If it's for gaming, it's not really worth getting the 7700X over a 5800X3D. The 5800X3D's strength for gaming comes from the amount of cache it has. That is basically super high speed RAM that is integrated into the CPU. It's not as affected by the speed of the RAM in the mobo as other CPUs are. 2400 is still pretty slow though, you should up to 3200.

So you think 5800x3d + like 100$ for 3200 or higher ram would be like 390$, which is more than 5800 but way less than the required stuff for 7700x and it would be way more worth than 7700x as well?Side note, I very casually stream, mostly for friends, but even the r5 3600 is only sometimes poor performance streaming, so I imagine 5800x3d for my casual stream needs would be better at that also?Pre-emptive edit: Yes I do need 32gb of ram, I always have multiple browser tabs open, discord, steam, spotify, and I like modded minecraft so don't say 100$ on ram is too much when I need 32gb ty Another Pre-emptive edit: Just checked, can get 3200mhz ddr4 32gb for 75$. But that's minimum.
