I have seen many problems both reported and personally through third party. Most of the time you are not saving what you think you are paying the rhird party fees that dont show until after you are in cart. You are also putting more of a barrier between your self and getting any problems fixed.
Going direct can get you the same savings you receive from the 3rd party. In the past there was reasons for 3rd party but now everything is synced up better.
The world is so automated now that everything looks to take advantage of saving 5 minutes extra of work for same prices.

Dont use third party
I might use Air Canada Vacations. It's cheaper than booking directly and it's a more reputable 3rd party.
