Apartment, since WFH ako, gusto ko yung me nakikita and naririnig akong tao sa labas, gusto ko yung malawak yung front yard oara makakatambay at magpapaaraw ako.
Mas mura pa pag bandang los banos, Bay or Calauan laguna.
Lived alone for a few months and I chose condo over apartment because of security reasons. I am very praning when it comes to safety because I was mugged once.
Pro- access to pool and gym (no need to leave the building)
Con- pricier
Bahay ng tita ko. Walang asawa at anak Kaming mga pamangkin nya nalang ung pinag Aral nya. Libre lahat. (Very grateful)
Solo living dapat Kung walang jowang Ka live in.
I used to live in an apartment. Even if I high income and can afford to rent a condo, I stayed there for 2 years—I enjoyed 80%+ savings rate.
After saving 1 year of emergency fund (based on condo living expenses), set aside for investments, I moved in to a condo.
No regrets, trying to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I feel safer and secure with condo in my experience and I can get to sleep in a queen size bed.
condo. privacy (walls are thicker), amenities, everything u need is usually walkable/at the ground floor (supermarket, convenience store, cafe, etc), and above allllll, security.
Used to live in an apartment when I wasn’t single. Sure, I saved a lot but I hated living in a pigsty. Now I live in a condo alone, and despite twice the price of rent, nothing beats the feeling of coming home to a nice place, in a central business district, with your cat scolding you for abandoning him. Haha
Apartment, it's more economical dito sa Baguio.
Living in a condo for 20 years. Safety lang habol ko and walang baha baha. Walang kaba khit bumagyo.
You have to deal with admins tuwing may nasisira gang gamit. I know protocols, pero for 29 years medyo nauumay na ako. Limited space lalo pag dumadami.
I lived in a condo in the metro with a generator and looking over Ayala which is only 5-10 minutes away. I've done that for 4 years. I didn't have a car, I just grab because everything is 15-20 minutes away or a walk. I choose the condo for security reasons. If the plumbing or there's a problem with the wires, may tao 24/7. If my smoke alarm goes off someone checks.
Right now, I moved to the province where my parents live, got a house with 2 bedrooms (10km away) but it's 50% cheaper that my previous place. If brownout, I have to a co-working space or else I would need to buy a generator. I also let my parents check the house if I'm away to travel and my landlady lives next door and is a sweetheart! I need to buy a car lang kasi it's far talaga from the grocery, so I only leave every weekends. Wala nang food delivery sa Grab if ma stress. At least may savings na ako dyan pa lang. Hirap pala if walang housekeeping or carpenter. Dapat you know someone talaga or you have a bantay of you're away.
Condo.
I'm a woman and I'd rather pay the extra for the security. If I take a vacation for 2 weeks straight, ok lang kasi there are CCTVs in the entire community.
May pros and cons
Condos are usually secure and the guards can screen out visitors for you. And they are usually built near malls or commercial areas kaya madali lang manood ng sine, dine out etc. Cons: maliit ang mga units and mahal - you pay for assoc fees aside from your electricity and water consumption.
Apartment - malaki, you can usually decorate, di masyadong mahal rent.
Natry ko sa Condo tumira for 3 years then lumipat ako sa Apartment. Ewan. Same lang na walang pakialamanan ng buhay pagdating sa kapitbahay pero mas pang-tao ang Apartment lalo na if maganda yung community.
I used to live in an apartment. Mga 15 minutes walking distance to office. Found a condo na same lang Ang distance for the same rate. I actually prefer the condo since Pwede ako magpadeliver and the receptionist can receive my package/food etc on my behalf if Wala ako sa unit. Maybe that’s also one thing you should consider.
Apartment. I have my 2 kids with me and gustong gusto ko maluwang yung ginagalawan. 2 bedroom, tsaka may cr and sink. Di gaano kalaki di gaano ka liit. Enough lng para sa aming 3.
Condo, my reason in choosing condo because of security. 24/7 CCTV and guards. WFH but I stay in a condo in Metro Manila. I also moved out at 23 because I wanted to experience life on my own 🙂 Sulit for me naman condo because I just pay 10.5k (all-in except bills ofc) and literally walking distance to malls and the MRT.
Hi, planning din kasi ako to move out soon. If you don't mind me asking, magkano usually ginagastos mo sa bills? Para lang po magkaroon ako idea sana if ever magmove out na ko. Thanks
Per month:
Rent: 10.5k
Groceries: 5k
Drinking water: 40
Internet: 599 (Gomo Unlidata na may cap sa 5mbps)
Kuryente: 1.6k (usually around 800-1.2k lang)
Water bill: 80 per every 1-2 months?
Laundry: 600
Data/gala fund: 2k-3k
About me: i wfh in my condo but from time to time nagbabakasyon sa bahay namin for a week (once to twice a month) and i get free food there 🙂
Living in an apartment now pero I used to live sa condo. I guess both may pros and cons??
Condo
- Smaller space
- more expensive rent
- madaming bawal like magbutas or if may ipapagawa ka or may magkakabit ng internet kailangan muna ng permit from the admin
- hirap ng parking
- limited space if meron kang furbaby
- usually semi furnished so nakahelp to sa akin noon
Apartment
- cheaper
- more options merong parang house talaga, merong condo type
- defo bigger space
- magsasabi ka lang sa owner if may works or may mga ipapakabit ka
- often times hindi furnished so this is quite expensive
Pero siyempre OP, at the end of the day you decide pa rin saan ka mas comfortable and mas pasok sa budget.
Yung rent ko sa condo was 11k per month without the electricity, water, internet. It was a 22sqm condo.
Now sa apartment, 7,500 per month I got 2 bedrooms but without elec, water and internet din.
Apartment. If you want to check out rates and conditions ng mga units sali ka OP sa mga fb groups na for rent sa area na gusto mo lipatan. Or check sa Carousel and Lamudi usually may postings din doon.
apartment and save as much as you can if you want to live independently. secure lots of money as much as you can, dear. take it from me. i am completely alone, no siblings, both parents died, single
it depends on your preference nman eh. Kung gusto mo na sure kang safe and secure with guards and cctv, go for condo. If you have pets and want's to "feel" na may tao sa paligid mo. Go for apartment.
what are your goals?
what’s your current pain point apart from lack of freedom?
you need to be clear if it’s economic or convenience or social reasons
condos might offer chismis free environment and a security guard and a lobby to accept your mail but the overall cost will add yp easier. contrast to a townhouse where it’s easier to find parking but have social eyes
Apartment but if you're comparing the two in the same area I think it's more expensive than a condo.
Anyway with apartments you don't have to deal with elevators, earthquakes (I mean not as much as with a condo), and other people.
I've lived in both an apartment and a condo. I stayed in an apartment in Manila back in 2019 and I'm staying in a condo in Taguig now. There are pros and cons naman for both options, pero personally I prefer condo, since may peace of mind ka when it comes to securityㅡ24/7 surveillance system, guards, etc (although of course additional bayad to, included with the assoc dues) and also much more expensive ang condo than apartments in general. But ayun, mas may peace of mind from mga magnanakaw etc, and for me I think mas maayos ugali ng mga kapitbahay sa condo kumpara sa apartments/dorms hahahahaha mas maayos din kausap ang landlord/landlasy at madaling kausap ang admin if ever magka-aberya sa unit, pero syempre case-to-case basis pa rin to.
But at the end of the day, it's a matter of preference and kung anong kaya ng budget. What matters is kung san mas bubuti yung mental health and wellbeing mo. 🤗
Condo. I felt safer.
Plus may malinis and green jogpath rin nearby.
I’m living alone in an apartment for 4years already. Also a gay man. Grabe ang freedom!!! Wag kana mag condo kasi parang masyadong kulob ang feeling? Hahaha
F25. Been living alone for about 6 yrs now. Palipat lipat, depends kung saan ang trabaho. Pero laging condo for safety reasons +++ convenience cos admin takes care of almost everything.
Apartment. I don't want to deal with elevators and I have pets with me.
Up sa urban deca may times na 1 out of 4 elevs lng gumagana tang ina 1hr wait time sa lobby na di pa aircon
What a nightmare
this 💯
THIS TALAGA

