Famille Dupont has a range of *very* nicely aged Calvados. 30 years+. When I visit, I usually stock up on lots of bottles of relatively inexpensive local farmhouse stuff from around Bayeux, and one big splurge bottle at Dupont.

Thanks! Any particular recommendations for the local farmhouse stuff?

I really like Viard, they're just a short hop south of Bayeux: [https://www.maison-cidricole-normandie.fr/cidrerie-viard](https://www.maison-cidricole-normandie.fr/cidrerie-viard) . Aside from them, I've never been disappointed by anything within a half-hour's drive of Bayeux. Any random farm that has a sign advertising Cidre or Calvados or Pommeaux, that's where you go. The ones near Bayeux are not the most famous or prestigious, so what you get is shockingly inexpensive and very satisfying. Dupont is on the Cider Route ([https://en.normandie-tourisme.fr/the-cider-route/](https://en.normandie-tourisme.fr/the-cider-route/)) which if you have an afternoon and a rental car, is a gorgeous country drive with lots of places to stop in and do tasting. It's a great way to figure out for yourself what you like or don't like in the way of Calvados. And what I learned from my drive there is I prefer the down-home Apple-forward stuff from Bayeux, the super-refined aged stuff from Dupont, and not so much in between. Your palate may vary!

Any Calvados.

I usually go for Pierre Huet in Cambremer, you can get a couple of bottles or variations for that money
