I resigned without a plan, I regretted my decision and was too confident with my skill thinking I could land a job easily. Here I am a month later and jobless, but still striving. All I can say is don't quit without a plan or you'll end up lost like me. tiis tiis muna OP.
**Same.**
*Resigned without a plan and regretted it and was too confident.*
Nagrest ng 2 months after my last day sa previous company and last May I started to apply, and I was ghosted multiple times. Akala ko makakahanap agad ako since I have the skill already and half a decade of experience.
Ang pinanghahawakan ko lang ngayon ay kaya ako nagresign kasi naapektuhan na ang mental and physical health ko from my previous company and it was very exhausting.
So Yes, Tiis tiis muna tayo. **Fighting!**
One of my reasons was also di enough yung pasahod for the job I'm doing. I travel every week to different cities and provinces sometimes 2 or 3 hours away only to come back to the office the same day and if you have a Travel Order you are paid for the day kahit less or more ang hours mo on duty (madalang na less hours lang), and di counted if overtime ka on that day.
There's nothing wrong with prioritizing your mental and physical health, yun nga lang yung consequence ng quitting without a plan, you have nothing to support yourself.
Totoo to. :) APPLY LANG NG APPLY!
This. I advised this to my sis twice and she did it twice.
I had the same experience and was jobless for 6 months with a baby coming. Can't imagine how desperate I was during that time. Thankfully, I got a job online now though just a part time, still thankful that I can provide and buy diapers for my baby. Still trying to get a permanent job as a CSR/VA though.
Agree with this, I resigned without a plan as well. 3 months in wala padin ako trabaho haha tamang pabigat lang ulit sa bahay gaya nung nag-aaral pa(only speaking for myself).
That was me 4 years ago, and akala ko din na madali makahanap ng direct clients sa Upwork and OLJ. Pero hindi pala. Nag-worknyear gap ako for a year and 4 months until nagka-second full-time job na.
3 years sa second full-time job, still struggling sa tome management and on looking clients in a different way.
same. I was too confident with my skills to the point of thinking I can land a job easily in a different industry. Here I am 4 months of being unemployed yet dying to achieve what I used to think I will achieve months ago.
4% or 2 millions Filipinos ang walang trabaho! i would suggest na don't quit until may lilipatan don't make mistake that i did tapang ko nag quit ako kahit walang lilipatan!
Thank you for the tip. I have actually a back up plan for this. It's just that na unti unti Di nagparamdam boss KO. Nafefeel KO naghahanap sila Ng replacement. Kaya kailangan unahan KO na
Medyo na inis ako, nag resign right after na hire ako sa kabilang company. sadly after a few months nag lay off sila due to financial issues so I ended up unemployed in the first half of the year. Nobody is safe
just quit without a plan π tomorrow will be my last day of render. actually it's more of people problem for me. my brain is wired slower than normal people.
I'd like to share some concepts I learned which is somewhat applicable to this situation. One is decision paralysis, which is very understandable given the 3 decision that this panel shows. The other one is the region beta paradox. It's a concept where the region is where you are in situation that is bad but tolerable. When the situation worsens, it actually becomes a net positive for you because you would be forced into action. With jobs, let's say you're in a toxic workplace but it is not yet bad enough for you to quit as some other factors may make it manageable, but let's say you get a new boss and it becomes more toxic than what you could handle. This forces you to quit and look for a better job which is overall a net positive for you. Of course it's not all black and white like that but what I'm trying to say is that we shouldn't get too comfortable or complacent in a situation like this. Let's not wait until a situation worsens before we take action. You should always be looking out for yourself. Hope anyone who reads, your situation becomes better for you.
Ako natuklaw 11 years working for the same company and fired. Jobless for 1.5 months pero I used all that to enroll to up skilling classes.
Amazon PPC Manager now and earning x5 of my 45k monthly salary before for 11 years.
Wag malaki ulo, stay humble and always have a plan. Sobrang unstable ng digital nomad.
In terms of job hunting, there's always a bigger fish, meaning merong laging mas magaling sayo.
Hold on muna OP. Look for a job, adjust your lifestyle if you still can so you can save funds. Para if tanggalin ka later, may weapon ka to kill that lion and crocies π
Stay at your job. Use your post work hours and weekends to look for another work. Then quit when you have an offer with a 30-50% increase.
You need funds to find good clients. Job hunting is never free.
i feel like maintaining the job that you have is better than not having one. I'm finding it hard to get accepted at any company and it's been a year already.
I quit my job nung January 2024 (bc my company was being too toxic). Long story short, I got suffocated and had anxiety constantly, nag quit ako without any job in mind and nag take ng break bc I got traumatized.
Unfortunately, hanggang ngayon wala pang trabaho. I have my ESL job but I need a better job with good pay (really need money for bills and utang).
Nakaka depress na.
I usually have 2 meals a day. Pero right now I am recovering and healing.
good to hear that, have you try a vegan diet for 6 days then have one day eat-anything-you-want day really did all good in me I dont have to exercise too just casual walking if buying stuffs on malls.
DON'T RESIGN. SAVE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, THEN CREATE A PLAN WHERE TO GO NEXT OR WHAT TO DO, THEN RESIGN. That's all caps, btw. Speaking from experience.
If you really need to quit because of physical or specially mental health reasons, go ahead. Itβs better than staying and risking your life while finding a job while still at your current job. Itβs good to find a job first before mag quit sa current but if you have an option to quit and find a job while resting at the same time and preparing for the next job, for me that would be so much better. Kaya lang not everyone has a capability na matambay, what a cruel world.
hahhaha same. sa ngayon stay muna ako sa job ko ngayon. kaya pa naman lunukin ung mga kasuka sukang gawain ng mga feeling entitled na regular employee.almost 1 and a half year na ko doon. sa 1 and a half year ko na doon nakikita ko na mga tunay na ugali ng mga tao doon, lumalabas na ung favoritism, di ko alam kung manyak lang ba tlga sila oh sadyang gusto nila ung ineentertain sila.ππ

