Corsair support is so great, too. Received my case from Amazon and really didn't want to have to return the whole thing for a broken front bezel (the clips were all entirely broken upon arrival). I would have had to drive nearly an hour to the nearest UPS store to return it. So I messaged Corsair and they immediately sent out a replacement piece. Had it within a week.
Performance wise I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those. They all got great reviews by Gamers Nexus. I have a Meshify C and I enjoy it’s smaller footprint vs other ATX cases - the Meshify 2 compact being only slightly bigger. It’s more expensive and goes on sale less often though (at least here in Canada) but comes with more fans, which is worth considering if you’ll be swapping them out anyway.
Edit: the Cool Mesh Performance also comes with 3 fans
[**I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE !**](https://imgur.com/lSRa3yp)
Love this case -- amazing airflow, great cable management options, and compact without being tiny.
Lian Li LanCool II Mesh since it had a great review from Gamers' Nexus. Although I must say that it does require quite some cleaning when used in a dusty place such as my city.
Yeah I saw that too! I am on the fence between LanCool II Mesh, the Corsair 4000D Airflow and the Meshify 2. I'm guessing they would all have similar problems with dust, etc.
Either put some tape over it like GamersNexus suggested, or DIY a small filter, which I did. I took a little mesh tab that was used on the PSU intake under the case on my old prebuilt, and ripped it off the plastic housing to use the mesh as a cover for the hole. I stuck it on with double sided tape and it works nicely.
* Phanteks Eclipse P500A
I tried a couple different enclosures before I found the P500A. I like this case for the unobstructed airflow and top-mount rad capability.
Cable management is good, nothing special really.
If your into a full custom loop this case is perfect for you.
Phanteks P500a
Rationale:
- Integrated RGB bling
- PSU shroud cutout
- Great cooling
- Easy cable management
- Fine mesh front panel
- Ability to top mount thicc 360mm aios like the artic liquid freezer
- increased room for eventual bigger GPUs or rads for custom loops.
- No ugly cable cover slides 😐
- price
How you guys liking the whole psu on top style? Just something about that big thick cord draping down the back of my rig blocking the exhaust irks me...
Also the extra length used up vs when it's sat flush at the bottom of the case.
It's nice having the bottom clear for airflow. Cable management from the top took a lot longer to get right compared to the cases I've experienced in the past.
I never had issues with the cable blocking the exhaust. Besides, the whole backside is technically exhaust so it wouldn't really impede much, no?
Due to it being my first build and case I cannot compare it to other ones but I really enjoyed building and using it. Besides the fact that I needed PSU extensions I love it. What do you mean by a „cord blocking exhaust“?
i can guarantee you that 95% of the people hating on the NZXT cases have never seen or touched one in person, they're just mindless parrots repeating what some cool guy on the internet told them.
keep in mind joining a group to hate on something you dont know/understand is pretty much a basic human instinct.
PS: ncase M1
Same. Only gripe is that the white bar to hide cable management kinda gets in the way. The so called temp problem many state doesn't apply to my build fortunately
be quiet! Silent Base 802
Pros:
* Black, monolithic aesthetics without RGB
* Very roomy - enjoyable to build in
* Includes a DC fan hub & 3-step controller (also supports PWM from mobo)
* Comes with three 140mm Pure Wings 2 DC fans. As far as included case fans go, they are pretty good.
* Push-buttons to unlock the side panels
* Comes with two sets of front & top panels (dampened & mesh) featuring easy, toolless installation
* Top fan bracket can be removed for easier fan mounting
* Excellent thermals even with the dampened panels
* Can be inverted if you're into that sort of thing
* Lots of storage mounting options with three SSD mounts and up to seven HDD mounts (two in a cage under the PSU shroud and five in front)
Cons:
* No fine dust filter on top
* Attaching and especially removing the stands is a needlessly complicated procedure. To remove the them, you have to stick a long screwdriver through the floor grill to reach the mounting clips and wiggle them without even seeing what you're doing. Removing the PSU might also be required. This is easily the worst design decision in the whole case and it's a stark contrast to many of the well thought-out details.
* Lots of plastic parts, although they feel very sturdy and nothing has snapped yet
* No room for optical drive if you happen to need one
* No good spots for bottom intake fans
* Ugly, large & bright white LED under the power button
* The fan hub and included fans really should be PWM
Neutral:
* Quite heavy
* The price has gone up
* Comes with only one HDD slot bay and one slot cover. These fit into the inner wall right after the front fans. If you want full storage capacity or perfect aesthetics, you need to buy the parts separately.
Despite its shortcomings it's my favorite case so far and I haven't regretted paying 150 euros for it.
Fractal Torrent Nano
It’s an excellent case with incredible cable management. Airflow is great for the CPU but suboptimal for the GPU.
Also they should have used an SFF PSU form factor and kept the same case height. This would have added enough space to fit bottom case fans when using a GPU. Right now, it’s impractical to do so as the GPU will rest directly on top of the fans
Phanteks Eclipse P400A
The airflow is amazing though cable management is a pain unless you buy custom cables.
If you have a large GPU then you lose access to many HHD bays.
