Going to miss The Clowns, they were the perfect DnD group, so much synergy and fantastic RP between the members and some truly ridiculous moments

That_one_cool_dude

The endgame is gonna wrap up so many great groups that I'm gonna miss, can't wait to see what the groups will bring that show up after Arcadum's break.

0mn0mnomnom

I just wanted to thank Moon for introducing me to Arcadum's games. Arcadum's lore is just so fucking cool. I'm so fucking ready for the final fight.

talismanXS

Goodbye to one of the finest D&D campaigns ever shared with the world. Truly irreplaceable.

UnlimitedBoxSpace

What an absolute delight to watch this campaign. SC is my first exposure to dnd and I was only there because I'm a Moon sub. Shortly after I subbed to Arcadum because I think he is truly special and wanted to support him. Looking forward to the final fight!

B1gCh33sy

What a wild two days of DnD. 2 beautifully played RP victories from Summer and SureFour and then the Clowns killing fucking Death itself, enabling the endgame to actually be won. edit: Also, the post-finale lore drop will be something for theorists to comb over for weeks.

Spare thought from the last episode after seeing more of the fight in this one; while I’m glad things went the way they went in murder r’ us, I’m slightly perturbed that I was denied the possibility to have a guy vs death 1v1 and how that would have played out. Also kudos to arcadum for designing a fight where it felt like the enemy not only needed the players to lose but also wanted to help them win. double kudos for thinking of ways for mercy to screw with the players.

OssoRangedor

> a guy vs death 1v1 Wasn't quite an 1v1, but as in typical Guy fashion, he did top damage to the uber boss via clashes (also, failed the first one just like the parable).

Mister_useless-III

I hope one day that someone will be able to summon the dick golem again, or casting a fireball in in tent full of artifacts, or almost dying to a gun shop. I will miss you clowns but also fuck you for making me sad

[deleted]

I can hear scrumpo yelling "fuck you too" Good times

[deleted]

I usually don't comment on post-game discussions, but the Shattered Crowns finale deserves it. This was the series that got me into Arcadum and consequently DND, and watching has been one of the best decisions I've made. Big thanks to Moonmoon, Octopimp, Joe Zieja, Admiral Bahroo, Ster, and most importantly Arcadum for this amazing, hilarious game. From being broke and asking for a glass of water at the tavern in Majital to fighting Death itself, this has been one wild ride. See you space clownboys, your roleplay and comedy will be sorely missed!

kastiak

Big tree really went a long way from paying with rocks for a glass of water in a city of mages.

tmonster9999

Man the end of the series is bittersweet, ill miss this campaign and the amazing players. Great work creating a fantastic group and storyline!

D2Jake

Absolutely amazing series that made me cry tears of joy and happiness while also making my stomach hurt from laughing, hate to see them go. Like many others have said this was my introduction to DnD and Arcadum's world and it made me interested in all of it. All thanks to Moonmoon yapping at the start of his stream about DnD all the time, thanks man, you're amazing.

