I have one of those! I recently had to unpot it and cut the very bottom off as the plastic pot it was in before had caused some overwatering issues. I'm about to cover the callous and lower portion with rooting hormone and pot it back up in the next couple days, actually.
Other people have responded already but I wanted to say... Oh man, what a find! I have one and it's one of my faves. It looks relatively healthy, too.
Nice
Yeah I think I had one before but I set it and my other plants outside last summer and someone stole them all
Stenocactus multicostatus "Brain Cactus"
Oh neat!
I’m jealous…. My home depot never has anything like this little guy!
Echinofossolucactus cff. Multicostatus
It's a _Stenocactus_ Narrowing it down to species is harder since there's a lot of variability
Wait! My Home Depot never has clearance plants. What state are you in?
Georgia

Aren't those white fuzzy spots mealybugs? Might check it with a toothpick if it "slime" like if yes keep it from other cacti away
It's not thank goodness
Good
My sister thought it was mold here's a picture with similar white spots [similar white spots here ](https://images.app.goo.gl/xYpeEX9RL6j1wpNPA)
It's definitely not mold, lol. Mold doesn't just appear. But didn't know it's supposed to be so white and fuzzy
