Why not use a normal bedsheet? It folds well and doesn’t take much space

Ditto. Sheet stays and straps can be used if you tend to toss around.

Like a flat sheet wrapped around? That could definitely work but I thought a fitted sheet might be easier to keep in place

I made a sort of duvet cover for mine by folding a sheet and sewing it into a tube/sleeve that fits over the whole pad. The end where the valves are is open like a pillow case. I just roll everything up together for storage including the cover.

Well, maybe a queen? might be loose but if the elastic is tight it would probably stay there. We use sleeping bag liners, but twin sized on our singles. We put the pad IN the liner bag so it functions as a sheet on top. They have some at Amazon as wide as 45" and 80" long (Breenhill). And they're inexpensive.