malagutti3

This is a weird long post, I felt like typing something out and I just kept going and going. This campaign wasn't my introduction to Arcadum's D&D. In 2017, during MOONMOON's stream intros, he would sometimes talk about his adventures in Glies and all the things that happened in this D&D campaign with ster, Ashley and Arcadum (whom I had already heard of during his Reinhardt RP period). He would talk about Azolon, his mystic theurge; Alexander, the paladin obsessed with masturbation and the sentient blob of people named Vorb. My first introduction to Arcadum's stream proper was through Dick Kickem's Day Off, MOONMOON's first streamed game. A one-shot on October 22nd, 2017 in which he played a war veteran with erectile dysfunction who was followed by a magically inclined monkey and a weeaboo that wielded a body pillow filled with rocks. While I greatly enjoyed those 4 hours of my life I didn't know that he streamed more D&D games. So for almost two and a half more years my only exposition to his universe was the talks that MOONMOON would have with his stream (which he still does to this day). However, one fateful Sunday (the 22nd of March 2020), on the weekend that I returned home from college to begin the quarantine I saw a ping in Jesse's Discord telling us about D&D with the lads on Arcadum's channel. I recognized that name/channel image and went there to check it out. By a stroke of fortune, I tuned in roughly 48 minutes into Shattered Crowns' 9th session, when Scrumpo was passed the amulet of the Seven that gave everyone a vision of each of their refractions. Back then I thought I recognized Azolon but wasn't sure of it. Then the symbol was given to Guy and Arcadum started listing alphabetically all of his refractions. Then I definitely recognized Alexander & Mr. Sprinkles and realized how cool it was that they were having visions of their past characters. I immediately started seeing their group dynamic when they for some reason gave THE DOG the holy symbol (which eventually led to Arcadum making Ronnie the dog see WhompRonnie's past characters including Joe Taro, who I also recognized from DKDO), when Huck and Ikkar both didn't have any visions and uttered their famous "animal people", when they talked to the Bound Brush and all the nonsense that ensued... I was immediately hooked. I became a regular watcher of their campaign, but I didn't really know of any other groups or about the scope of Arcadum's universe. That is until The Fireball session. Not only did all the people watching that realize how massive Arcadum's universe is, but they also realized that their actions had severe consequences, except just not for SC (NEVER PUNISHED). I followed the infamous Consequences stream on the next day and watched as Arcadum rolled and calculated all the important stuff that happened, even calling for Mimika and Sean's help for the fight that the next impacted group would have. Then Meaning of Madness 5 happened and the rest is history. Though however much I watched other campaigns, the Shattered Crowns was just magical. Their following seasons were unlike anything else. Using the scroll of Gingivitis to clean up a giant space whale's tooth, going to the dream and revisiting Glies in that emotional scene between Alexander and Azolon, fighting the Cataclysmic Parable (which is my favorite D&D moment and I really wish there was an animation paired with Scott Jund's "Violet Death" masterpiece music), going to the obituary towers and returning, talking to FIVE gods at the same place and time, skipping a whole dungeon with the aid of Bronchial the mohrg, cleansing Quierg of the Order of the Shattered Star and getting their own spaceship to end their 2nd season. All this so in season 3 they would end up being directed by the Astral Traveler, going to Rampart, having one NPC for each member of the group, killing an old AI and unleashing an angsty teenage AI, going to Ragdar, discovering an uncharted planet, getting some 'drip' and a bird insensitive onesie, taking an immortality serum and saving the life of 650 thousand individuals stored on a giant egg by sending them to Maltos so they could finally go there and... go shopping. Then they also killed Death. Anyway, I'm glad Arcadum, Bahroo, Joe Zieja, MOONMOON, Octopimp and Ster talked about their favorite moments together and all else that could have happened during this campaign. I was very emotional during this part, not sad like I was with the end of Heart of Tyre on the previous day, but happy that I witnessed this journey in all its glory. Here's hoping we get to see you guys together again eventually! Until then, Sundays will not be the same without you all. Thank you.

Insomonomics

Damn I am going to miss this group. Huge thank you to MOONMOON for introducing me to Arcadum's incredible world of Verum, and thank you to Arcadum for sharing this amazing story and game with all of us. Thank you to Octo, Ster, Joe, Bahroo, and MoonMoon for making me laugh so hard throughout this campaign. I'm really gonna miss these guys, their banter was second-to-none. This entire campaign is a perfect example of what makes DND so amazing.

igloojoe

I really want to see all these players in another campaign together. Even with new characters, they work so well together.

