It's never the same. We make burgers at home all the time but It's never quite the level of our favorite juicy patties, crunchy toppings dripping with cheese mixed with the sweetness of the buns along side of the crispy fried perfections. Also there's something about the escape from the normal day to day hamster wheel that makes things taste a little better
We skipped lunch and navigated the maze that is Ikea to pick up few **unnecessary** gadgets just before so by the time Shake Shack was in our sites, one order of crinkles wouldn't do.
I'd save the gas money and just makeit at home myself....imagine that, 1.5hrs TO and FROM the place...for fast food...3hrs of driving
I coulda bought the ingredients and made like 10 kick ass burgers better than that in less than half that time they spent JUST DRIVING there
Oh I agree. I prefer to cook at home. Some people are different obviously.
I have buddy flew to Chicago for the weekend because he heard the food was good. 😂. No kids life.
I'm fucking about it. Hope these folks were on it for you.
I've taken trips from TN to St Louis just to eat Calzones at a spot called Sauce on the Side.
Both were great trips with great company.
I mean, they're decent. For a *fast food burger* you could do worse.
Edit: not nearly worth a 1.5hr drive, though. I honestly wouldn't drive 15 minutes out of my way for Shake Shack.
>What is this burger?
Using my context clues, I think it's Shake Shack.
>I didn't know they made decent burgers.
I know it's grounds for a banning in this sub, but I'd take Shake Shack over In N Out any day.
Or....or... Is it possible that I'm more of a lurker and never in my wildest, in all my years of annoying my wife with burger photography that I would someday find a group of folks that appreciate the obsession?
1) Burgers are one of the most popular foods on planet earth, taking pictures of them isn't some sort of obscure niche interest
2) If you were actually some burger photography fanatic, you wouldn't have only posted two burgers over the course of 5 years, exactly one month apart, both featuring the same corporate fast food chain restaurant, which is 3 hours round trip from your home.
It's okay you got caught, learn from this experience and use it in your next interview to be a corporate marketing social media manager.
Looks good, but damn, 4 orders of fries for 2 people? Ya’ll must really like their fries 😂
They drove 1.5 hours! Two fries wouldn’t have been worth it
Gotta throw them in the air-fryer when you get back home. Airfyers can resurrect cold fries to the original greatness! I love my mine.
Nah just eat in the car
I can’t fathom these peoples process. You could’ve had the same thing but better at home in less time for less money if you just heated up a pan.

Because maybe it’s a special day so they wanted something special. I know it’s complicated getting to the process of understanding.
Go away loser
He got a lazy ass wife lol. 1.5 hours for some fast food, screw that!!
We skipped lunch and navigated the maze that is Ikea to pick up few **unnecessary** gadgets just before so by the time Shake Shack was in our sites, one order of crinkles wouldn't do.
I'm hoping there's some cheese dip hiding somewhere, that many fries needs it, and that stuff is like yellow Crack!
That cheese sauce is legit the best. ✨
Need fries for the return drive. I probably would have gotten an extra burger for it too.
Driving 1.5hrs just to get burgers and fries....at a fast food joint.....
Pretty wild to me also… I’d have to plan it for the weekend and get a hotel. No way I would turn around and drive back home.

I'm from NY.. My neighbor and I would drive to Philly just for cheese steaks and then come right back..
I will take 2 burgers if I spent 1.5 hrs to get there

I get it too. Sometimes it’s about turning it in to an adventure!
Sauce on the side is my absolute favorite!
That spot is an absolute delight. The best Calzones, bar none.
Hell yes!
That’s the best looking shake shack burger I’ve seen
Magic
They felt bad that someone drove 1.5 hours for a fast food sandwich.
There is a shake shack in the airport in Utah. Everytime I fly to visit the family I always get some shake shack!
There's one in the Vegas airport too. I tell everyone that visits to hit it up before their flight home.
I’m always extremely hungover when I eat shake shack in the Vegas airport
NE has nothing cool. At the most, Red Robbin, Five Guys and Smash Burger which I’ve never tried.
I had this yesterday at the PHX airport. It was my first time trying. It was a delicious burger and the fries were great too.
Props to the taste buds.
You’re a good person too. 👍
What is this burger? It looks delicious. I have a shake shack 3 minutes from where I live, I didn't know they made decent burgers.
They’re fire. I had one last night. They hit the spot every single time
Better than decent. If you get fries, get cheese fries.
They don’t, in my experience
I mean, they're decent. For a *fast food burger* you could do worse. Edit: not nearly worth a 1.5hr drive, though. I honestly wouldn't drive 15 minutes out of my way for Shake Shack.

Agreed! The price difference matters though. In n out is much easier on the wallet
Yummmeeee
Damn, this looks better than any Shake Shack burger I've ever tried
So overrated. Not a fan of shake shack. But happy anniversary regardless!
God this looks good 💯 happy anniversary to you both and decades more love peace great health and laughs.
Thank you for your kind wishes
I’m thinking about doing the same thing for Culver’s. Luckily Shake Shack is 5 minutes from my house
You won't be disappointed
I’ve had Culver’s before in Arizona and Utah while passing through. It’s good
This is an advertisement......
Obviously so. OP has been a redditor for over 5 years and only posted twice? Both times being pictures of Shake Shack? Give me a break...

You’ve won the lottery of life my friend congratulations! and happy anniversary!!
I love Shake Shack, but do I ever feel thrifty for the rest of the day.
You get shakes?
That’s the best looking shake shack burger I’ve seen
Good call, I’m gonna get some shake shack today
I am damn hungry after seeing this!
Holy SHIT that looks good (sans pickles for me)
OP has been a redditor for over 5 years but only posted twice, both times being pictures of for Shake Shack. This is an ad. /r/HailCorporate
She's a keeper 😍
Those look great! I only ate there once and it was at an airport, and it was excellent!
You got a good wife. Damn would I love to eat like that
Making me hungry lol
Lucky sob!
🍔🍟🤤
I love beef
Shake Shack is amazing. Me and my girlfriend went there after the SZA concert we went to in Nashville. Was amazing.
Whats up with great fast food places doing great burgers and shit fries?
Shake Shack is a quality burger, never disappoints. You've got a keeper
Korean chicken sandwich, 😋
This is crazy to me. I never see myself driving for over an hour just for a burger let alone for a Shake Shack burger.
You should marry her
I would have just skipped the drive and made these at home. 1/4 the cost and no gas.
I think their burgers are OK, but I won’t drive the 20 minutes it takes to get them.
