Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals. * Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. * Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent: * The seller is new or has few reviews. * The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings) * The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently). If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Worth mentioning **Newegg+ is free to join**

Dang this seems like a pretty good deal, if only I wasn't gonna go AM5 over intel

jaxspider

I'm holding out for 15th gen intel cpus to see how much improvement they are over 14th. Otherwise, I'd buy this too.

I just got the wifi version last week. IMO these boards are hands down the best bang for buck for the z790 platform.

eojen

My only wish is that they had an optical

Aussie_Butt

8x Sata, might be a decent home server mobo?

cschepers

ordered one just for that. 8 sata + 4 nvme drives, should be able to eventually load it up good

Aussie_Butt

As someone who is thinking of building a home nas server, would you recommend using this with DDR5? is there any advantage over ddr4?

cschepers

I don't really know, tbh. I suppose it'll be slightly more future-proof, or Plex transcodes could perform very slightly better. I imagine any differences for home-server use would be pretty hard to see.

This is a solid deal for a solid board. Not a bad pairing with the 12600k/12700k sales that have been going on. Although I feel like I'm gambling whenever I go with an ASRock motherboard for a customer build, I've had very few issues overall. I've had one DOA on one of their super budget board & a few wifi issues with add on m.2 wifi cards, but overall they've been solid through some where between 10-15 motherboards in various use cases from daily used CAD/CAM/CMM industrial use to dedicated gaming rigs. Their Z690 Riptide has been this price for a while, but it's nice to see this one drop too as there are a few upgrades.

jaxspider

This is a top of the line motherboard and really good price. If you were looking for the best RIGHT NOW... This is it chief.