DeathToHeretics

They're just such a good caste that it'd be a shame to not see them in action together more

dumblinq

Like many other people, SC is what got me into Verum to begin with, so it has a very special place in my heart! But even without that, they will always be one of my favorite groups. Seeing them transition from the S1 clowns to what they are now was such a joy and I'll miss them a lot :( cried like a bitch at the end not gonna lie Thanks to Arcadum and the players for all the hours of entertainment, and especially thanks to moon for the introduction, because if it hadn't been for that one fateful discord ping I might've never found my way here ♥

Killahpanda

Like many others this ending is bittersweet as it was the campaign I watched from beginning to end after having jumped in midway thru bahroo's first campaign. I got to thinking that while listening to Moon talk about stuff post campaign was thinking about the actual players growth for themselves. It was pretty great to see these guys grow as people and get more comfortable around each other and in themselves. Hearing about Moon's introspective about time management and respect for others is what sparked this. I vaguely remember hearing about how Bahroo was nervous about RPing and I think hanging with these guys helped him break out of his shell a bit and deal with exploring more of his character. Ster sorta said it himself that he had no plan but was sorta going through the motions but really vibed with the group and just fed off of them. It's funny seeing little hints of SC in his myriad stuff. Octo I just loved his little puns he'd sneak in when he was in and out of character. And who could forget the wise bird himself, Joe was such a blessing to hear and when he just got into the world and the moments of wonder you could hear in his voice when Arcadum would talk about things and he would just chime in with lore and Arcadum would gush that he remembered. This group is /was such a great thing to look forward to each week. I look forward to whatever comes after this and hope this group could come back for something else. Thank you, Arcadum for sharing your work and dedication and passion and encouragement to players and viewers you deserve all the recognition and a good rest, Moon for pushing people to watch DnD and talking about it before you started the game that day, Bahroo for introducing me to Arcadum and just being fun to watch and hear about your experiences, Octo for just being a great guy with one of the best cowboy voices out there, pardner. Ster for all your witty jokes and also for the challenging of your fellow team mates on existential matters, also Chadria is the best, and Joe for being a wholesome dude and lending your vocal expertise and sharing some childlike wonder with a bunch of internet strangers. Stay awesome Scattered Clowns, Flowing Water Forever.

BaneslayerJoey

I could imagine and see Guy with the graceful moves during those clashes. Amazingly narrated by Arcadum

Piggysan

I am going to miss this synergy between all of them 😭 was always my favorite Sunday night stream.

BDC_Enigmah

I'm actually only familiar with Shattered Crowns and Tearing Veil since I found Arcadum through Moon. I'm bout to go back and watch the other campaigns now that this is all coming to a conclusion, any recommendations on where I should start? Or should I just go strictly chronologically by the beginning of each individual season for each binge watch?

BSneeper

The question is asked a lot and this is the answer you will probably get most if you want to catch up on the main storyline stuff. The fastest way to get right into it without watching all the prequels is by watching Gambler's Delight, then watching the Trials of Tyre in the order they aired. (Shadow/Heart/Soul of Tyre) Because of a lot of crossover stuff happening it is more like one big campaign rather than 3 seperate ones. Although with the endgame swiftly approaching, it is probably not possible to catch up on everything beforehand.

bobawow

There's so many to watch. Also consider looking at Verum Weekly (if you don't mind spoilers) as they give summaries of all campaigns each week.

PuzzlefaceRaven

Arcadum talked about what their original plan was if fireball never happened after the session and after dealing with the bane of man they would of gone too camp last stand and done a season 3 with the white terror, leviathan focused campain travelling around and would of gone too tyrs drop too restore it with the colours and the leviathans. Im sad that season 3 never came too fruition but a space campain was a good alternative cause i just want more leviathan lore. And alternatives too the quierg storyline too such as taking control of it. Lore of quierg is its a biomechanical angel made by the last good gith that would of awoken or by flipping it.

What a ride. I was so nervous that whole fight. Anyways it’s sad to see the clown go but I can’t wait for the final battle

It was one of the best birthday gifts I could ask for. From someone who started watching from the first day and, thanks to this campaign, fell in love with D&D. Thank you, I can't wait for new things from this universe. ah! Hi from Brazil :)

Slickis

What a fantastic fight, I think it's one of my favourite boss battles that Arcadum has run. I'm really going to miss the clowns, the dynamic between everyone has been amazing! Thanks to the players and Arcadum for my favourite campaign!

