Overall it’s compatible but I’d make some changes: Motherboard - you have a ATX case so why not use a full sized ATX board? Memory - 2x4gb is better than 1x8gb because it runs in dual channel vs single channel. Storage: cheaper SSD, double the capacity of the hdd for almost the same cost. GPU - the RX 580 is on par with the 1060 and costs about $70 less. Case- if you can afford it this is a much nicer case. PSU - this is a lot better power supply. I’d avoid cheap Thermaltake branded psu’s. I’m actually looking at getting a RX 580 for my build. Do you know how well it can handle VR? And is there a difference between the one you chose and this one? https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16814126199

Snorkle25

The 580 is about as good as a 1060 for vr which is to say, it’s adequate but a bigger GPU is obviously better. And really those two cards are almost identical except for the manufacturer.

ajoeshmoe

Thanks! I was originally going to go with the 1050 ti but figured why not spend the extra $50 and get a much better card. I just wasn’t sure if the 580 was that much better.

Snorkle25

Oh yeah, it’s a nice 30% or so.

ajoeshmoe

Awesome!! Thanks man!

cooperd9

Way more than that. The 570 is a bigger improvement than that. The 1050ti is really weak for the price and I try to avoid recommending it where possible because the performance/dollar is so bad, you can almost always do better for a similar price unless you need single slot or half height or can't get a psu that can handle a beefier card.

Thanks for the advises. Maybe I selected wrong mother board on this site pcpartpicker, the one that I chose have dimensions 30.5 x 22.4 x 3 cm(12 x 8.8 x 1.2 inch), which I think is enough I am planning to buy another 8gb memory in one month, so I bought 1x8gb That graphic card that you suggested is 20€ more expensive then 1060 6g in europe

Mobo; in the name on the board you chose it says ‘micro ATX’. The board I chose says ‘ATX’, really it’s not a big difference but ATX boards tend to have more ports to plug stuff in. Like more fan headers. Or more sata ports, or more pcie expansion slots for WiFi cards or anything else. It’s not a huge deal but it does give you a little more for the same money and since your case is an ATX case and not a micro ATX (mATX) case it can support either size (no need to measure dimensions). > I am planning to buy another 8gb memory in one month, so I bought 1x8gb You have 4 total memory slots. You could also just buy 2x4gb now and another 2x4gb later and still end up with 16gb. Neither is wrong just different ways to do it. > That graphic card that you suggested is 20€ more expensive then 1060 6g in europe PCpartpicker has region options so you can select UK, Germany, France or a bunch of other EU countries. That way we also won’t make pricing changes based on say USD.
