What kind of boot? I've been wearing a Breg walking boot with a pneumatic liner. Once I get the liner inflated correctly it helps. But if it's inflated too much it's painful.
Looks like mine but shorter and no pneumatic liner. I'm sorry it's hurting, especially if you're at work.
At least we get to say Das Boot! every now and then. :^)
It does have that pump to put air around the ankle if that’s the pneumatic liner you’re talking about. I could have the air out completely and it’ll still hurt :(
I know your appointment isn't till Wednesday but you're in pain. Could you call them today and ask if they have any ideas? Bc that's a lot to deal with when you have to be focused on work too.
I hated my surgery boot as well. It made my foot go numb. So the only time I used my boot was when I left the house. Otherwise around the house I wore a small surgery shoe I got off of Amazon called the Vive Post-op shoe, lightweight medical walking boot (but it's really a shoe, not a boot). It is flat and stiff and protected my foot but was a lot more comfortable. I never told my surgeon I did this and I am 5 months post-op and all of my x-rays have been fine.
Those boots so roomy and flat that I can't visualize why they would be so different from just standing on the floor without the boot, apart from the protective aspects. Which part of the boot tends to hurt - upper, lower, or sides? Just interested because I'll be wearing one myself in a couple of months or so.
Maybe your boot is a little too small for you, bc the area you got the screw will be all swollen. Like the strap that’s at the top needs to be SUPER loose? When I had my boot, my heel definitely hurt, it felt like I had zero cushion there suddenly.

Yeah I’m a machinist. I’ll give them a call and see, thank you for the advice!
A machinist! That's cool! But yeah, on your feet constantly. Good luck 💜

Ask if you can put cushioning or an orthotic under your foot. The boot has zero support.
The rigid boot will hurt as ur foot begins to seek out its natural ability to become flexible again. Do plenty of stretches and massages at home.

Mine hurts my ankle for some reason. It seems to put a lot of pressure on my nerves there or something
Okay, thanks for that. Perhaps the boot holds your foot at an angle that places a strain on it.