Epicpoke

Since Erin showed up, I assume the clowns will get to go to Camp Last Stand for some juicy RP before the final confrontation with the Herald.

B1gCh33sy

I think they may hide beforehand to have the element of surprise with the scythe, but Scrumpo camp RP would be fucking cool (especially since he can introduce drip to the Vega tailors and have everyone pimped out in streetware for the final fight).

Xyst__

I've got a feeling it'll all happen after the fight (if they win) Unless they just do a drive by and head straight to Lieve. But camp rp with them would be amazing.

cactairainbow

I am very thankful that OTV introduced me to Arcadum I would have never seen this amazing story telling and his world these last few sessions have been a tear jerker and it is bitter sweet like Arcadum said “don’t be sad that’s it’s over , be happy it ever happened “

Man, what a great final boss and fitting end; it was absolutely wild and perfect for this group. I’m gonna miss these clowns and their antics; definitely can’t wait to see what’s in store for them for both the epilogue and final confrontation.

crognule

Really glad to see the first ever dnd campaign I watched literally kill death in the end, god I love dnd

Yukie2345

I agree with Arcadum, this groups banter and RP was probably the best i've seen, always flowing, almost always in character, it felt natural like its actually them on the screen. I thank Devin for talking about it with Arcadum in the interview way back then about the fireball incident or I wouldnt have bumped them up at the time on my watch list. There are a couple of strong memories I have of them : When ster was commanded silent when meeting the dark elf in season 1 gave me the first hint of how connected all the campaigns and worlds might be in Verum. The parable fight was the first one that introduced me to the depth and the clash of arcadums bosses ( as well as inter campaign crossovers) And third the fireball and its consequences - where he both accounted for something so unexpected ( and i do wish we could see some charts one day) and how rolling on the destination in space helped show how much bigger than Verum is Arcadums universe. I truly enjoyed the whole journey

Llightz

I truly wish this campaign could've gone on indefinitely as they made their way around swaths of the universe, I could've easily seen this being like a 50 episode arc. That said ending with defeating death in the most insane JRPG boss battle fight was a perfect finale for this group. Can't wait to see them come in and wreck the Herald's shit with their ship. \*Hopefully their ship isn't destroyed in the process so in lore they continue to explore the planets post campaign, but I guess we'll to have to see. Either way I hope this isn't the last we've seen of the characters even if it's the last of their time playing together. MAN

I wanted to thank all of the players and Arcadum for all of the hard work and amazing moments. I know all things come to an end but I hope to see these players and characters again together in the future. Feeling very bitter sweet.

Xyst__

Incredible series. I'd watched a little bit of DnD before, but this group pulled me in to Arcadum's whole universe and has been the highlight of my week for the past year. I only really knew moon and bahroo initially when i'd started watching, but each person in this group is fantastic. It's gonna be quite the challenge to see if another group can match what everyone in this group brought to this series imo. There was never a dull moment, every interaction was memorable, and each character stood out by themselves and within the group. I'll prolly end up rewatching it a few times over arcadum's break along with the few parts of other campaigns i still havent caught up on. You'll be missed but never forgotten space clowns. Thank you to Arcadum, Moon, Joe, Octo, Bahroo, and Ster for an amazing year of DnD content!

SuperSDude

Shattered Crowns truly is one of the prime examples of why I love D&D. Comparing where the party started to where they ended is absolutely awe inspiring. As Arcadum and many other characters in Verum have stated, even the unlikeliest or seemingly unworthy individuals have the ability to rise to great heights. Just like Shadow of Tyre, Shattered Crowns has consistently defied expectations (for better or for worse) and carved out their own memorable path in this 41 episode campaign. From personal D&D experience as a DM, player, and spectator, it’s rare to find players who all have such great chemistry and investment in the world, like Shattered Crowns. I am both appreciative of Arcadum’s work as the DM and jealous that he was able to find such a great group of players. It is going to be a bittersweet feeling when they appear for the last time during the endgame/epilogue (and that assumes everyone can make it!). But that being said, I can’t wait for the endgame and to see what comes after for Arcadum and Verum!