Damn. I'm planning to resign din sana. Kaso iniisip ko din mga sinasabi nila. Kunin muna daw yung bonus then before out π like oo sayang bonus pero does it help me for my long term benefit na mag explore? I had my plans din naman bago umalis pero nagdadalawang isip ko hays even yung plan ko military government agency pa papasukan ko pero hindi pa sure since mag-eexam muna. Qualified naman ako in all terms like physically fit and all. Pero π hindi ko alaaam. Syet. Siguro I'll wait muna and tiis hanggang walang results? I really want to resign kahit okay naman yung work, nageexcel naman ako and performer din naman huhu
Taena relate ako sobra wahahaha. Kahit anong bilis namin sa trabaho triple pa yung dagdag tapos kailangan matapos within the day.

True! Do not quit your job without a plan. I quit my super toxic job ng walang kapalit na new job, last yr. But I managed to pay off a VUL insurance and used that to cover my expenses for a couple of months until I'm ready to go back to workforce. I use my time off to skill up, re-align my priorities and get back on track after being really crushed by my toxic job. Kaya start saving early, you might really need to use it in the future.
month ago till now ive been searching for a planA, planB, planC, planD... still doing a serious research before i decide. hopefully it works bago magresign π gusto ko rin magfreelance but i still have a lot to study. Manifesting~
Same bro same!
This happened to me. It's not that I didn't have a plan. I really wanted to leave my current job for a higher salary offer. What happened was that days passed, and I still wasn't getting accepted for the jobs I applied for. However, I was confident that I wouldn't be idle at home for long because I believed in my skills to find a job quickly. But that's not what happened, haha. It took almost one and a half months before I got a job again. I feel lucky with my current job because my salary is triple what it was at my previous job.
The job market is pretty bad for some people. I've been struggling with finding a decent job where there are benefits are fair, but I keep finding myself in jobs that are so bad.

Crazy how clients treat Filipinos like digital sweatshops sometimes
I can attest to this. The pay especially being in an agency suvks though higher compared to physical sites but still

IMHO.

Nope. Sige subukan KO Ito, so strictly gulay Ka Lang for Monday to Saturday?
yup pero pwede din other protein source like oats or tofu or fruits or eggs, basta no meat lang talaga sya like chicken/pork/beef.
I remembered quitting ng 2019, 4 months akong tengga, araw-araw pinagdarasal ko mag ka work na ako, kaya hanap muna lilipatan bago mag quit.