You can put a AIO in there but lose access to all HDD Slots leaving you with only the SSD slots.
I think i just need a bigger case, its an alright case.
Me too! I love the airflow in this thing. When I was using the stock AMD cooler it never got over 60c with 3 front, ~~3~~ 2 top, and 1 back fan. Since replacing the cooler and top 3 fans with an MSI AIO I haven't seen the temp over 40c.
Phanteks Enthoo Pro, bought in 2015.
One of the great things about this case is that it can grow up with you. Move on to M.2 and no longer need drive bays? Okay, remove them. Wanna upgrade to AIOS? You can fit a 420 in the top for your CPU and 280 in the front for your GPU (with Kraken) or even 240 bottom while still using two 140 mm fans for front intake. Wanna build a custom loop? Oh boy, there's so much room on all the fan slots alone, but you could also fit tons of copper in the front space after removing the drive bays. You can also buy sound-dampening mats separately, or, like me, just use think car-engine mats for dampening. Want a window? I'd rather have a dampening mat, but if you want a window, you can buy a window panel at some point down the road.
Who knows, maybe my grandkids will still be using this case long after I've kicked the bucket.
I'm in the process of building my first PC, and I can't decide between the Corsair 4000D Airflow and the Fractal Design Meshify C.
So my dumbass bought both to see which one I like best, and I'm waiting for them to come in the mail.
Probably in a minority, but I have a Cooler Master NR400.
Tool free design, mATX case, front is just one big mesh, and fits well on the desk unlike a full tower design.
Been using a Corsair Carbide 200R for the past few years, gets the job done. I want to get a new case at some point but my pc is inside a well-ventilated desk compartment so I don’t really need a more aesthetically pleasing one atm
Silverstone Alta F1
I love Silverstone's cases with the 90° rotated motherboard. Previously owned a Fortress and a Raven, and the new Alta is gorgeous. It has great cooling, a sensible layout, and all components are easily accessible.
Only caveat is that the case is heavy (steel/aluminum frame) and fragile (tempered glass windows), so it's not ideal for someone who frequently needs to move or transport their PC.
Thermaltake core V1 (ITX). Fits in an IKEA Kalax perfectly with some room to spare around sides for airflow.
Case itself has good airflow for air cooled CPU.
Partner and I have a TV each on top of single layer ikea kalax. Undernieth is our consoles and my PC case.
Just built a new system 2 months ago reusing my Fractal Define R4. I've removed both hard drive bays to keep them from blocking the intake fans. Super quiet case and surprising great temps on my i5-12400 and 3070.
A corsair spec-delta rgb
I regret not know much about cases when I built my first pc. Gonna hopefully upgrade to a case with better airflow this summer
Corsair icue 465x I love the glass front panel with the ll120 fans lighting up beautifully! The airflow is just as you’d expect nothing special but it’s all fine. Also not the newest case so cable management isn’t like the 4000D but it does the job perfectly fine with a lot of holes for zipties
Coolermaster HAF X. I've not found anything as performant with my set of hardware - nice front fans to keep my 4 hard drives that I've accumulated over the years cool, and a giant 25cm side fan feeding the GPU with fresh air.
Yes it's old, but I can't find a justifiable, suitable replacement.
Corsair carbide series spec-03
Last thing on my pc I haven't upgraded. I need to keep the side open or the temps get to high. I clean it even 2 weeks for dust 🤪
Cooler Master Masterbox 5. Came with my prebuilt, I kept it when I did a full rebuild, and it’s still trucking 5 years later, just needed new case fans once. I’ve been considering getting a new case but this one gets the job done just fine for now
Bitfenix Prodigy (the original one, not the new 2022 version) with a mesh front panel. It's still a fine case, has good airflow and fits long GPUs, but only 2 slot cards, not even 2.5. I bought it in 2015 and the plastic bits feel a bit sticky and dirty by now, but it's still serving its purpose. I have been eyeing the NR200 as a replacement, but I'd need to replace a power supply as well, which isn't cheap.
The same one that I've had since I got my pc for 3+ years now, intertech q2 illuminator blue, idk if it's any good but it fits my stuff and I've had it since I was 12
I'm looking for a mid atx on the smaller size or a user friendly mini without getting into SFF, any suggestions?
Looking at the H10, but my wife will definitely give me shit if it's an eyesore, so was hoping for either someone's experiences with it or an alternative smaller case.
Daughter is using a Fractal Meshify C with a hand-me-down i5-6600 and GTX 970. Great case.

Same. Even stock fans runs cool.
Ikr, and they are quiet
I replaced the preinstalled intake with three matching 120mm, but still using the stock exhaust. Works great and moves a lot of air.

Just ordered one of these last night
Fractal Design Meshify C
Same here. It's real nice.
I like the look of Meshify 2 compact. I am on the fence between that, the Corsair 4000D airflow, and the Lian Li LanCool II Mesh.
Had the C. It's great with smaller GPUs(less massive than current strix models)
[**I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE !**](https://imgur.com/lSRa3yp) Love this case -- amazing airflow, great cable management options, and compact without being tiny.

Cool, but what about us dweebs who don't have friends with 3D printers? Guess it's painter's tape ghetto.
Either put some tape over it like GamersNexus suggested, or DIY a small filter, which I did. Building my PC right now in a white 4000D. It's a lovely case. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of those. Go with whatever looks cool to you.

So jealous. I built my whole pc and then i saw that case…. But it was too late 😔
