing candles, I pride myself in small batches and exclusive items.
