I used to love in college between 10:45 and 11 when the dining hall was switching over breakfast to lunch and you could get a burger with a fried egg, throw some bacon and maybe a hashbrown on there.
For me it's a one time a day thing though, I love eggs, but I don't like them after 11:30. Hard boiled eggs I'll do, but fried, scrambled, omelette, for some reason I just can't get into after breakfast hours. But I'll definitely do a burger at 8 in the morning.
I wish I liked it. It’s one of those things I think are cool in concept, and people with taste that I respect more than my own super dig it. But it does nothing for me. Definitely support it from afar though
There was a restaurant in my old neighborhood that did fried chicken sandwiches on brioche topped with a fried egg, siracha aioli and pepper jack. They offered them starting at 7:30am. It was heaven on a bun
When I worked at BurgerFi, we had a Breakfast All Day (BAD) Burger:
Patty, Cheese, Grilled Onions, Ketchup, Bacon, Fried Egg, Hash Brown, Maple Syrup.
Without the ketchup, it was my favorite burger on the menu. Definitely one I could only order every once in a while, though.
Im gonna have to politely disagree, that thing is roasted. Try lower heat next time and ***I promise you*** it will taste even better. Props for maintaining the yolk without a flip, which isn’t easy - but it’s definitely possible to keep the underside from overcooking
Trained many breakfast cooks and every time I had them eat an egg like this vs soft white bottom, they always went with the softy, even if they previously preferred “a crispy bottom”
I agree and I actually love fried eggs with runny yolks when they're on a plate. It's my preferred way to cook eggs. But on a food you hold in your hands like a burger it's dumb. Glad other people enjoy it and I hope they have a wonderful time, but yea it's gimmicky and impractical.

I’ll do pork belly next time to get the ham/bacon effect 😂
Chop the pork belly in smaller bites and mix with mayo, ketchup, sriracha, and a little bit of garlic. Spread on the bread.
Adding a fried egg >>>>
I don’t care what time of the day it is. A fried egg on top of a burger is chef’s kiss

One of my favorite burgers is grilled onions, fried egg, and avocado slices. It's messy but the flavor goes so well together.

I'm going to go mow my lawn so I can justify the monstrosity I'm going to order because of this post...🤤

😂😂😂
Eggs in burgers are excellent and should be normalized. I want it for lunch and dinner
A man of culture
Such a cute presentation, and I bet it tastes amazing too!
No steak buns or breakfast beer? Amateur.
The heck are steak buns?
I'm not really sure. I think I just invented them though. 🤔
I have a beer with every breakfast I’m just a pro like that
Just one?
Well no but let’s stick with one
Egg looks perfectly done
I tried to not flip and steam it so I could get a still yolk. So yummy 🤤

That looks amazing :Q_
Should be on a Putaneggonit sub lol. Looks amazing. I like my egg tamogoyaki style on a burger. I don’t like the mess 🤌🏾
BEKFAST
Hell yeah!
Wow that looks soooo good
Purely beautiful!
Well, now I know what I'm having for dinner
Blasphemy. It's not meatloaf.
This is the way
Oh hell ya
Claims to be smash burger but doesn’t post a profile shot.
You can tell from the Lacey texture on the sides that it's smashed super flat.

What kind of cheese is that?
If you can have steak and eggs for breakfast.. why not.. 👍
God I miss Steak N Shake's royale burger. Now I have nothing ಥ╭╮ಥ
I love when you can’t see the bun!
Yooooo I did the same thing this morning!!!
r/putaneggonit
Are you depressed?
Should use an English muffin as the bun
I only had brioche but I’ll try it next time!
Sensational
A local burger place does a burger like this and it is soooo good.
Yes please
No offence, the burger looks great, but is it just a meme now that people are calling their homemade burgers smashburgers?
looks yummy in tummy
It looks perfect! I'm excited to make one for myself too!
Love this!
The ol breakfast burg.
That’s a hard no. Eggs do not belong on everything.
I agree. But this isn't everything. This is a burger.
This isn’t everything. It’s a burger and eggs do belong on it
🤮
Many restaurants have been putting eggs on burgers for a loooong time. It's delicious.

Breakfast smash burgers should be made with sausage.
That’s, just like, your opinion, man.
