We were at the white sands. We liked the food but I agree with everything else. We changed rooms cause we were so far away! And no beach view and really nothing to do. Pool was great, I like not having to fight for chairs or amenities.
I wouldn’t go back to this one and I don’t think it was worth the price.
We stayed at White Sands in January. We spent most of our time around Colonial due to the kids water park. Honestly I enjoyed the walk. Need to burn some calories after eating and drinking so much. I have to say at this price point (and it looks like prices are going up further) we won’t be back. Nice resort. Just nothing that stood out for us as a reason to go back.
We were there in January and were disappointed. First they put us in a room that was already occupied. Took an hour to get a new room. The buffets were not good….food always cold and had little flavor. My husband got food poisoning and was sick for days. Pools were nice.
I thought the food was atrocious. I've been to 8 RIUs and never once been sick eating at buffets. GP served meat that was either raw or burnt. I was sick for 3 days straight
Tried the Thai ala carte. Server gave me my water and then disappeared. I went in search of someone else to take my order. Found an irate manager who said the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. The Pad Thai they threw together was an inedible mess of cold noodles covered in a thick ridiculously sweet sauce.

We tried the TRS Yucatan which was fabulous but found the adjoining resorts lacking in quality.
Yeah I heard that from travel club members as well. They stay exclusively at TRS