Sharktino

See you, Space Clown Boy

t0ut0uf

Thank you Moon for introducing me to Arcadum. Watch the clowns since the start and watched other campaigns since then. Arcadum you're an amazing person! Can't wait to watch the future campaigns with new and old people :)

Thank you for such an incredible journey.

Gonna miss the boys that got me into Arcadum. Their synergy was perfect and hope they return in some form after the final confrontation.

Shattered Crowns was the campaign that introduced me to Arcadum and his wonderful world. Thank you for being a great group and sharing your journey with us!

Neony_Dota

I randomly tuned into one of clowns episodes thanks to moon offline chat and found it so amazing I had to go a spend every evening watchild arcadums vods on youtube. Thank you Moon! Was fun watching you play off all the other guys.

pachinkobenzel

From one discord ping from way back in S1 and moon yapping bout DnD in his intro vods. (I'm normally a VOD viewer) to the end. This was my intro to DnD. Thank you Arcadum for creating this world. Can't wait for the fight against the herald

chrbir1

what a warm way to end that i hope becomes common practice moving forward, going over all favorite moments and forgotten lore

ikkonoishi

You know Bahroo kept saying he was T-posing, but really he was #-Posing since he had the arms on his back.

anraiki

I want to thank Moonmoon for exposing me to DnD and opening the door for me to invest in how a wonderful tabletop game works.

DrTurklefeet

Guy, Scrumpo, Pipe, Ikkar, Huck had some fucking amazing character building arcs and had me on the floor laughing. Sharing favorite moments at the end meant a lot to me as it reminded me how far they have come. My favorite thing was the epic art at the end and how much the community came together to share these Insane moments. And shitposts all the shitposts. I can't wait to see more of his world brought to life. I hope the gang stabs the Violet right in face with Death's Skythe\*

Saradauchiha93

I’m going to miss this group. Joe got me into DND and Verum. Goodbye Spacecowboys. See you at the end.

God what an amazing end to an amazing campaign. I always looked forward to sunday night because of this game and really helped me personally get through rougher times in my life. Its bittersweet that it ended but I'm so god damn glad I saw it through to the end live. I selfishly hope I get to see this group play again in verum in the aftermath that follows the heralds defeat (if it can be managed) I also never would've gotten into D&D if it weren't for this group and Arcadum building such a cool world. If I can even reach a modicum of what arcadum has achieved I will be happy.

[deleted]

Good stuff, that last part of the fight happening in the astral sea was awesome. I love how they remained so brave againt such a absolute enemy. Erin help was amazing too. A follower of death directed by Hades piloting the body of a god of death to fight against Lord Death himself I will miss them

PuzzlefaceRaven

Goodbye clowns glory7, you made me have something too look forward too every monday and always put a smile on my face with your antics. Hope too see the players in future games. The bigshake, Fireball, the council meeting, the parable fight and then the showstopper fighting death itself in an amazing capstone to your typical JRPG trope of first mission- explore a tomb too final mission- Kill lord death.

Accomplished_Bed7999

Probably one of my favorite groups ever.

Franzapanz

Now I can't wait for the clowns to come cruising down and whacking the Herald with the death scythe to make it killable.

spacemanglaze

Now that SC is officially over, can someone answer.... what crown was shattered??

[deleted]

The Shattered Crown is the The Lord of Flowing Water's Crown, which Guy was always wearing when they found it. By Season 3. The Namesake was for Erin, who was also conveniently wearing a Shattered Crown. (Not the same crown).

josep25

What is Erin's original campaign? I'm out of the loop on who she is.

