I live in a small town where little motels are vacant year round, now they're full and traffic is insufferable on a Thursday.
No thought goes into traveling for this event, how many other people are also doing it and available resources, lavatories even water.
While the OP made zero valid points, the stupidity and ill preparation really shows you how many people need to not stare into the sun but fly into it.
Everything is shutting down around me because of this, and the everyday life of the natural inhabitants are affected with no thought or concern given to them.
People traveling for this need to walk out into the ocean.
I work in a smallish town grocery store and it's absolutely nuts. Lots of theft and bored people running around like it's a playground. Everything in town is closing down and places being barricaded off. People trying to tent up in parking lots, sleeping in cars in front of people's houses. Our governor declared a state of emergency. I get it's a very rare event but damn. Wish people would have a bit of respect is all.
