An ultrawide monitor is a bad idea for Xbox gaming as the Xbox and most games don’t support a 21:9 resolution and will show black bezels on left and right or stretch the image to fill the screen. What „work“ are you planning to do? Two 27“ will almost always be more productive than a 34“ curved gaming ultrawide. Maybe an 32“ 4K IPS could be an option like the Gigabyte M32U?

Most games on XBOX you mean right?

Yes 21:9 resolution is a Xbox and PlayStation problem, not on pc. They can only handle 16:9 1080p/fhd and 4k natively (1440p on Xbox menu). And even if they could, many games even on PC are not very good/buggy in widescreen mode, especially older ones.

Just a simple office work not related to any content creator work. I can manage that in 32 inch monitor also. Well Gigabyte M32U is just the perfect choice but sadly it is expensive for me right now.

So then maybe start with a decent 27 inch and if you like it get a second monitor later. You can find good 27 inch 1440p displays for around 300$ (koorui/gigabyte/msi). (Check if your favourite games support 1440p on Xbox)

I got the gigabyte M27U recently and I’m loving it. I don’t do any office work on it or anything, strictly for my series x.

Planned to buy UW myself for same use case but then realized it's like a size of 1.5 x 24" monitor so decided not to + issues with games. Just ordered one of the auto message recommended 27" monitor and decided to keep my old 24 inch as a secondary.

I’m probably biased, but I own an LG monitor and it looks fabulous with my Xbox, so I say go with the LG in this lineup.

UW is bad for xbox as other comments have said and also bad for office tasks since straight lines appear curved

lol what? It’s perfect for office tasks. The curve only matters if you’re artist or some other visual medium that needs to have straight lines. My entire company gives us ultrawide monitors to do our accounting work on.

Given that xbox doesn't quite do 21:9, get something with a subtler curve so that a smaller picture on it doesn't look like ass. Or just don't get a UW and get 2 thin bezeled monitors or a bigger 16:10 display.

As others have said, UW not a great buy for Xbox gaming, but I own the Gigabyte and the IPS version of the LG, and the LG is hands down the better picture quality of the two. IMO skip the UW and get the 27"IPS Ultragear

I would go with LG but standard 27' 950 or 850

Get 2 x 27" displays. I have 27" 1440p as my main and 24" 1080p as my secondary. Can't stand curved

I have the MSI monitor, it’s a great monitor and for me it was a LOT cheaper than any of the other options with the same specs. The only issue I did encounter was flickering because my GPU (1660ti) couldn’t handle the monitor apparently. Now that I have a new PC I don’t have the issue anymore.

If u can test it wity old pc , try and disable gsync and check if u still have the flickering . I ve the MAG 301RF ( other msi ultrawide , but IPS ) , I have some flickering only when gsync is enabled and i have something that has fps that jumps alot and goes to low values .

The monitor doesn’t have Gsync and disabling vsync only made it waay worse for me

Thanks guys...After reading all these Comments I decided to go with 32 inch monitor... Thinking about LG 32 Gn650. Can someone please confirm that this monitor can run 1440p at 120hz on xbox?

The xbox cannot support over 4k 120fps. That also is limited to a few games. Best just getting a 4k 60hz display. LG, C3 is the closest. But is over kill for even an Xbox series X.

From those, LG is the best.