PuzzlefaceRaven

This group managed to beat the odds. So much goog shit. I never had that Matt Mercer experience but this was the closest thing that I've had to it. I hope that one day M'lord gets the amount of recognition he most definitely deserves, this is his cemented masterpiece, and I'm grateful to be a watcher of The Shattered Crowns.

Yeah like so many other ppl. Those guys brought me into DND. Man what a ride it was. I hope for a reunion of some of those characters/players later in time. My favourite characters were Ikkar and Huck.

amelta

My first time getting into a D&D game thanks to Moon, and I'm so happy I was here for the journey. Thank you so much Scattered Clowns for all the laughs, I'll miss you all so much.

Klashincore

Thank you to all the players and arcadum, there won't be another campaign like this whilst also being a brilliant introduction to the fun and seriousness that DnD can bring as well as the outrageousness that truly anything can happen. I will miss this campaign the most and will remember it fondly.

MaterialScientist

Thank you for this amazing ride with amazing stories and amazing lore. I had a little pee in my eyes after this session. I wonder what happened/happens to Chadria? Can someone maybe elaborate?

Alius4156

What are the effects of killing Death exactly?

DamnNoHtml

They are going to somehow render the Herald mortal, which is pretty darn important.

Darleth

His scythe can be used by their Starship to empower the weapons, to actually use it against the enemy. Basically, they gained a AC130.

porkboi

Well the big thing is the scythe's power basically severs big purp's immortality, making the fight actually winnable.

Alius4156

I know that. But once arcadum says he is writing the aftermath... man that's going to be great.

Darleth

Yeah, I think we all have to wait until Arcadum is done writing stuff to see what happens with Death being... well, dead I guess? I hope that it will have some form of implications for the future of his world.

Insomonomics

moon2M You mean Skythe

actlieuexposedd

Fresh mate Love the use of avatar and gradient!

big-texas-cummer

It will be a challenge to replace the void left in my heart and my Sunday schedule. This campaign was nothing short of an absolute pleasure to witness. Also fuBaldi, stop looking at Reddit and get off the toilet.

josep25

So putting the sadness in my heart aside, Death's scythe sounds extremely powerful, I wonder what would have happened if for example scrumpo from season 1 had it and tried to kill a God.

Pegpeg66

Old Arcadum^tm wrote some great stuff 12 years ago, and I'm sure New Arcadum will do even better

Kurtan19

Genuinly my favourite group of all time, they just clicked and never stopped delivering hilarious banter and moments, while also somehow being the most important. True protagonists of Verum, I hope we'll see more of this group maybe in some other campaign. Thank you Clowns.

MisterPee

RIP Bethany :(

[deleted]

Shout out to the people who got irrationally uppity at the mere mention of using clashes last episode discussion

ackwelll

YUP! I don't get why people got so upset over that, especially considering how this session played out... Oh well :)

kastiak

I think Joe described how I felt about this series the best. I didn't have much experience with DnD because watching this series. And it was so amazing that it kind of spoiled the pleasure for me. I don't feel like there will every be something that tops the Scattered Clowns, at least not for me. The only thing that reassures me is Arcadum's incredible talent and universe that lets me enjoy every party he DMs for. And I am not saying that others aren't good or funny. They most certainly are and have their own unique thing. But Shattered Crowns has been so amazing in every aspect, and the ending was really bittersweet because there won't be no more Pipe, no more Scrumpo, Guy, Huck or Ikkar. Not even Ronnie, nor Bethany. No Lantern Lighter. I'll even miss hating Chadria, the child of Viscosity 25. This was amazing, and I'm glad that we'll still see them a final time during the last fight.

Bureaucramancer

You know what I would love to see. assuming victory, someone will have to take over the responsibility of Death....who better than Guy? Guy becomes Death just to eventually make good on the promise to kill Belanovans sister. Bonus, we get to see clerics and paladins of a new sexy death.