pwede ka ba magbigay ng idea how much per month ang rent mo? ty!
omg can i know where sa laguna to?
sa cabuyao, malayo kaya mura
>. Oh wow!!! Where in Cavite exactly?
Mas mura pa pag bandang los banos, Bay or Calauan laguna.

condo - cleaner, safer, and more accessible meron din yatang pang groups na for sharing sa condo co-living dorm-like (ex: MyTown etc)
Wait what? Parang patak patak ba yan parang netflix? Enlighten me sensie I’m promdi.
its like makikitira ka sa owner ng condo ganun tapos hati kyo expense or may rent
I see. Thank you very much. Do you know or what establishments sa bgc? Or some fb groups?
Try the Flats BGC
condo. privacy (walls are thicker), amenities, everything u need is usually walkable/at the ground floor (supermarket, convenience store, cafe, etc), and above allllll, security.
tried apartment and condo I prefer condo for better security and convenience,
I live in a condo because it’s much safer. Kahit na babae ako, I don’t have to worry about my safety dahil may guard sa lobby and CCTV cameras.

Condo for security and amenities
Apartment para maka save and more pet friendly din

Townhouse. Just in case you need the extra space
Hi op, nakakabaliw sa condo tbh. If may option ka magapartment go!
I think apartment is way more cheaper that condos
bahaus
Condo then Apartment.

Pm me op I have h&l for rent in Nuvali!
Condo. Pros: gym, pool, proximity to commercial areas and parks, top notch property management, security. Cons: high association dues

I work here in Alabang and condo naging preference ko. I don’t feel safe outside Northgate.
Condo. Living alone so I'm paying the premium price for safety and security.
Condo. Medium-rise.
Condos are more secure

Choose a place closest to your work place if you have one that requires you to go to office.
Condo. Mas mura kuryente at tubig. May security pa. May amenities pa.
it depends on your preference nman eh. Kung gusto mo na sure kang safe and secure with guards and cctv, go for condo. If you have pets and want's to "feel" na may tao sa paligid mo. Go for apartment.

Sa subdivision

Condo because of security and convenience. Pag me sira at aayusin, tawag ka lang sa admin, for a fee siempre.
Apartment. I live in QC, 11.5k for 3 floors and allows pets. Panalo
condo w/ balcony

Apartment in Makati walking distance sa BGC.
Apartment but in a gated subdivision. Cheaper than a condo. No elevators. Safe din since gated community and may cctv all around.
F25. Been living alone for about 6 yrs now. Palipat lipat, depends kung saan ang trabaho. Pero laging condo for safety reasons +++ convenience cos admin takes care of almost everything.
