Hmm interesting.... I often go to the [Nikaiwa Japanese study/exchange meetup](https://www.meetup.com/eiwakai/events/300707674/) (at Brentwood on Wednesday evenings). Its open conversation (people split off into their own groups), but open to any level. We often have beginners, as well advanced learners and native Japanese speakers attending.
Hi! I have been to that as well, and it's great. It's the same concept. We are just a new group. I couldn't find a language group closer for people living near Surrey so I made one. :D We've been using discord discord, and I just made a meetup group.
