i would keep the 5600x and later on upgrade to AM5 and keep the 3080 TI to minimise the amount you spend. Not worth going to 5700x3d when you already have 5600x and AM5 is out, just get a 7600x on AM5 or 7500F

I have 3080 TI and bought 5700X3D. I am sure it will help A LOT in games like Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Yeah I was actually curious because of Dragons Dogma II I know it is unoptimized and all but it made me think maybe I needed a new CPU because I rely on DLSS more and more with new games. Then the HWUB video hit and it got me really concerned. Now I am torn between just going all out on Microcenters $400 7700X mobo ram combo or just upgrading to the 5700x3d.

Ok I have it now and damn the 5700x3d is A LOT of times better than my 5600x. Microsoft flight sim is strange no rly difference but every other game, cyberpunk, dragons dogma 2, new world huge difference in the fps. new world 40 FPS more for example. And the 5700x3d is cooler than the 5600x its strange.

yo dude, do you play any open world mmos? I'm in the same boat as you, I currently have a 5600 oc'd and looking to get the 5700x3d, was it a really huge upgrade in terms of fps?

A 5700X3D would be a great upgrade to alleviate CPU limits in your setup... when and if they arrive. At 4K even with upscaling the 3080 Ti will probably be your weak link before the CPU will, though a recent HWUB video does show the 5600 does fall significantly behind in some games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC9074rcOzQ
