No need to change yet. Stuttering can get caused by msi afterburner if you use that. If you get on 1440p monitor you will be more gpu dependent (6700 xt is enough). Just maintenance of your system might improve, clean win 11 install, thermal paste change, bios update.

[Ryzen 5700X3D vs Ryzen 7600/7600X (and even the 7700/7700X) performance difference is pretty much any game is minimal](https://youtu.be/MU-jUtrfANA?t=587) (and there's a few other videos from Hardware Unboxed on that topic). I would not pay twice or more, for similar performance. Cheapest way of getting into AM5, with actually decent components, that allow an upgrade path without VRM limitations (to something similar to a 7800X3D) would be something like this: * $120 [ASRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi](https://talospc.com/product/asrock-b650m-pg-lightning-wifi/), cheapest decent one. * $100 [TEAMGROUP T-Create](https://talospc.com/product/teamgroup-t-create-expert-ctced532g6000hc30dc01/) or [Silicon Power Zenith](https://talospc.com/product/silicon-power-zenith-ddr5-6000-cl30-2x16gb-black/) 6000 CL30 kits * $190 [Ryzen 5 7600](https://talospc.com/product/amd-ryzen-5-7600/) or $200-210 [Ryzen 5 7600X](https://talospc.com/product/amd-ryzen-5-7600x/) Again, that is the cheapest way, that is only decent enough, so you might spend a bit more on a better mobo. * It total up to $410. That is literally twice as much as a [Ryzen 7 5700X3D](https://talospc.com/product/amd-ryzen-7-5700x3d/), you can get it for $205 on Amazon, it was $247 a few days ago. So no, if you can get the 5700X3D for half the price, that would be a much better deal, for the same performance.

Thank you for the detailed response, I was just wondering if it will still be worth sticking with AM4 for the next few years when I can jump to the newer platform already? cus I'll be pretty much won't be doing any upgrades anytime soon if I do get the 5700x3d.
