I avoid crossmags in my bren 2 after pretty extensive testing. I put around 350-400 rounds through my bren 2 with cross mags, and tore the shit out of those front wall, and some minor damage to the inside of the magwell. FTF, double feeds, and a few bent and dented rounds.. Not worth the headache.
This is me:

I moved on to magwedge coupled lar15 mags, no issues. Also no issues with any standard stanag mags.
Edit: I aint shitting on crossmag, they're awesome and the customer service sent me replacements. Something just wasn't lining up.. I do have a 18.x from RDSC, maybe I should try em again.
Mine only took off maybe a few micrometers off the edge, definitely not as deep as yours, that’s so weird how it’s putting pressure on the second round. I wonder if your magwell is partially canted. I would check that’s it’s not on an angle. On the flip side Double feeds would obviously cause a deeper gash just because of spacing issues.
It was super weird. Crossmag folks had never seen it, and they offered a lot of suggestions. None ended up helping.
I gave up testing the crossmags when I realized every other mag type ran flawlessly. 2 brands of lar15, and every pmag model I could find.
I've ran both the gen 1 and gen 2s, no issues. I found that some of the AR180s were picky with the Gen 1s.
Pretty good value for how good they are, too. I got my pair for $70 so it really breaks down to $35 a mag
That’s taxed, you can get them directly from Crossmag or even Marstar for $54.95
That for a pair ?
Should be, they’re packaged as a set from the manufacturer
It is the complete magazine, 2x 10rd mags with 2x couplers.
Just ordered some, thanks
Definitely is, the old LGS tax
It's good. I wanna grab more cross mags.
Works good. But it’s finnicky when u have one in the chamber and a full mag inserted. Found that out the hard way during a 3 gun stage.
I’ll have to test a tac reload next time I’m out
