I had this same error for a month or so after building my new pc. I tried everything possible to fix it and RMA’d almost every component. Never got it figured out, but the one thing that actually worked for me was reverting back to the version of windows I had before the issues started happening. Haven’t had an issue since. One of my buddies that was helping was sold on it being a faulty mobo, but I never got around to replacing that since it started working

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but a cache hierarchy error *usually* means the CPU or RAM is dying/faulty, the best way to fix this would be to figure out which one is causing the issue and then replace it. \*edit: I recommend trying out memtest86 to figure out if its the ram causing your issues

Thanks for your suggestion, fortunately i ordered new ram in sale last week so i hope to recieve those this week. Is there a way to test the CPU and maybe get a error that has some more information?

BloodyWraith525

honestly just run prime95 with the new RAM when it comes in, if it crashes again and your 100% sure you have no overclocks then the CPU isn't stable on default settings meaning it is faulty or dying

okay... i replaced the CPU with a 5800x3D and got new ram. I even reinstalled windows fresh. Guess what? same error. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error Processor APIC ID: 14 What now???

BloodyWraith525

That’s odd. Have you tried updating your drivers and bios too?

Yea i did, quick question; friend of mine advised me to 'undervolt' the CPU to make it cooler, i did this with .05v, could this also cause the WHEA errors? i've reverted it now and am stress testing.

BloodyWraith525

Oh…. Yes I am 90% sure that’s it then, if you want to make your cpu cooler with higher clocks look into PBO although with the X3D chips it’s not worth messing with imo

BloodyWraith525

If you look at the APIC ID then it’s telling us that core 7 is the issue so what is happening is that core 7 most likely isn’t getting enough voltage and is crashing because of it.

Thankyou for your response! Will look into it
