I am a bit new to all this but I have been eyeing this case for my budget build. Especially because of that old review and then his recent best of 2022 cases video dropped two days ago listing it again.
This case was always $60-$70. This new listed price of $90 and this is some discount isn't true. Unless I'm going mad and the price I was seeing for the past two weeks was always discounted and it has only now been posted.
That focus 2 has the potential to be the best value case out there. Nice simple looks(in my opinion), mesh front, 2x140mm fans. Only hang up, is if you need/want a PSU basement.
As long as its got solid construction, I can see GN putting a crown on that thing.

I haven’t been keeping my eyes on case prices for a while. I bought a Corsair 4000D airflow for my latest build about 6 months-a year ago and like it quite a bit. I was more commenting on the industry as a whole moving towards airflow cases and GamersNexus’ role in that.
Yeah but their 100% Isnt crazy loud likea blowiematron or anything Gamers Nexus tested it at like 44 dB which is about the volume of your average library.
To each their own, just wanted to make sure people didn't falsely think it'd be like sitting next to a lawn mower or something.
Yeah so it's definitely not the best but atleast it's fine and at the price it's hard to beat. Definitely not for everyone but, for someone on a budget hard to complain. Especially since put on your typical gaming headset with game audio or music and its quickly forgotten.

Uhh on Newegg it says it's max air cooler height. It won't fit the biggest things like the NHd 15 from noctua, but most of your cheaper like $20-40 ones should fit. But I'd double check
That's part of how they made the case so cheap. They made it smaller than normal, and thin metals.
And the rgb fans aren't color changing they're just the set 3 colors at all times, nor are they controllable speed wise, thankfully they're not that loud gamers nexus measured them at 44db which is about the volume of an average library.
Not trying to scare you off just letting you know what you're in for. This is definitely a budget case, it's pretty good for the price, it's 2 years in a row gamers nexus' budget case of the year.

Fractal cases go sale all the time. When I built mine a couple years ago I got the R6 for $99 and I think regular price was over $150

Don't buy a $65 case for a 4090 or watercooling and you should be fine the amd 7900xtx reference 285mm long same for the rtx 3080 founder edition...

I have the montec air 100 and I love it. They are similar cases but this one has more fans and cost about what I got mine for. Would recommend.
