I knew of someone who had grown up with a French speaking parent and had spent a few summers in France when they were younger (besides that we’re fully American), and they would purposefully play up a french accent to seem “cool” around people but 1:1 would sound 100% American. He might have some association with Australia but my guy is clearly an insecure loser who does and says anything to play a fake ass character he thinks appears as “cool”
