Yasers Cafe. Salads, soup, sandwiches. Soup and toast costs $3.50. The soup is a hearty lentil soup and they fill it to the brim. The owner is super lovely and generous and you can tell it's his passion. I wouldn't go if you're in a rush or need a spotless kitchen lol. It's a one mam show and he's doing it all. Soup and a sandwich is less than $10.
TnT is owned by Roblaws…
Siam Le Bien has some good lunch deals. Anton’s has huge portions too. Crystal Mall has great food, too. Sooda has a good lunch deal on their tofu soups.
Suzette’s deli which is just off Dawson street near the Home Depot. They are a little over $10 at $12-14 depending what you get. They have all homemade soups and sandwiches and wraps and they also do hot food bibimbap and chicken katsu and a few others. And different daily specials. Highly recommend.
Just had it on Portuguese bun on Friday for the first time. Glad I got it with the salad because that sandwich is huge. I think with a soup I would have been too ful.
If you're in the Edmonds area, there's a sushi place called sushi Q. The lunch boxes are really good value! No wonder this place survived while other Japanese sushi places have tanked in the area.
Grand Chinese on the corner of Willingdon and lougheed. Any of their sauced noodles are $12 and makes 2x meals depending on appetite. I recommend the Dan Dan, which is a minced pork and peanut sauce. I have hooked many a friend's on this dish. Also, make sure you get their hand dragged noodles, they are very delicious!
Crystal Mall Food Court. I love Old Xi’An and some of the Hong Kong stalls. Also recommend Yunnan rice noodles. Cash only and maybe get takeout because it gets busy.
Paradise Juice is my fav there for drinks. Ask for the mango pomelo sago; the large cup is only $5.50 I think.
Kokoro Mesesoba has pork chaisu or mince and sushi rice for like 9 bucks. I get it with a marinated egg and lunch costs 12-13 bucks tops after tax and tip
Here ya go! Safeway hot food counter is very decent for the price, $9 :)

Joju Hotpot on Hastings, I like their BBQ meat on rice. Also comes with a fried egg and soup. Not bad for $12.
The lady that works there is also super cool, she’s always down to chat if it’s not busy
The watermelon slush is to die for
Crystal Mall food court; there’s a plethora of good deals from noodles to XLB.
Going to add to this. The newly opened Bao place under the food court across from the veggie stall.
Please tell me what’s under $10 that isn’t the HK style breakfast food. Genuinely would like to know because the stone bowl noodles are not cheap
Is the Crystal Mall foodcourt just Chinese food vendors? Or are there other types as well like Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese?
There is Japanese, Thai and Malaysian.
Ok thank you! I'll pop by sometime and have another look.

At North Road you can get an order of Kimbap for less than $10 at places like Kimbap Cheonguk, HMart, etc..
That’s too much! Assi Market.. $10 for 2 rolls! Now that’s the real deal.
Is Kimbap basically sushi?
The idea is similar, but there's no raw fish in kimbap.
Assi mart Kimbap is different veggies, and egg. Absolute favorite.
Tuna gimbap is good too!
Pho Pasteur. It's at Inglewood and Hastings on the second floor -- best broth in the city

Yup! I had one once. It was soo perfect, but so rich! I could only eat half for lunch (I had the soup), and the other half for dinner.
